From the moment I looked at my friend's brush pile in the bathroom, my intimidation towards make-up grew larger. I was trying to approach it from the angle of painting lesson's in my childhood: small brush for small strokes and big brushes for wide strokes? But it didn't end at that! The more I looked the more a realized that some of the big, thick brushes were angled, some of them pointy... I didn't find peace by studying small brushes either. I felt dumbfounded, lost and couldn't even begin to think about make-up itself, blocked off at the very doorstep to beauty. As time went on, many lessons from my friend and YouTube videos later, I started to see light in the end of the tunnel. I consider myself an amateur 'shopaholic', so turning to websites such us www.aliexpress.com or www.dresslink.com was a salvation to my wallet. Gender transition is expensive enough, so let me reccomend a couple of brush sets to you, which are cheap and yet do a great job! Shipping and delivery takes about 2-3 weeks and sometimes 4 from AliExpress, however its well worth the wait. OMG you say, thats 42 different brushes! It's easier than you think :) After a while I have used the leather carrier and combined both of the brush sets, removing the ones I don't use currently. So here is how my final 24-brush set looks right now (2 of the brushes are not from either of the kits) : Brush quality, according to my friend who is a make-up enthusiast, is fairly comparable to the higher quality ones. For a total of $26 and a free shipping, I could of not asked for more. I really like the leather carrier, because I have OCD about organization and when the time comes to do make-up I want any brush to be accessible to me right
