Every Part Matters Nearly everyone struggles with something when they first enter high school. Entering high school can be exciting, and intimidating. Many kids don’t expect to see a lot of changes because in middle school they were the most popular, or the best at a certain sport or position in a sport. Whether it’s on the field or even during lunch, your position or “social rank” is important. Some of the worst drama comes from the soccer teams or basketball teams fighting about “who's on varsity” or “who is whatever position” and so on. If a freshman gets one of those spots, people talk about it. If a senior doesn’t make varsity, people notice as well.
