Over the summer my family had decided to look at getting a dog. The only problem was finding out the right dog for our home and family. My sisters attempted to convince my dad that a teddy bear was the best option. Lack of research and interest was shown so my dad did not think we were being serious. I had some time off work a few days so I did an online test called Meet Your New Best Friend on the American Kennel Club website. The test asked questions about how many people were in you’re home and how big your house was. The answers gave results to what dog best fit your answers. It gave 5 best solutions and then about 20 other breeds that would work as well. After doing the test multiple times I came across the shiba inu breed. I was on

“Life is like a baseball game. When you think a fastball is coming, you gotta be ready to hit the curve.” -Unknown. Baseball is a game, one that is not timed, one that is not rushed either, but is only allowed twenty-seven outs. For some it means everything to them, for some the opposite. Even though it is just a game, the characteristics and necessities that come along with it, is what people don’t understand. Baseball can teach individuals, all ages, the tools they need to help themselves, schooling and their future. Within this comes the aspects of teamwork, self-confidence, and the importance of family.
We stared at each other speechless, literally speechless. No matter how hard I tried I could make a sound. Her eyes darted back and forth and slowly she opened her mouth and out came a small insect. She screamed, or it appeared she made the motions of screaming but like me no sound came out, she pushed herself away from the desk and stood up baking away in fright. We watched the strange insect like creature scurry away across the room and slide between a crack in the front door.
Today they came back, just like they said they would, just like I knew they would. Today was different though, unlike last time they weren't testing, they were collecting. Every 4 years the kids who are “ lucky ” enough to be ages 10 -18 at the time get to participate in the draft.
I however, do not have experience with teaching a specific course in an accredited medical technology program, but I do have on the job experience with instructing medical laboratory technician student, second year medical students, and new employees in the field of medical technology.
I entered the gym door with 16 people, walking to the lockers on a hot summer day. One by one we all changed into our uniform. When we finished the coach called us all out and made us get a volleyball. Things got really interesting and fun. From there we practiced serving the ball over the net. Next, he made us get in a circle to serve the ball to each other. Tomorrow same time 2:30, we will start again. The objective for today was to play against the team. He split the girls and me into two teams. I got on the black line, feeling anxious but dauntless. I saw the net and the line across the other room and I gazed at it. At practice, I couldn’t hit the ball back when the other team served. I constantly tried and tried, but I failed. I experienced that volleyball’s not my thing, but I had to keep trying.
It is finally Saturday and I get to catch up on all my absent work. But the sad news is that I had to stay at my late great grandmother's house on Friday to clean the house and get it ready for rituals. But it was not that tiring, but I came home at 5:30 am. And I fell asleep and woke up at 8:00 am. Then, I got ready for breakfast and made some orange juice and toasted bread. I left my house at 10 am and I has a hectic drive. So when I was entering the freeway this man shows up and starts to honk for 4 seconds straight for no reason. I found it strange because then he changed lanes and turned on his emergency lights and was driving. But after that I arrived at 2850 S El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA 94403 at 10:34 am. I called Sergeant Jin and
It was a hot sweltering day after soccer practice of my sophomore year of high school. I just pulled into the driveway after coming home from soccer, in my ’99 Honda accord. After entering my house I ripped off my soccer gear and headed for the shower. The three hour long practice in 90 degree weather sapped me of any available energy. In no hurry, I spent half an hour in the shower almost falling asleep as the hot water beat off my back. Before exiting the shower I heard this growl, which sounded like it was from an animal. While drying off, the sound occurred again and I finally realized my stomach was the animal making the noise. After finishing up in the bathroom, I decided it was time to tame the monster in my stomach that would eventually
The day we found out that my grandma was battling cancer for the second time, my parents didn't want me to visit him in the condition that he was in. but finally I told them that I just need to see my grandpa and they were right, I didn't want to see him like that, they had him strapped to a hospital bed, and wouldn't let him up. You could tell my grandpa didn't want to be in there he couldn't even speak but by the way he was grabbing us in the sense of “let me leave”. I just knew this was bad. S few weeks later they sent him to a hospital home, and we went to go visit him he was doing GREAT he was walking talking eyes open and watching the Sunday night football like he usually did, cowboys were his favorite team. I was so happy for him and me that I wasn't going to lose him and I knew in my heart that he was getting better.
This text is a transcript of a conversation between to female friends (Andrea and Barbara). The transcript is about Andrea’s rash and she confides in Barbara about the situation.
I was in 8th grade, but I walked out that high school gym with my shoulders back and head high like I was the big man on campus. My confidence went through the roof. In one day I had gone from extreme anger with my parents. Then I experienced terror as my parents drove me to the high school. Surprisingly this turned around to confidence and pure excitement for the years to come.

When I was a kid, I often overheard my dad talk about shooting people. He was always very thorough about his plans, explaining who, when, and how he was going to shoot. Honestly, I thought my father was a Government Assassin. I never asked him about it because I’d watched enough Guy Ritchie films to know that if he told me, he’d have to kill me. As I grew older I realized my dad may not have been the Assassin I thought he was. I noticed the black bag I assumed he carried his weapons in actually contained a large camera and a few wires. I realized the countless hours he’d spend on the computer weren’t spent researching his targets. Instead, they were spent cutting hours of footage down to minutes. Above all else, I found myself wanting to do
Hello, this is Kiki Mertely from second period. The Mock Trial grade really brought down my average, and my dad is killing me over it. I'm just wondering if there'd be any way to get some extra credit this grading period. I do realize that the Smithsonian grades are coming up, but my dad claims that they're in the next grading period. So if there's anything extra I can do to bring up my average this grading period, I hope you would give me that
I used to be a shy, little freshman. I never raised my hand in class, because I didn’t think it would make a difference. I didn’t participate in activities, because I didn’t think it would make a difference. I didn’t try to change the world, because I didn’t think I would make a difference.
