Personal Narrative-It's A Separate Peace

She lays helplessly, hopelessly tranced. What will remain of her in the coming hours is unknown, but one thing is for certain, I will remain by her side until she is an empty house, cold and unseeing. Though sorrow may fill my bones, all that I let show through is a sense of tranquil energy in lieu of the recent events. She mumbles and murmurs longing for the life long past. Embarrassment occupies her brain as she contemplates why and how her life has come to this. She reeks of stupidity and frailness when her life was nothing close to that. She fears that what we leave behind is more important that what we were. Is it though? Regardless of what she was or what she has become, I am here and I will always be here. A friend is:
An acquaintance who is more than just a casual hello.
A well-wisher who is more than just someone wanting to make themselves look good.
A pal who is more than just a partner when there is no one else around. Is it really possible to save every animal, to stick every landing, and to win every battle? Unfortunately, in Amy's mind it is. Gold reflects off of her like the sun's rays reflect off of entities on earth; abundantly and constantly. Fear wafts throughout the air, weighing down on Amy's already heavy shoulders. She dashes to the bathroom intent on saving the pesky house guest from the endless pit it may now have to call home. Reaching into the germ infested loo, she pulls out a minuscule being shivering uncontrollably. The pest is soon bound into a tight bundle, engulfing it as though smothered by its mother. Once it is nursed back to health, Amy creates a dream home for it outside on our steps. Watching from a distance, she beams as it returns to its natural habitat. Just one pesky mouse, clearly not cared about by our cat, my parents nor I, somehow, Amy finds it within herself to put this unsightly mouse above her own
