It was a cold day in January and the snow was falling hard. My family had plans to go skiing with my friend Andrew, but then my mom looked out the window. She said “Look at the snow out there. I can barely see the barn!” She began to think we should cancel our plans. My siblings and I begged her to not cancel our skiing plans. Eventually she decided we could risk going despite the weather. I had only been skiing once before, so as we pulled into the parking lot I started getting nervous. We got our skis and put on our snow pants and ski boots. Then we headed out to begin skiing. When I walked outside I felt the harsh cold wind against my face, and I saw the big hill of Hollywood High towering in front of me. It made me feel a little sick
