“We’re here!” Addie and I screamed as we pulled into the parking lot of Gexa Energy Pavilion. My best friend and I were finally there to see our favorite band (which we have wanted to see since summer before 4th grade). The line was super long but it was 100 percent worth it. We walked up to the grass area and laid our towels out to sit down. About 30min later, the opening acts (Roy English and Hey Violet) preformed. We waited about 30 more min. and all of this sudden, we heard drums. It was them. The moment we had been waiting for since 4th grade. Addie and I were jumping and screaming so much that we had to take off our shoes! About 5 songs after the concert started, a couple came up to us and told us that they had front row tickets and
Only a small percentage of the people who had bought tickets were unable to make the show. And it was really too bad that they were not able to make it, because it was reviewed by many who attended to be the best show that Interstate 35 had ever put on. And I got to be a part of it! Ziggy Springer was able to sing, “Oh Baby!”, at the top of his lungs to screaming teenage girls dressed in poodle skirts, sign plenty of autographs, and give his fans lots of hugs. The show was amazing, and everyone around me was amazing. The night was simply
I just got done with hockey practice and boy was I dehydrated. It felt like I was in a desert for an hour jogging non stop. Usually I don’t fill up my water bottle at practice but I sure doubted it. I put my gear in the car and hopped in the backseat, exhausted as a person that just got done with a sprinting workout for a hour. My dad told me that my assistant coach signed us up for a little game at the Xcel Energy Center and I didn’t even know what he said because I was focusing too much on getting a drink, but he said it again and I realized that this time it was actually true.
I am fixing my hair, and humming along to a song I heard on the radio, when I hear the concert start. I heard the announcements begin and the lights go dim. There was people all around me. People tripped over cords or called out demands. Some had microscopic mics on their faces, some had been putting on makeup on.
To my surprise, we won first place at that festival. Not only the audience, but the judges gave us a standing ovation. The best part for me was when one of the legends, Wynton Marsalis, announced to the whole auditorium that he had cried after hearing us performed, and that the festival would never be the same again. After receiving our scoring sheets from the five judges, we read the comments. Every score box out of 160 was blank, and the only word on one of the sheets between the five judges was wow, the highest honor a group could hope
So one of the best thing I have ever gotten to do is go to Six Flags. The one I got to go to is in Van Texas. It is a crazy amusement park that has the third fastest roller coaster in the country.I got to go with some people too. Me Anne Mae, Jack, Jonathan, Mason, Alison, Olle, Davis, and my mom. It is a very cool amusement park. My favorite part was the Mr. Freeze ride. Jonathan said, “Mr. Freeze was his favorite too”.
Over my spring break I was lucky enough to get to go to Florida with my college baseball team and I got to see one if the most beautiful baseball stadiums in the US, JetBlue Park. I got to watch Florida Gulf Coast take on Florida State at JetBlue Park, which is used as a spring training field for the Boston Red Sox. My initial thought of the field is it’s almost exactly like Fenway Park with the same field layout, the big green monster in left field. Which surprised me because this was only a spring training field, very few games will be played or broadcasted here. This ballpark was unexpectedly nice and an experience I will never forget.
The venue that the concert was at the Honda Center in Anaheim and my friend and I got there one hour before it started because we had seated tickets. The lines to get checked by security were really long and we stood in line for 30 minutes but the security outside the venue were
I stood on the podium, looking out at the field and took a deep breath. The fans in the stands behind me were a buzz in my ears as I made eye contact with every member of the band. I held my hands up and clapped three times and then SNAP! The instruments were up and I counted off, starting our first marching band show of the season.
Three days after my high school graduation, Randolph and I spent a day in a whole new city. Being from Roselle, I had never really been to one of the most beautiful city such as downtown Chicago. Spending the day in Chicago was like discovering a new way of living life that I had only heard from siblings and the news. I checked my bags to make sure I didn’t leave anything essential behind and I checked them five more times. we were sleepy during the flight as we arrived at the airport and made our way to the gate. The streets are filled with an atmosphere that is like a child on a shopping spree in a candy store. I was thrilled as I realized that I was in one of the biggest airport in the United States. watching the Chicago Cubs win the World Series was the most amazing feeling.
When I'm at the Twenty One Pilots concert I will get to meet new people who also like the same band that I do. While I'm there I get to see them live and feel the vibe of all the fans. When the band is done performing and go backstage I will get to meet Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph.
Attending Marywood Wind band- It was rewarding, because I was able to meet new people and enjoy the
As we all waited in line to go into the concert there was a thrill of
I arrived at the Times Union Center about 15 minutes before the performance began, I got my ticket and ended up with a great seat in row G, seat 12. The reception hall was very nicely decorated, and the staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I went to the bar, ordered my drink and made my way into the show room.
First, we got our blankets and pillows ready on the lawn of the main stage and got some snacks from the snack bar, Which was very, very expensive. A red bull was $5 and a 20oz bottle of water was about $7. Not the best prices difference between water and a red bull. We got back to the main venue and the urge just started performing. I didn't really know any songs by them so i just sat there and ate my food that i got from the snack bar and my backpack that i filled with snacks. The urge ended and we went to the other venue where people were all migrating to to see the Beastie Boys cover band perform. The bass of the songs that they were playing were literally making my ears move into my brain. They played a couple more songs and left the venue. After that we went back to the snack bar and got more water and a little more snacks for the meantime while the other bands were getting ready to perform. We just got to the Goldfinger performance and tried to get to the front of the concert by pushing and shoving people out of the way. It was pretty much impossible to get to the front of the venue because every time we got closer there were more people bunched up together trying to get closer. Eventually some guy in a wheelchair came through and we followed the guys behind him but he suddenly got stopped in the middle of the crowd.
My first concert was also my first time seeing a pop band. Every teenager loved One Direction, including me, and dreamed of seeing them live one day. This experience meant a lot to me since it was a band that I had loved for a very long time. The tickets were a gift from my mother, Melissa, and I went with my sister, Melisvette. During that, I realized how happy concerts made me and got a job so that I could continue experiencing moments like these. What I didn’t want to experience, though, was the price it was to go to pop concerts.
