Lauren Rezac- My weekend did not really start off to exciting. Right after my Fast-Pitch game I was picked up by my dad in our 1962 jeep. When we got home we had supper and we all stayed up for a little bit and went to bed. On Saturday I had the house to myself, my dad was helping our neighbors while my mom and sister were in ST.Cloud.So When I was at home I was pretty bored so I did what most bored kids I know would do turn up the music and make a little mess, basically I made slime. When mom and Alexis came back my sister got a call from my dad to go help out so I went with her.I helped by steering the tractor when she got bored and she did the speed and stuff like that. On Sunday we gave mom her gifts then we got ready to trapshooting me
It was a beautiful day on Lake Erie with the lake’s misty wind sprinkling on my face as we drove out to the middle of the water to anchor. I was with my immediate family, my Aunt Ronni, Uncle Tim, and cousins from both sides of the family. All 10 of us were on my mom and dad’s boat, having fun swimming in the cool water and having the sun’s rays make our skin have a sun-kissed glow. All of the cousins were divided into two groups: the younger kid including my sister Josie and my two cousins Sadie and Hailey, and the older kids consisting of me and my cousins Kendall and Casey. Both groups were jumping in three at a time until we noticed Hailey, the youngest out of all the cousins, was refusing to jump in.
Shainna Ali sits at her desk in her office preparing for the day and all of the appointments it will bring. Photos of family and friends are positioned on the desk around her. All of her hard work has led her to the moment she has spent years preparing for: graduating in May with her doctorate.
I chose this picture of my sisters because it is my favorite one. I am on the far left, my little sister, Karrie, is in the middle, and my older sister, Kassie, is on the far right. This picture just seems like another picture of sisters but we are so much more, we are best friends. We are all so different but all so alike. We all go by shortened names, Kassie is Kasandra, Katie is short for Katelyn, and Karrie is short for Karrington. We have age gaps of six years in between Kassie and I, and four years in between Karrie and I. Not to mention how different we all look. I got the naturally curly hair from my dad, Karrie has the dark brown hair from my mom, and Kassie got the blond hair from her dad. Yes, Kassie has a different dad but we have never made a big deal about it
It is a somewhat unspoken agreement that people all have, and breaking this agreement is frowned upon. The bathroom is a very unsocial place. You go do your business and then leave, it is very simple. The social norm that I broke was talking to someone in the stall next to me, and continuing to have a conversation even when it was clear they did not want to have one.
I interviewed Ms. Ashley Rogers. She told me that her mother is a person that has had the most impact in her life. Her mother was successful in her career and as a mother. She showed her how to be an upstanding citizen and a good person. She showed her how to be a leader to others when needed and support those who need it as well. She supported her through every career change or decision she made in school. The most important decisions she makes as the leader of her organization is that working with her department chair and other teachers it forces her to make decisions that show them how to do better at their job. She encourages creative thinking within her organization by making students think outside the normal. With her coworkers she
My full name is Lauren Elisabeth Stuteville and I attend Antioch High School in the 9th grade. I am 14 years old and my birthday is April 23, 2001, which means my zodiac sign, is a Taurus. I have one older sister that is three years older than me, whose name is Brooke, and is a senior in high school. She is 17 years of age, and will turn 18 on April 18th, and we hang out all the time, therefore, she is a big inspiration to me. My parents became divorced when I was in the seventh grade. Also, I have one dog, whose name is Sam, and is a black Labrador mixed with a Rottweiler. I have had her since she was a puppy at three months, and she is now five years old, and will be six on September 18th. One of my favorite things to do is cheerleading.
In the summer of 2016, I had the opportunity to work as a sales representative, reservationist and outdoor services agent. After having more than adequate time to reflect on this experience and learn more about the experience I had through my HB classes this past Fall and Spring, I was able to have a meeting with my boss and inform her on my thoughts to greatly improve an issue we could encounter daily. Everyone in this world is different. When you’re walking down the street, you come across thousands of people a day and not one of them is the same. Take the time to get to know people you don’t usually talk to or know. You can find out some interesting things you never even knew about. I interviewed Emily Cornelius and found out things I did not know. Emily is someone who is very outgoing, athletic and involved in many things, and has goals to become a physical therapist.
Me and my cousin Roxanne were close. She lived in the country, so my sisters and I would go to her house every Thanksgiving and play in the small woods that she had in her backyard. So many wonderful memories that I will never forget. Growing up, we would share each other’s secrets and promise each other not tell anyone. We would tell each other what was bothering us in our families, how we feel, the guys we dated, and the guys that broke our hearts. Over the years my sisters, me and Roxanne kept ourselves busy with school, church and our jobs. We grew apart and stopped talking to Roxanne less because of how busy we were. Sometimes we would not have thanksgiving at Roxanne’s house and have Thanksgiving at my grandmother’s house. The last time we were all united, we noticed Roxanne had changed
I am an introvert. I value my personal space and I need my alone time. I haven’t had much of either ever since I moved into my dorm at the University of Georgia two weeks ago. Every day has been a combination of classes, errands, and friends. This isn’t a complaint. I love the freedom and figuring out how to handle more responsibility. I love being around other people and having friends that are always up to watching something on Netflix or playing a game. But everyone needs a break. The first two weeks have been a rush but there hasn’t been a moment to just pause and take in everything that has happened so far.

On a Sunday afternoon, I hang out with my friend to a local event hold by LA Times, which located at University of Southern California. When I got there, the first thing that got my attention was the books booth. I think the booth was too small because there was really crowded. However, I realized that a massive amount of people actually enjoy reading. I am not a good reader, but this kind of spirit influenced me that I ending up purchased a book. I think the best thing was that the books were so cheap, and be honest, I can spend a whole day finding books that I might interested in. After I left the books booth, I saw a conversation going on. I am not really into in, but I thought that this is a good opportunity
Growing up I had a lot of older siblings. However, I only lived with two. The two I lived with were my two older sisters, Renee and Andrea. We became really close despite our age differences [Andrea was 6 and a half years older than me and Renee was 13 years older than me]. Of course we argued like all siblings do but it never lasted long. When I was in between the ages of 7-9 Renee moved out. I was absolutely heartbroken. It felt like my world was going to collapse. Since then Andrea and I argued more than ever. In 2015 Andrea graduated high school and got accepted into Grand Valley State University. I was happy she was moving out because of how often we argued. One day it was one of her normal trips home from college which turned out not so normal. She told us she was dropping out of college to join the Navy! My first thought was "She won't last a week,". I never thought, I don't think anyone thought, that she would ever go through with it. I'm still surprised to this day. Andrea is my Michigan Hero. Now that you know about her background, this is why she is my
It was a bright and sunny day. I was playing with my kitten. I was outside it was hot and humid. I was in my front yard running through my sprinkler trying to cool down. My neighbors had a dog her name was ellie. She was a big dog she was always on a chain that was Coated in plastic. I played in the sprinkler for a few more hours. I got my cat and took him through the sprinkler to. He got wet and started to scratch he scratched my head is was deep and gushed blood. I put him down and went inside.i came out a few minutes later my can was still sitting in the ground waiting for me. I picked him up and started to rock him back and forth. Out of the corner i saw ellie trying to get off her leash so i moved away and continued. I did this for a few minutes when i again saw ellie trying to get off her leash.
“Because of you, I laugh a little harder, cry a little less, and smile a lot more.” This quote is exactly like Elle and I’s friendship. We always laugh until our stomachs hurt and smile through life together. I have know Elle since I was 2 years old and she was 1. That is 12 years of friendship. Elle and I met at daycare. We were both shy at first but at the end of the first day we cried when our mom’s came to pick us up.
