I drive a Limo for an actor. It is a good job. One night I got a bit more ccomfortable than I should have. Since I am working for him a few years already, we are some kind of friends. One night when I was driving him, he told me to stop at some bar, to go for a drink. And we did. Noting much, but enough to feel the buzz. Why would a police pull over a limo? Because there was an accident on the road in front of us, and by avoiding the cars, I bumped the one parked on the sidewalk. Police came over imediately, well I didn`t manage to get away even if the famous actor was with me. Fortunately he knows people. He called the H&M Law firm, and told who he was and what happened, they said to him not to worry, and that he will have his driver by
I remember it like it happened yesterday. It was a warm sunny day on October 27 2013, and we were driving to my sister Amy’s house in Kaukauna. We had to drop off a set of bunk beds at her house for my niece Mia. My dad, mom, my sister Anna, and I were all in one car, while my two brothers, Andrew and David, were in the Ford Ranger ahead of us. We were having fun in the car, talking, laughing and listening to music, until we came up on a yield sign. My brother Andrew proceeded through it first, when a black Envoy came speeding around the corner, too fast to slow down. When Andrew saw it coming he tried to swerve, but the car was going too fast, and it was too late. The car hit the truck,
Imagine getting handed over the keys to your very first car. I felt so much excitement inside of me. All I could think of being a race car driver. When I felt those keys in my hand for the first time, I could see myself cruising down the country roads to school. I also thought about being in the streets and racing my friends. Then I felt my mother snatch the keys from my hand and saying “I know you are not thinking about racing.” My mom would always tell me not to speed before I left the house. I heeded the warnings she gave. Feeling like I knew what I was doing, I had a sense of invincibility and knew the cops would never catch me. I ended up seeing the day that I thought would never come.
During our first run Taylor and I noticed that the car was turning way to the left. So in order to fix this we started our car as far to the right of the track as possible. After our first trials we realized that we needed to fix our string. We needed to cut the string we had attached off of our car and make a new one. When we made a new one me made it a little bit longer than the car and only hot glued it to the hook, not to the frame. Our new string had a loop in the end of it so we could put that on the toothpick. So now we understood that the toothpick did have a real purpose and we couldn’t glue the string to the mousetrap. After we made these changes we ran our car three more times.
to his vehicle and wait to see if the individuals who caused he damages to his car are found. Jeff
He had written to me. I was perfect for the job, and I could hardly disagree. As the
I approached the vehicle and asked MD why she was driving without someone 21 years of age in the vehicle and she informed me that she just wanted to hang out with friends and watch the fireworks. I asked MD if anyone in the vehicle had consumed alcohol and she told me no.
On 10/25/17 at 6:58 AM, Security Account Manager Enmanuel Cabrera was notified by the Inbound Shack that there was a truck driver that did not want to leave the property. Immediately, A/M Cabrera made his way to the enter shack. Upon arrival, A/M Cabrera met with Yard Specialist Lakwinder Singh and Dan Balan. The Yard specialist explained that the truck driver’s load was canceled and was asked to leave off the property. At the time of the incident, YNL truck driver Steven Stroud was driving tractor 1510 trailer V500587. YNL driver Stroud stated he did not want to leave because he was trying to reschedule his appointment. A/M Cabrera was able to separate both parties and de-escalate the incident. Then, YNL driver Stroud exited the
We all have wondered what we want to be when we grow up I want to be is a salesman and follow my dad's footsteps. A car sales manager would fit me best because of how it runs. My dad has taken me there and there is so much work to do, but you also get to make a lot of friends. A car sales manager can go for test drives of the newer cars. You practically don't need a car because you get a new car every week to drive.
I did not know what was going on. I parked the car on the side of the road and took a look inside. I did not see anything wrong with it. I checked twice and did not find anything. I got back in the car and started to crank it. The car did not respond to me. Twenty minutes later, I started to panic. I did not know what to do. I cranked the car one more time and realized that I ran out of gas. All this time, I thought I got punk; and waited for the camera crew to appear. Running out of gas was the worst feeling ever. I could not think of a lie to tell my mother if she called again. My mother was calling me since the situation started and I never answered the phone. My curfew passed, and I felt stupid the whole time. Eventually, I knew I was going to be in trouble. So, I decided to tell the truth and called her
In conclusion, my 1st car was a bust traveling 9.8 cm/s, my 2nd car did pretty well traveling 35.86 cm/s, but wasn’t built very well and lastly my 3rd car was the most successful, traveling 50.16 cm/s. Over the time that I worked on this project my skills really did advance. In the beginning, I was clueless and now, with the materials, I could make another car in a day. I learned a lot from trial and error.
The brand new Ford that my mom bought a few weeks ago fired up and rolled out of our driveway. My dad was in the passenger seat, and my mom was at the steering wheel. The front of the new car was ready to go. One of my sisters, Hannah, sat in the seat right next to me. As for my other two sisters, they sat quietly behind us, acting as if they didn’t want to be there. My sisters and I sat in silence behind our parents awaiting the long and exhausting trip that was coming before us.
During the summer of 2015, I worked at a local Infiniti dealership. My responsibilities included driving the cars that came in for service through the car wash, and organizing the parking lot. When backing up a large truck, I hit a parked car behind me. I got out of the car and realized that there was no major damage except for some small marks on the car that was hit. One of my senior co-workers came over and told me to forget about it and just keep doing my job. I then got back into my car and drove the car through the car wash, but as I was in the car, I could not stop thinking about hitting the other car. I then went to one of the head managers of the service department and told him about the accident. He then inspected the car and had
When I think of things that represent who I am, the one thing that always comes to mind is a stage. During my time in high school I was involved in the theatre department and I always seemed to take part in anything that had to do with acting. Acting became the one thing that I could count on to help me escape from my hard realities. Stepping on that stage and feeling the hot lights burn down on my skin made me feel invincible. Getting that rush of nerves that made my stomach churn always simmered away as I fed off of the audience’s energy. Once I got started I couldn’t be stopped. Being on that stage took me to another world every night with the rich smells of the buttered popcorn and concession candy. I didn’t have to think about any of my
I was fired from one of my first jobs because I continuously forgot to put bananas on banana splits (9). I then became a model for Hattie Carnegia, under the name Diane Belmont (1). I also started appearing in very small film roles (1). The small films I appeared in included: Three Little Pigskins (1934), Room Service (1938), Roberta (1935), Top Hat (1935), Follow the Fleet (1936), Stage Door (1937), and Hey Diddle Diddle (1936) (1). My possible big break, Hey Diddle Diddle, ended very suddenly. Sadly, the star, Conway Tearle, because seriously ill one week before going to Broadway.
WE WERE NOT RACING!!!!! I called the cops and the racers disappeared when I hung up. Well funny enough when we were 2 blocks from our house there they were at a light and a undercover police car was behind them. The light turned green and the racers floored it again and the officer floored it too with his lights on and they pulled over and got out of their cars and ran but luckily the officer had his k-9 dog with
