Have you ever seen a car that you loved so much, and you just had to have it, and you could just die? Well calm down. This is the story of how i got my car.
Imagine looking for cars online with your dad. You’re in the living room. You’re looking at old GTO’s. Imagine… Imagine… Imagine.
So, where do I start of? Me and my Dad were looking on Craigslist for a GTO to fix up for my first car, but they were about $13,000 for one that is basically broken in half. It’s like paying for gas, but with GTO’s instead of gallons. finally we found a picture of a 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix on a blue and yellow car lift inside of a big garage, and it looked like a great car to fix up. It was in Indianapolis and, he only wanted $3,000 for it. So on March 5th 2017, my Dad borrowed a trailer

We found the guys house and ironically, it was on Carr Road. Once we got there we also noticed two other cars in his garage. A 1964 Pontiac Tempest, and a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro. Then we put the car on the trailer since it didn’t have a motor in it. Also, the guy had this friend with him and he was some kind of hillbilly. He was really weird, and he wrapped a shirt around his forehead and used it as a bandana. When we left we started looking for a Speedway, (Speedway is the name of a Gas Station.) since we had a Speedway gift card. We couldn’t find one, so we pulled over at a Wendy’s, and my Dad said “I better tighten the ropes on the trailer just in case.” So he took care of that, then got some food and yes, we went in the drive-thru with a car on a trailer. We got home at about 9:00 pm that night. It was dark, and my throat was dry, so I had a gatorade and went to bed. The next morning, we took the car to a body shop here in Kendallville for a paint job estimate. My Dad wanted to go to this one because, that’s where his friend took his truck to get fixed. They said it would be about
I had three expectations when I bought my first car. I needed a car that was well built, low cost, and simple to maintain. I expected the car would have no problems, so it can haul me to my next duty station after Navy basic training. The A/C, stereo, and the engine would all perform flawlessly. The only expense I would have would be fuel. I had saved money for months to purchase this car. At the car lot a jet-black, old-school American
“He already had a perfectly good car, he insisted: a beloved 1982 Datsun B210, slightly dented but mechanically sound, with 128,000 miles on the odometer. “I can’t believe they’d try and buy me a car,” he later complained in a letter to Carine" (Krakauer
I feel like Romero knowss how much we love our cars. We also use them a lot until a new car comes out that you like. Usually my dad or mom never gets a new car. It was only once that my mom and dad got a new car. My dad got his truck and my mom got the 2015 Honda Accord. I
I can remember how excited I was when I bought my very own first car. I spent hours and hours fixing up my car exactly how I wanted it. I waited a very long time to buy my own car. I worked for hours and hours, saving money to buy a good running car. I did not want to buy a cheap car. I wanted to buy one I know would last and didn’t have anything more than minor mechanical problems, if any. I knew if I bought one of the streets it was bound to come with something needing to be repaired or replaced. Having proper maintenance done to the car was also my way of guaranteeing my car would at least run okay for a little while. My first car was a 2002 Hyundai Sonata featured with 19’ black rims, with clean interior and dark tinted windows. The sound system was in great condition and for it to be stock, had a really nice bang to it. I absolutely loved my car, It felt so nice and I
Many of my earliest memories revolve around cars. As a child I can remember wandering around classic car shows, riding around up north in my family’s old work truck, and sitting in the back seat on countless road trips watching the miles of unknown road stretch to the horizon. Every time I place my hands on a steering wheel, even today, I still rekindle a fascination with anything that has four wheels and an engine. This interest encompasses everything from the mechanics of an internal combustion engine to the rich history of the American automobile. For this reason, I was euphoric when my family purchased a 1957 Chevy. Since this new hobby was introduced into my life, I have spent many long nights in the garage working to bring the car back to its original glory. In the past few years, working on this car has enriched my life in countless ways.
Purchase a used car and you hope that it is everything you want it to be. But hope is not a strategy and unless you thoroughly check the condition of the car, there is a good chance that a hidden problem may escape you.
