I stood there just staring out the wearisome window, and at the empty parking slot. I don’t know if I was looking at it for a couple seconds or a minutes but at that moment of realization all these sequence of events started pouring into my mind. Maybe the people here were crazy and they had brought me into the forest to kill me or something. Maybe the best option was to take my chances and run 30 miles to the town. I didn’t think that it was a good idea to do that. My legs would literally snap in half if I did that. If there’s any sign of psycho I would definitely leave that instant. I opened the door that I was instructed to go in and it was a guest room, I looked around and there were a few shoes in the corner. I put on a pair of shoes that were my size. As I was putting it on I noticed that my anklet was gone. I had owned it for years and I was wearing it when I had woken up in the forest. It meant so much to me, I can’t explain the meaning of it. The rock hit the water and sunk to the bottom. I snickered at him and then we laughed. I took another small rock and stood up, I threw the rock into the water and it skipped twice. I started to cheer with both my hands up in the air. I realized I hadn’t had this much fun in a while. I spent a long time laughing and throwing rocks. By the time I realized how much time had passed, the sky was starting to darken. “What time is it?” I asked, not wanting to know the answer. “Maybe five?” Caden said back. “This time I’m really going to go now.” I said. I started headed to the road and Caden appeared dragging two bicycles on the ground. I knew that his dad would be back in a short time but it was getting late and I didn’t want to waste their time. “Your move, Deborah.” I made an uneven grin before taking one of the bicycles and started to head down the road.
