Unlikely
The phone rang. “I’ll get it!” I yelled. I was expecting a call from my best friend Nicole. Rooster barked. He has recognized the ringtone, so he thinks that every call is for him, even though he’s a dog. We raced across the living room to get to it. He jumped up, trying to grab the phone between his teeth. He missed. I grabbed it. “Hello?” I said, a little breathlessly. “Hi, Nova,” said Nicole. “What’s going on?” I said. I was curious about her Monday. “Well, Ricky smiled at me today,” “Oh. Well...That’s great,” I said, thinking what I’d give to have Ricky smile at me. She giggled. “I know he likes me. I wish he would just ask me out alread-” A big, brown, animal rammed into me from the side. The phone went flying out of my hand and onto the living room floor. “Yeti!” I exclaimed. Yeti was my favorite dog of the two, even if he can be a bother sometimes. I quickly scratched his big brown ears, and then ran across the room and picked up the phone. “You still there,” I asked. “Yeah...What happened?” “Yeti crashed into me from the side,” I said. “Dumb dog,” Nicole replied. I could just picture her flipping her brown hair and rolling her brown eyes. I wanted to say something in Yeti’s defense. I didn’t want to anger my short-tempered friend. “So anyway,” She continued. “You seen the new girl yet?” “No,” I admitted. Nicole described her to me. It appeared that she had blonde hair, blue eyes, and was muscular. “So...What do you think of her?”
Of course I immediately felt badly, but as I got up and proceeded down the stairs, there he was, eyes bright, tail wagging, tongue hanging out.
I yelled “Run... Run to the house hurry!” We ran as fast as we could.
“Did you steal my toothbrush again?” he screamed, storming into my bedroom. I was sitting on my bed with his toothbrush in my mouth. I stopped. He glared at me.
I grabbed my little sister and we darted in house and slammed the door as if a raging bull was after us.
My phone beeped right next me, I picked it up to see a text message from Stiles to come over right away, I am just going to pretend
I rolled my eyes and giggled. “This is gonna be quite the adventure then, huh?” I asked cocking an eyebrow at him.
I hurried into the house. Louis was sitting in the livingroom on his phone. I quickly threw on the first sweatshirt I saw. He perked his head up.
He threw my the keys and I put on my good shoes and packed a bag, this time I remembered to bring snacks. I put my bag
I sunk in the living room and grab my phone, I was about to take a run for it, when I was pinned against the wall, my knife drop and I was against the wall.
"Huh?" She picked up my Ipod and saw the horrifying image I had. "Whoa... a dog.."
He pretended not to be surprised my statement. For once, I had initiated the conversation.
Katrina blinked and looked at the dog’s face for the first time. “I think you’re perfect.” She buried her hands in the thick fur around Missy’s neck. “Can I have her, Mother?”
“Definitely in love,” she muttered to herself with a smile. She planned to greet him with a kiss before
me to come in and to follow him. He waddled into the living room where
It was Tuesday, July 18th. I was a nervous wreck. In desperate need of clothes to wear to impress... her. I begged my best friend Todd to join me at Woodfeild mall. He gave in and we went. Todd and I shopped for hours. Nothing looked good enough for...her. We were running out of time. I made-do with four short sleeve shirts from Champs and two pairs of sweatpants shorts from h&m. The total came out seventy dollars. We walked out and got into Todds car. I was shaking the entire ride home. Will she like it? Am I going to look fat? What about my acne? What if she doesn’t end up liking me? Nothing else crossed my mind as we pulled up to my house and I was dropped off. There was around an hour and a half until I had to leave. I walked inside
