All summer Aaron has been watching football anticipating the start of the season. His favorite teams are the NFL team Atlanta Falcons and the college football team Alabama Crimson Tide. He has watched video replays over and over of previous games and has looked up the new players who will be playing the year of 2015. He has also watched videos of the new players college and high school highlights to see if he thinks they are a good pick. He has always been so into football ever since he was a little kid and wishes he could have a job involving that field like becoming a coach or a general manager. Because Aaron is so into football, I thought it would be a great surprise for me to buy two tickets to a NFL Falcon’s football game at their home field in Atlanta. He has never been to an NFL football game before, neither have I, and I thought it would be money well spent. Aaron’s birthday is in September and I’m thinking about if I should get them by then or not. But then I decided to plan him a surprise party, with the Atlanta Falcons theme, and get him things that he could wear to the game. So I got him a Falcons sweatshirt and two Falcons hats. I decided to surprise him with …show more content…
I got Aaron some other little things that were under the tree that I had him open first. Then second to last I had him open the box that I put his jersey in. He was so happy about the jersey because he has always said he needed to get one but never did. Then I said to him, “I’m glad you like it, you're going to need it.” Aaron said “I love it, but what do you mean I’m going to need it?” I then told him to check his stocking. Inside were the two tickets tied together with a red bow. His jaw dropped and his face lit up with excitement as he realized what he was looking at. I’ve never seen him so happy. And I have never felt more of what Christmas was truly about. The gift of giving and giving happiness to someone else, is a gift within
Football wasn’t just a sport for me. It shaped my life in a lot of different ways it helped me become the person I am today. I started playing football when I was twelve years old when I started play it became the best sport ever. I started learning how to do a lot of different stuff on the football field. Football allowed me to take my anger out on the field.
Monday afternoon when David got home he got a phone call from Alabama’s Head Coach, Nick Saban. Saban said,” Hey, David. This is Nick Saban. I was calling to say I heard about your performance Friday night, and I would love to have you come out, so I could see what all the talk is about.” David agreed and scheduled a tryout for that coming up Saturday. Once David got off the phone, he wrote down on every calendar “ALABAMA TRYOUT” for September 6. After he finished writing on the calendars and was able to tone down his high-pitched, excited girl squeals into a more manly fashion, he called his friends to tell them the good news. His friends were excited for him because they knew how long he had been wishing for this day to come. They decided to throw a party for David Friday night to celebrate this big moment for
I had prepared for weeks on end for this day, every week trying to better myself for this day, hoping that when this day came the hard work would pay off. It was the day of my trials to get into the Scotland under fifteen squad that would go to Sweden to compete in one of Europe’s biggest basketball tournaments. I and a few others made the trip down to the Peak in Stirling to compete for a place in the squad. The whole journey down I was tense thinking about what would come from today, I prayed that I would make the cut.
As an individual who has an appreciation for the game of football, nothing would be more thrilling to me than playing under those Friday night lights. As a child, I had idolized the players from my home town football team. I’ve always dreamt of one day being in their shoes, playing in front of a crowd full of people. Once I began my high school football career, I was very eager to play Varsity. Little did I know, from freshmen to junior year I would be plagued by injuries that would not allow me to participate. I was on the verge of giving up and quitting football altogether. It would have been simple for me to give up, but I was not going to let my childhood dream and years of commitment go to waste. My senior season, I was able to conquer
The game of football has been a crucial part of my life and an integral aspect in my maturity as a young man. From playing, watching, or teaching the game, I have learned many qualities that are needed to be successful in life. I have gained toughness from many long workouts, practices, and games. I have also learned how to take criticism in a positive way and become better from it. At Michigan, I would hope to continue any role possible involving football. Whether it would be playing, coaching, or even helping with equipment, I would love to participate in any way
I believe that most of my professors would look at me and think that I am active, but I think that they would be surprised to know about my football career. Having the chance to play professionally for the Canadian Football League, while taking 19 credit hours, would be something that they would probably be surprised to know about. In terms of traits, I think that they would find it somewhat surprising that I am naturally a shy person. In class, I like to stay active in conversation and participation because we may potentially be graded upon this. Outside of the classroom, I am typically more reserved. I am usually more focused on things that I need to get done in order to succeed, as opposed to joining a group of people for coffee and chatting.
Mike brought three of his freinds to a baseball game. Last Sunday was his birthday and his parents said he could bring three friends anywhere. He chose the baseball game. Mike loved baseball. He loved everything about it. He liked playing it, watching it on television, and watching it live. His friends were excited too. They brought a blanket and sat in the grass. Mike prefered sitting in the grass to sitting in seats. He could stretch his legs. He could lay down if he wanted to. He could watch the funny people in the stands. Mike and his friends left their blanket to get some food. They all got hotdogs and french fries. Mike planned on getting ice cream later. The local minor league team was pretty good, but the opposing team was supposebly
There’s another gift for him. I’m a good guy like that. I want you to take him out in just those boots and your black jacket. The one that belts in the middle and comes to your mid-thigh - you know the one I mean?”
I'm not complaining I'm just saying I think that's contributing to my Christmas stress because I usually start so early I don't have to worry about the money as much. I'm just really glad he told me exactly what he wants this year. He ask for this special flashlight it was pretty expensive for a flashlight but he really wants it and a good flashlight can mean the difference between finding a deer and not. It's also rechargeable and has 5 stars on amazon so It should be a good buy. I probably won't do much more for him other than some snacks, a larger cast iron skillet, and some thermal
My relationship with football will soon come to an end, as it will for so many others this year. From the beginning of summer until now is when everything has started to settle in that this is my last year. This year is everything that me and my teammates have worked for my whole high school football career. Everybody has worked to make their mark on the school and the game. Through all of the summer and beginning of the school year we have worked hard to make this season one for the books.
My story begins in a town, a small town, a town where nothing really happens. I live in this town on 1015E 400S todo Road and I go to school in this town. This town is called Knox. In Knox we take pride in our sports like softball, baseball, volleyball but the most important one is football. Football is the sport everyone in town comes to watch, football is what everyone waits for and everyone gets sad when it is over. Me and my friend Jaden Shepard were at one of these particular football games and we were talking about the town.
Entering high school, I was eager to become a three-sport athlete: football, basketball, and lacrosse—especially basketball. That fall, I was having an undistinguished career in football, despite my father’s enthusiastic “Let’s go,
How much I knew about this subject before I started it was little to nothing. I had to start from ground zero and work my way up, because what I knew was that they had to come up with game plans and have a set defensive. What I have learn that you have to know more than the blind eye. You have to always expect what they can do to your team, and counter everything they got to score on you.
The day of his dinner was the following Saturday. My mom and I spent several hours in the store trying to find a perfect gift for Wayren. I had no desires to give him a gift anyone could give him. I wanted it to have a meaning. My mom had no problems with finding a bargain so we took a trip to the jewelry store.
Aaron was an 18 year old, senior in highschool, who enjoyed football and soccer. He lived in the state of Arizona with his dad, mom, younger brother, and younger sister. His family loved the sport soccer, his younger brother played as well as his younger sister who was coached by his dad. It was one big happy family but Aaron knew moving out was soonly approaching. Aaron didn’t want to leave his family but he knew he would enjoy the college life with his friends. He was going to the U of A with his girlfriend and some other high school friends to play football. But the high school fun came to an end when summer was just two weeks away and his moving had started. Aaron and four of his college teammates were moving into one house near the U of
