Home of snookie , situation , and big time MTV shows. This is where I grew up. Is the Jersey shore really all parties and drinking? No. Tomsriver New Jersey is a wonderful town where many crazy and fun things happen. During the summer time it is a mess with people from all over the state and surrounding states passing through so they can go to Seaside ( the beach town 5 minutes from my house). During the summer Tomsriver becomes crowded and buzzing. Downtown becomes a hub for many events. Every Wedensday in a park downtown a famers market is held. At this market you can buy anything from food to cloths. This summer was espically crowed though. This is because of the mobile phone game called "Pokemon Go". Pokemon Go is a game where you travel …show more content…
The reason for this is because of the Halloween parade. Through the enitre month of October you can and will see people building floats in prep for the parade. The kids in Tomsriver actually have to trick or treat the day before Halloween because its such a big event. The Tomsriver Halloween parade has been going for 88 years and is now the 3rd largest Halloween parade in the world. People use to line up chairs up and down main street so they could get a good seat. I was in the parade twice actually. Both times it was a great experience if not a little embarssing. I was in the parade because of boy scouts. I remember walking down the street with my silly uniform on trying to be cool to impress the girls on the side that were watching. ( some things never change) I live about a block from mainstreet so the day of the parade is always crazy by me. Cars are lined up and down my street a few times Ive thought about charging people to park in front of my house , trust me I would have made a killing. Halloween day in Tomsriver has such a great atmosthphere its like everyone is town comes together for one night. Though it may be crazy and kind of annyoing to see all the cars honking and parked on my street i wouldnt want it any other
Tommy Read came in today and he was mad. He wanted to but a pack of air-o-cells, but his card did not go through. I called Kathleen Squares, and tried to get her to run the card, but it did not go through again. I managed to get another card from him, and he was finally able to pay for his order. Obviously, he was very irritated when he left the lab. He said that he would call Sheryl (his sales rep) because of what happened today. I let him know that it was fine to do that. Thirty minutes later Sheryl calls saying that Tommy was complaining about us. I clarified the situation, and she said that from now on he would call her, and she would process his air-o-cell orders. She will then send us an email to let us know that he is picking
It started as typical Tuesday with a couple of court hearings, maybe an arrest, but nothing to exciting. That all changed at dawn.
It was a beautiful day in early winter 2012, my Family had had a big dinner at my uncle's house, the plan was to go a Blazers game after we had all gotten done eating. I had moved to Tigard oregon with my Mom in summer of 2012 from Connecticut, about six months before all of this had happened. We had no idea where anything was, the only thing we had someone what of idea was my uncle's house and the grocery store, but beyond that we were basically lost all the time. At this time we didn't have a car yet, so relied mostly on my uncle taking us places.
Growing up in rural North Carolina was both a blessing and a curse. My hometown, Fallston, North Carolina, is a tiny town way off the beaten path. Most people speak with a southern accent, are devout christians, vote Republican, think camouflage is a normal fashion pattern, and adore country music. But while I was a child, none of these things were a problem. I never realized how close-minded everyone was or how there were no opportunities for success; I was too concerned with the three most important events of the year: the Fallston FunFest, the Belwood Tractor Pull, and the Cleveland County Fair. However, as I grew older, zeal wore off and reality set in. I started to realize how conservative and restrictive it was. What little Fallston offered,
It was 2:30 school just got out me and Tayler where going to leave as I realis I forgot my book in the classroom so we ran back to the classroom and when we got there was a mysterious door in the back of the classroom. There were no teachers in site so I decided to go over to the door and open it. There was a very bright light coming from the door. Tayler and I took one step in the door and then it slam shut behind us. We took a few more step closer to the light. But now we were in some other town named Brownard County, Florida. I saw the sign that said the name of the town.
The final weeks of my first semester in college are coming to an end. My Columbus State english class has written a total of three projects, and a total of four papers. There are a lot of grammatical issues that, at the beginning of the year, I had issues on. However, I have improved on these errors drastically, and have become a better writer because of it. Even though I am still working on many aspects of my writing, I do believe that I have become a better writer. I believe that my biggest issues while writing are run on sentences, making a strong thesis statement, and having quotes stand alone at the beginning of a paragraph.
“ Hey mom, im heading out to the track” said Marcus Fisher, a sophomore at Starsman High school. He has always had an interest in track and field. He found out that his Freshman year he was a very good four-hundred runner. He had hoped someday he could be state champion for his 2a school district.
As a child, I loved seeing new places and sometimes revisiting the old places that I consider my favorite. The Jersey Shore is one of those places that I love revisiting over and over and could never find myself getting tired of it. One of my most favorite spots is and always will be, Cape May, New Jersey. Cape May is a very special place to me because it was a place I have always visited every summer ever since I was a little girl. I use to go down to Cape May every summer with my family. We use to stay at the Victorian Motel every year. I remember the first time we got to the hotel, the first thing my brother's and I would do is change into our swimsuits and jump into the pool. When it got late, my family and I would take a walk in the outdoor
I was a young child sitting in abandoned house waiting for the black blizzard to pass.I went to get wet towel to put over my face.
Growing up in Middletown New Jersey was like living in outer space. Everything was so big and sirene. Space consists of a variety of vast colors. In New Jersey, during the summer, the grass was a luscious, emerald green. The sky was always a sapphire blue. During the winter, a blanket of scintillating frost crystallized over the grass. Like space, over the course of time, things in my hometown began to change.
My parents worked hard and strived for their success, people often thought because my mother dressed me very nice that I had money. I recall growing up in a one bedroom apartment, but as my parents worked to gain more knowledge through college and grad school that they would able to provide a better life for me as I grew older. My mother works as a social worker and dad a Veteran of the United States Army and currently possesses a degree in Business Administration society labeled us as stuck up rich girl. My grandparents often told me stories of days on the farm and working for ten cents a day to earn fifty cents a week. I was taught to be thankful for the small things and big things would come. My childhood often bring tears to my eyes as
Shoutouts to the only person whom has bear with my weird-self for the past four years non stop. From civics and careers to accounting, our first time in greasy hull, our trip to NY, from going to hockey games that I don't understand and thirsty Thursdays. Thanks for always being there for me Jake, there's no one I would rather share a bottle of jagger with

A voice echoed through the rather large house, snapping me out of the trance like affect that the long editing sessions seem to have on me.
Then the 134 arrived. I got on, showed my pass to the bus driver and
