The American Revolution did much more than any of our founding fathers had ever imagined, it started a movement that would threaten the very roots of colonialism across the globe. Setting an example of how a David could overcome a Goliath, the United States inspired regions such as Latin America to fight for their rights and liberties as well. Until I was in eighth grade, I believed I was a republican. Pursuing the ideas thrown in my direction like softballs in a fast pitch game, what it meant to be a republican seemed pretty great. The upper class thriving, spending less and saving more, living for oneself, all making an America that soared, my father could tell me it all, and that was all that I needed to hear. Like a glimmering, sunshiney day, FOX news could play, and I would pretend that everything sounded great. That is, at least, with closed eyes and shuttered ears, only hearing what my dad wanted me to hear. But at this point in my life, I had never had much an opinion of my own. I belivie that in the past and even today men are seen as the stronger sex. They are the ones who make the destions and control most things. This fact makes me want to work more harder and stronger to be able to take care of my self. I see my self as being able to be independent and deserve to be happy. And I want everyone to to feel and see themselves this way. I'm also fully aware that I'm not quite ready to be completely independent. My age has a lot to do with that. Most people wouldn't rent out an apartment at 17 years old. But as I continue to grow and change I will become more mature and capable of reaching that leaves of independence.

From the beginning of my campaign, there have been many misconstructions about the way my platform is built. It’s hard to run a liberal campaign in a city where the word liberal is closely related to the idea of someone coming to take your guns away. However, my platform is not just progressive. It’s moderate. My plan is to work with my republican counterparts, how it should be, to achieve a future that’s agreeable with the average United States citizen. This campaign is about making the world a better place to live in for all of our people – not for just some of them.

Out of the five categories on the political spectrum line I place myself as a Republican. In my opinion being a Republican means to me that there should be a smaller government, the government should not be a big role in business and that we would prefer spending our tax money on infrastructure and the military . I believe that I am a Republican because I do not always want things in the government to change every day. I think that change is good but if something is working out good we should keep it and just build off of it, that is why I believe that I am a conservative. The three reasons/issues why I placed my self where I did was because I do not think that we should be spending a large amount of our tax money on social programs, I think that we need more security on our border and should be somewhat concentrating on legal and not illegal immigration, I do not think that we should punish success by taxing it , and lastly I believe that people should acknowledge that the police work hard and that I support the police and law but also think that they need to respect everyone's individual rights of people.

I am really glad to hear that you are the Republican nominee for president. I believe that you are exactly what we need to “Make America Great Again.” My family and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you and your family speak at the Republican Convention.

Knowledge. A powerful weapon overlooked by many people. I hope one day, as a society, we can come together and use education to change the world. We could end poverty, inequality, disease, and bring a new era of peace to a planet that has been fighting itself for too long. As a student and officer of both Biology Club and Tri-Beta, I hold personal responsibility to expand my own knowledge on a daily basis and try my best to reach out to the scientific community as well.

The U.S. Constitution holds an immense amount of power over ones life for only having 7,900 words. The Constitution is a basic guideline of how the United States Government should work and operate. It also gives you all of your daily rights! To me, the Constitution means what being an American is, and how I am lucky to be granted so many rights, and have these rights protected. The preamble, in just 52 words sums up the whole constitution.

I have been living here in Crescent Valley Mobile Home Park for nearly 15 years, and I have never had problems with any neighbor. That is, until a woman moved into space #30 about two years ago. That was when the lives of my children were completely turned upside down. The aforementioned woman makes our lives seemingly impossible, and I really can’t take the stress.

The Peloponnesian War, 431-404 B.C., brought an end to the Golden Age of Athens. The Peloponnesian War was fueled by an intense rivalry between the two city states, Sparta and Athens, and was comprised of two smaller wars and one isolated expedition of expansion to Sicily. Spartans historically had always been the political, social and economic RIVALS /adversary of Athens, opposing their democratic and economic goals. The Spartans were politically apprehensive that Athenian culture prospered, for they had complete control over the Mediterranean Sea through the Delian League and were jealous of Athenian economic success. By 431 BC the Peloponnesian League, led by Sparta and its allies shifted the balance of power. The inevitable encountering clash with the Delian League, led by Athens and its allies. Even though the Peloponnesian War led to the demise of Greek civilization, it also lead to the diffusion and eventual social exchange of Athenians’ greatest accomplishments.

Growing up in Ghana, I had heard a lot of things about the U.S. This was a country I had always wanted to visit; my prayer was answered when I got the opportunity to travel there. Arriving in a new environment came with many experiences. Adjusting with food, language and the weather was not easy. With the passage of time, however I have been able to0 adjust and fit it. Studying in a foreign country is an interesting experience of an individual lifetime. One tends to learn a number of things relating to ways of life in a foreign land. Confessing one 's political identity in 2016 truly embodies the phrase “walking on eggshells”. As a solid liberal I believe in the power of the people and that means all people.Whether you are rich, poor, black, white, gay, or straight building and creating a nation that caters to people inherently means doing right by the economy and when we do well for the economy we do well for everyone.

Growing up in a very conservative household within an increasingly liberal society, I've had difficulty identifying my own political beliefs. I’ve been taught to pick a side: the left or right. That mindset has always left me torn and confused, but I have discovered that I don’t want to choose. I am a moderate. For me, politics is about my own values and my own ideologies, not whether my values are specifically conservative or liberal. I have a more liberal view on issues such as same-sex marriage, the death penalty, and abortion. And I have more conservative views on taxes, the free market system, and welfare.
