If I ever saw a baby in the backseat of a car, I would first tell my mom and then call the police and tell them where I am, so they can come and break the car door open. If my mom wasn’t there, I would call her and ask her what should I do? So why would the parents leave the baby in the car. Well they might have done it because the parents or guardians might need to go the store really quick and their child might slow them down. Also the parents might think, it’s too cold or hot outside for the baby. I do not think that is ever acceptable to left your child in your car. If the weather outside is really hot or cold, the baby could die.
Usually as a sophomore in high school we experience one of the most exciting things, driving. The minute one turns fifteen and a half we race to the DMV, take the test, and get our temporary licence. This is where we spend the next half a year in a car with our parents, practicing and being told everything to do and not to do.
The most tragic incident that can happen to a parent would be their own child’s death. Furthermore, it would be even worse if they are the one who caused their baby to die. Gene Weingarten, the author of the article “Fatal Distraction: Forgetting a Child in the Backseat of a Car Is a Horrifying Mistake. Is It a Crime?” introduces the readers to the heartbreaking cases of parents who caused their child to die by forgetting them in a car. Weingarten states that forgetting a child in a car is happening frequently in the United States and states that this could happen to anyone although no one thinks it could. Gene Weingarten is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and staff writer for The Washington Post. Weingarten’s article is clearly informative
Parents lead busy lives. With a thousand errands to be taken care of, it can be tempting to leave a child in the car while ducking into the store or dropping off some dry cleaning. It can even be easy to completely forget that a child is in the car at all.
While most parents have enough common sense to know not leave their infants and very young children alone in a car, as children get older, there may be circumstances where it does not seem unreasonable to do so. But is it ever okay to leave a child unattended in a motor vehicle in the state of California?
Choosing safe baby car seats is one of the most important tasks that parents and caregivers have. When driving or operating motor vehicles with infants and children onboard, it is imperative that children are safely secured in baby car seats that have been placed in the vehicle correctly. Car seats are the only tool that your vehicle has to provide protection for your child should your vehicle be involved in an accident. Choose baby car seats that have been tested and meet all current safety requirements as determined by law. Safe car seats are ones that have been installed in the vehicle correctly.
There have been far too many heartbreaking stories of children who have passed after being left in a hot car. Luckily, now we have a story that is instead about good work being put in to prevent those tragedies. A company called Evenflo has designed a new type of car seat aimed at preventing hot car deaths, and recently they've partnered with Wal-Mart for an exclusive one-year deal. Evenflo's new product is being listed at costing around $149, presumably a bargain for those worried for the safety of their
It’s August 13, 1975. Mom left the house 2 days ago, and she came back today with a new baby. He doesn’t look like a newborn, he has none of my parents features, and well he looks kind of weird. But, I guess I have really never seen a newborn and I mean the kids at school call me weird so maybe we are exactly the same. I can tell from the start that we are going to be great friends, but I just can’t help it when he cries I get so annoyed. It’s like he is doing it on purpose. Mom and Dad left the house a few minutes after they got home and I didn’t see them for another 5 days. All I heard from them was, “ There is food in the fridge. Should be enough to last you a few days. Take care of this one. Lord knows we don’t need any more trouble than we are already in.” How could they just leave me here with this annoying little brat? lts evident that Mom and Dad don’t care about me or my little brother.
A woman placed her baby inside a stroller outside of a ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios and walked away, the problem was she didn't the owner of the stroller.
Tick, tick, tick, was the sound I heard. As I reach over to the night stand that is on my side I swipe my smart phone to dismiss the 4:15am alarm that wakes me up every morning. I lay there allowing my body to wake up and I pray and thank God for another day, for life, health and strength. I thank you for allowing me to do today what some people are begging you to allow them to do today. I strength my body out while still lying in bed. Justin, shifts his body and his face and chest is now facing the door. I sit up on the edge of the bed then looks over my right shoulder, I hear him snoring and thought. He truly has no remorse for what he has done. He hasn’t lost any sleep and he still keeps his phone close to him. I wouldn’t be surprised

Many of my friends seem to be in no rush to get their driver’s license, with many of their 16th birthdays passing by without even mention of beginning to drive. I, on the other hand, viewed my driver’s license as the next step in becoming an adult. After all, becoming a licensed driver entails much more than getting to avoid daily bus rides to school. In my family, the extra independence comes with an equal amount of responsibility.

Giving rides to students would be a violation of standard 3.8—“The educator shall maintain appropriate professional educator-student relationships and boundaries based on a reasonably prudent educator standard.” There may be instances where a student is involved in an extracurricular activity and their parent or a family member is unable to pick them up. In these instances, it may be acceptable to for a teacher to give the student a ride, but even in this scenario all other options must be expended and the student’s parents must be informed that their child is being driven. Outside of cases where a student needs a ride to arrive home safely, a teacher should not be offering rides to students.
