How Old Were You When You Began To Drive I was 10 years old when I began to drive on my own and was 16 years old when I first drove by myself. It was great and one of the best things to ever happen in my life. When I was a little child I would be sitting in my mom or dads lap holding on to the steering wheel because I couldn’t reach the gas petal. As I was getting older my dad started teaching me how to drive by myself. The first time I did it by myself I didn’t know how to make the car go forward or backwards. The first time I jump in the my dad vehicle I thought all I had to do was to crank the car up and push the gas petal to make the vehicle go, but it wasn’t just that that I had to do and I found that out quick because my daddy was …show more content…
After I got my permits my mom and dad started to let me drive the car more and take them places when they aren’t feeling like driving. When I got my license they began to send me to places alone to go get stuff for them that they needed. The first place they sent me was to Bogalusa to go meet up with my sister at her job at citi trends. I knew where and how to get to Bogalusa because I been there so many times, but the only thing I couldn’t remember sometimes is where my sister job was at. So every time I was to make it to Bogalusa I would call my mom or my sister to give me directions. The next day the whole family wanted to go out to eat somewhere at a restaurants to celebrate me for passing my driver’s license test, but the only thing about was that I had to drive the whole time and it was supposed to be a surprised for me. I had to drive all the way to Hattiesburg to some restaurant I never been to before. The food there was good and I had really enjoyed myself. That was one of the best things to happen to me in my life. All I got to say about driving is that it was the best of the best thing to ever happen to
The most outstanding moment of my life so far is when i got my first car.It was a cool March morning in Pensacola Florida.I had my drivers test at eight thirty in the morning at the DMV on W street. As i got to the DMV ,we checked in for my appointment we had made.Soon the instructor came out and told me it was my turn.As nervous but as ready as i could be,i followed him out to my car. After he checked to make sure all safety requirement were checked,i began my test. All i could remember was what my parents had told me.¨If you pass your drivers test you will get a car.¨.When i finished my test,i had only missed 9 points. So i went back into the DMV and took my picture for my license. On my way back home my mom said ¨we have something for you.¨.As

Most people remember the first time they got to sit behind the wheel of a car and the exhilarating feeling of control. The first time I drove came about in the final lap of the derby I raced in the summer before my freshman year of high school. The race took place in Daley Plaza in Chicago on a sunny Saturday afternoon. My team and I were filled with excitement and nerves as we prepared to begin the race. Everyone chose me to drive as our final driver, and the thought of potentially driving to secure our victory terrified me. Soon the race started and we were swept away in the first three crazy laps and the intense challenges. Finally, Aastha pulled up to our pit and scrambled out of the car to complete the challenge. I quickly threw on the
A pivotal moment in my life is when I went to go take my driving test. This happened on my birthday, July 12th 2016. I had been practicing with my father and my sister for a couple months, preparing for my first step into adulthood. Up to this point, I had been driving the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee that my sister and I were sharing. However, the night before my test, it wouldn’t start. We had gotten this car to be our “beater” car, and because it had a hand brake in the middle, which is a requirement for taking the test. But now that the car wasn’t working, I had to use my grandma’s car, which was a car I’ve never driven before. My dad and I left early for my test so I could practice in the car I had never driven before. I was terrified, but determined to pass my first time. My sister had to take her test twice, and usually she was more successful in her endeavors, so this was my chance to prove that I could do at least one thing better than her. Luckily I passed with flying colors, according to my instructor, and to this day I tend to be a designated driver for my friends. I often run errands for my parents and I drive myself to work. This independence and responsibility has helped me grow and has been a critical point in my Big History.
I think that the driving age should stay the same. One reason is that I think that if they are 16 they are old enough to drive. They have been through drivers’ education so they all should know what they are doing when they are driving. Also there parents should have already had them out practicing driving when they’re not in drivers education. I just feel that they are already old enough to be driving.
The first time I drove. So, my grandmother decided to risk here life to teach me to drive for only two blocks. And my grandmother was a horrible teacher because she is used to standard cars and not automatic, so she puts her feet on both the gas pedal and the brake. Anyways, I can't believe that the car seems to go so fast and I was only going 5 mph! And then, I didn't know how to brake and my grandmother almost hit her head on the dash! Luckily, we made it
She was patient; she did not push me to drive in areas that I was not comfortable to drive in. We drove around the residential neighborhood for so many times until I felt comfortable going out into the main streets. I was very bad at turning, at driving at the right speed, at stopping smoothly, at changing lanes, and everything else you could think of. My mother understood that; instead of trying to teach me every skill at once, she took the time to teach me one skill at a time. For example, we circled around a particular route for about ten times, just to let me practice turning left. It was an incredibly slow process, but it was what was needed to let me build some confidence in my driving
At sixteen, I received my first job, and by the age of seventeen, I purchased my first car. While the car was only worth about $200.00, I gave the seller $1200.00. Along with overpaying, the car did not have a title of ownership. When I first purchased this car, I had the understanding with the seller that the vehicle had a salvage title, but only a bill of sell was given with the car. However, this was still not my worst experience with this automobile. From the inside to the outside, to under the hood, and even on paper, this car was an illegally procured nightmare.
Although I turned fifteen and a half over the summer, I still got my temporary licence, signed up for classes the very next day, and did my incars as soon as I possibly could. I figured out soon on that driving was not as easy as most people made it out to be. All of my friends made driving out to be fun and easy but not be. I found it difficult to stay in the lines and at the right speed every second I was driving. Even though my driving was subpar, I still passed my incars and driving school so when my birthday came, I figured I was one-hundred percent ready for my driver's test.
The roar of the engine, the wind in your hair these represent the freedom of owning your first car. I learned how to drive in our cow pasture when I was only ten years old, and after that I dreamed of the day that I would have my very own car. I was so excited to get and drive my own car, little did I know that my dream would come crashing down.
Around two months ago, I started driving. A couple days after my birthday, my dad took me to the Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain my learner's permit. At first, learning all of the functions and movements of a car was difficult, but I quickly grasped them after my school course and my parents started to teach me. As I began to become more familiar with the car, I started to drive through my neighborhood. Originally, I was nervous starting off, but after several times of being behind the wheel it begun to feel natural.
At the age of 17 all I could think about was having a car. However, I understood that owning a car, I would be required to have a job. This would allow me to pay for insurance, gas and maintenance issues. I also understood buying a car required me to have a driver license. After taking all the necessary steps to purchase my first car. The very first car I bought was a “lemon”.
First day I drove the car I was 18 years old. It was my father new car. In my opinion driving is something for fun, it is something interesting. On day I hang out with my best friend, I was driving fast and without seeing the street, I was talking and laughing with my friend, suddenly I crash a taxi car. I was so afraid I told him that I will give you all the money you want but do not call the police. I gave him 1500 thousand dollar. I fix the small damage that happened to my dad car. Then I drove back to my home. When I arrived I press the gas instead of the break to park my car. Unfortunately I crash my home wall, it really was a disaster. After this situation I realized that driving mean your life, others life and it needs awareness.
It all started when I was in second grade. After school, my great grandparents picked me up from my house and we drove for what felt like two weeks but it was only two hours to her farm about half hour of Waterloo. They had packed me snacks so we wouldn’t have to stop and get food. The entire time I was in the car I couldn’t
The first time I drove a true car was two years ago. I begged my friend so many time to teach me how to drive. Fortunately, my roommate his left his car to me when I came to ASU. Every day when I got out of class, I would drive the car around Tempe. But every thing got change after that Friday. It became a nightmare for me.