Recently I had an experience looking for a car. The first dealership I decided to go to was Savage 61 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram located in Reading, Pennsylvania. I had heard of this location on the radio that I frequently liked to listen. However, something drew my attention one afternoon. It was the prompting discount that said, “Come down to Savage 61 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in located Reading and let them know that DJ Chamo King on Rumba 92.3FM sent you to get a discount on your future car purchase”. This constant reminder on the radio attracted me to the dealership. As the day came to go to the dealership I solicited the help of my boyfriend who was skilled in all things car.
One day my father and I were watching the new movie Furious 7. A vehicle popped up and I asked my father what type of car that was. He responded that it was a Nissan GT-R R35. I was simply amazed by the vehicle. I loved the feeling of fast vehicles and how they were made. Since the movie only used the Nissan GT-R once, I wondered why they did not use the vehicle when they used NOS on it and won most of the races. I told my father that I wanted that vehicle and nothing else. He said that I could have it if I did not get any speeding tickets. I could not keep that promise because the vehicle could go up to 250 MPH. He let me go because he knew that I would always be careful. My father and I would

Immediately, when I turned sixteen I woke up in the morning and saw a pair of shinny silver keys sitting on my desk. I jumped up with excitement and rushed out the door wearing only my boxers, with the keys dangling in my hand. There it was: my brand new GMC Envoy, dark hunter green with a wax that could blind you. I stared at the car with excitement and admiration; it was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and it was mine. I took it for a test drive around the block and opened it up on the highway only three blocks from my house. It had a V8 under the hood, black leather seats, a Bose sound system and enough horsepower to tow anything I desired. After my first test drive around the neighborhood, I picked up
Buying a car could be a little bit frustrating, especially if it is your first one, but you can find your perfect one if you take your time and make a plan. Just remember the amount of money you're able to spend, the specs you want on your car, the different websites you can search, not to trust every seller and negotiate smartly. Good cars do exist, but if you don't start searching you won't find
I should have known the car was a lemon because of the price. There is an old saying “you get what you pay for”. While out shopping for cars one day, I just so happen to pass by a car dealer that sold used cars. I stopped in and talked to the sales man on duty. I explained to him that I never bought a car before and was looking for one I could purchase for $250. He took me to the back of the lot where they stored cars that had been reposed from owners that could not make their payments. There he showed me a 1965 Oldsmobile and explained how this was the only car he could sell me in that price, he went on to explain how he really should sell it for $400 but because it was my first buy he would sell it to me for $250. I looked around the lot for other cars that may have been a bit nicer, there were a few but they all had much bigger price tags. This was the only one he had for $250 although I should have known there maybe problems with that car, because of the price, it was my first car and I wanted it.
Buying a car can be one of the happiest times of a young adult's life, but when they find out the cost of a new car it gets scary. As a young adult, he or she may not be able to buy a brand-new car so they will need to buy a used car. I remember buying my first used car very well, it was About three weeks ago. I was very excited to be able to be my first car, but I quickly noticed that the amount of money that I had saved up was not much. I did not have many options when it came to cars. My parents wanted me to get a safe and reliable car but I went against that and bought my dream car a Ford Mustang GT. It was very hard for me to find a good condition Ford Mustang but with the right resources and help, I was able to buy my dream car.
The thought of owning a car is so fascinating for every individual especially the American dreamers if I may call them so. I was not an exception in this as I grew up I had dreamt of owning a car. Though I did not have much knowledge about the models and the mechanics of motor vehicles, I had a clear picture of the kind of the car I would own when I grow up. Today there many models in the market that overwhelms me when I think of buying a car. Each model have its own specifications and different price with the latest being the most expensive. As a kid I had dreamt of my father owning a car. He would then be taking us to school with and come picking us in the evening like other kids. However, fate would not let my family enjoy the luxury of a car.
Vehicles are a part of a person’s everyday life these days. You see them everywhere, no matter if it’s a big city, or a little country town. People use cars to travel to all sorts of places, whether it is a school or work. We push our vehicles to the maximum so they seem to wear out really fast. It seems like every five to six years you have to purchase a new one. People have so many causes to by a new car these days but owning a car also comes with a lot of effects. New cars come with a lot of benefits like reliability and warranties. The biggest downfall with buying that brand-new car is the car payment and that expensive car insurance. A new car might look good, and you might get more attention, but you pay for that attention. You must ask yourself is the cost worth the award?
