Anyway, back to Spencer. I was leaning against the wall, and then I someone ran into me. I stumbled and fell sideways, right into Spencer. For a couple seconds I couldn’t figure out what happened. All I knew was my head kinda of hurt and there was beer spilled all over my shirt. Someone held out a hand and pulled me up. That someone was Vivian. At the time, the only thing I knew about Vivian was that she scared the shit out of me. Two years prior to that day, she looked a lot like Alice, actually. Cute blonde hair, bright blue eyes, wore little dresses to school. Then she changed. She died her hair black, got a nose piercing, and I hadn’t seen her in a dress since. I hadn’t even talked to her in several years when she pulled my beer-soaked …show more content…
“Turn around.” Confused, I rotated back around, just like I had before. “Ho-ly Shit,” muttered the black guy who Vivian called Aztec. Vivian started laughing again. “Kid, you gotta come with us. Your head’s bleeding like crazy. Can you not feel that?” On instinct I touched the back of my head. I could feel it. The blood. I pulled my hand away, and it came back covered in red. “Oh my God.” I mumbled, “I’ll get Alice.” I started heading in the direction of the stairs again, but my legs wouldn’t work right. My head had started pounding and my eyes felt a little heavy. I felt myself sway to the side, and then righted myself. Aztec put a hand on my shoulder. “Hey, uh, kid, whatever your name is, maybe you shouldn’t go anywhere right now.” “No, no,” my voice sounded weak, “I need to get Alice.” While I spoke, I pushed my way through the crowd. Aztec’s hand was still on my shoulder. Behind me, I heard him say something to Vivian about starting the van. The weight came off of my shoulder. I made it to the stairs, and then surveyed the climb I was about to have to take. I took a deep breath, trying to get as much oxygen in my brain as possible. “Maybe you should just get in the car. I’ll get Alice,” I hear Vivian suggest from behind
"If it isn't too much trouble," Veronica replied, leaning on the column of the bed and trying to stand up. She straightened up to her full height, but realized that she was still weak and needed to lie down. However, the desire to return to the hotel was stronger than her and, showing stubbornness, Veronica made a few steps. But the body failed her treacherously and she began to fall backwards. The Italian managed to catch Veronica, but not seeing a small stool under his feet, he stumbled over it and also started falling back. The girl grabbed at the man, as at a fragile straw that was breaking before her eyes.
He doesn’t notice that the nurse has already given them a new appointment until he feels the weight of Helena’s grip being transferred from Sister Anne’s arm to his. Not that she’s a burden, he thinks, walking her to the elevator. She’s just the weight he needs to keep from floating away. Something to keep him grounded. The talking treatment will help him as much as her, maybe more.
I tried to focus on the path ahead, anything to keep my mind off the constant anguish in my body. The track was rocky and uneven, each step a stumbling lurch ahead. One unsure foothold and the whole house
“Come on big guy!” I said as I ushered Journey upstairs. As he struggled to get up the stairs onto his designated spot, it scared me that he went from being an energetic, hyper dog into this.I didn’t know how to feel, I just felt like a shell, empty, emotionless, lost on an island where I’ve never been, alone. I had not the slightest idea what to do and that gave me a sense of hopelessness. I sat down, next to
Just then, a shrill wind blew past us, raising the hairs on my arms. I tightened my grip on the flashlight. My heart began to hammer in my chest. Something felt different now. We were walking out further than last time. The flames should’ve come by now. I was starting to feel the familiar sinking feeling. What if we were walking into a trap? And it was my fault having forced Gemma. In the distance, I suddenly caught a glimpse of a faint blue light.
To the left there was a small crack that I knew none of us would be able to squeeze past even if we tried. Come on Jacob think I told myself think hard. Then I had an idea. I could carry Addison across first and leave her on the street then come back and carry Emma over. I needed to be as fast as possible though, I didn’t want to risk Emma being eaten by the hollow. “Emma and Addison we need to get out of here before the hollow snaps back to normal. Addison, I’m going to carry you over first and the I’m going to come back and I’ll carry you over to the street Emma.” I looked at both Emma and Addison. Emma nodded her head, she was still surpruised from me somehow taming the beast. “Yes sir” replied Addison. I scooped up Addison in my arms and walked as quickly but quietly as I possibly could. Please don’t wake up, please, please, please I said in my mind to the hollow. The voice that had came into my head when I had tamed the hollow wasn’t english but I has suddenly forgotten how to speak whatever dialect I had spoken just minutes before. I hoped that english would work now though. I reached the street and set Addison down on the hood of a parked
I suddenly woke up, in the hospital, all I could think was, “What happened?” There was no one with me.
“ I heard Tahoe just got four inches of fresh snow!” my friend David said excitedly as we passed Donner lake on the freeway. David and I were on our way to visit an abandoned ski resort that we only heard people talk about. The dark clouds outside were looming over our heads as the sun began to set. Icy snow began to flutter down, covering the narrow trail we have been following for last couple of hours. Suddenly our jeep halts at a stand still and I see the distress on David’s face. The warmth of the car is quickly escaping as we open to the door and jump into the dark forest outside.
"sure, let's play '20 questions' to get to know each other," relief washed over the creature's face.
She could hear a faint echo of her words repeating themselves, almost mimicking her. Her mind was distant, she needed to calm down. Attempting this, she tried to pull herself up from the concrete floor, but failed. With both her hands and legs tied together, the task was nearly impossible. Also, the rigid rag covering her eyes didn’t make anything easier.
Andrea looked around the room. “Is it just us?” she whisper. Elena shock her head no. I took this chance to sneak out of the room. Louis and Zayn were right where we left them. Right before I opened the glass door I could see my refection, I was in my pj's tank top and shorts, my hair as a bit messy; not really caring I open the door. Walked out. Walking off I toss my hair up in a ponytail. Do a few quick stretches. Then take off running. I haven't been running in weeks. Part way down the beach I can hear my name being called so I stop running. Elena and Andrea where walking, seeing Elena can't run. Waiting for them to get closer I sit. I couldn't see the house any more.
"Jacques dinner is ready!" I knew that voice, too well, it was Rose and she had gotten closer. I had no idea where I was, I had no idea which way to go, I was able to walk for some insane reason, so I walked as quietly as I could in what I had hoped would be as far away from Rose as possible. There were so many trees, I was for sure getting lost,
“God, what the hell just happened.” she was able to slur out. The light seemed to race in next, making everything just hurt even more. She wanted to scream in pain for that damn fucking headache, but just couldn’t. She reasoned “My breath is barely able to form breaths or words that screams are the least of my problems. Actually, maybe it is a problem considering what or who could have abducted and knocked me out. Rita’s already come for me. Why not others? Why don’t I just be all of the villains’ whipping dog or some damsel in distress?”
“It shouldn’t have been like this,” She muttered again, as she wiped her bloody hands against her clothes. She squinted at her dark surroundings, looking for something-- anything that could help her. “Please, someone help me!” She walked slowly and steadily towards the thick trees of the forest, hoping that she was going the right way towards the highway.
“Ok, be back before dark!” she yelled back. I headed towards those fields that I gazed at everyday and ran for what felt like hours , until finally I reached the forests. MY parents didn’t like it when I came here but I was tired of doing nothing. I walked through it until I reached a creek. The cool water welcomed my feet, and I sighed loudly in relief. But as I leaned back I heard something mimic me, but only much quieter. I swiveled around and looked to see if anyone was with me.
