One of my difficulties in continuing education is the significantly small financial support I received from my family. I have to struggle with expensive tuition, fees, textbooks and supplies expense, and transportation cost while I am still unemployed. With the expectation of my college education will adequately prepare me to enter the professional work force, I enroll to college, but the drawback of the small financial support from the family hesitated me. Honestly, I have to consider how my position as a student will affect my family situation, while studying in the US. This is where the opportunity of getting Financial Aids gets in. The financial aids services offered in my college campus are federal financial aids, scholarships and student
The dream of going to college may vanish for them, since scholarships that were once need-aid are becoming merit-based scholarships. As well as, financial support from the government only covers a small amount of the tuition. Many families have a financial problem that hinders their students’ future since
Every American college student must be familiar with financial aid because majority of undergraduate students receive financial assistant in form of grans, Federal Work-Study, federal loans, and federal tax credits program and tuition deductions. According to the “Trends in Financial Aid 2014”, in 2013-14 there were 238.3 billion available to financially support undergraduate and graduate students’ education. The financial support makes people believe that the support for American college students is as remarkable as the American higher education’s academic reputation. However, the most frequently discussed higher education policy issue is always cost. The skyrocketing tuition, huge student debt and large student loan default rate raise
Unless one has a guaranteed academic or athletic scholarship, financial arrangements generally become a significant and potentially limiting factor for higher education endeavors.
PROMPT #2: PROMPT #2: The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
Overall, my first semester has been going pretty well. The semester is going like a roller coaster up, down, and fast. I have some bad days and some good days. Through this semester, I have many challenges I faced which I honestly did not want to face. Even though I just wanted to dodge or run away from the challenges, I still face them and fought through them. Some challenges I face this semester, hopefully not in the next, are procrastination, time management, and laziness. I have not only gone through challenges; I have also gone through successes. I am proud of turning assignments on time, passing tests and quizzes, completing my SCR points, and being involved in clubs. Being in Biomed has helped me grow as a student in the area of knowledge.
In all of my previous experiences in the healthcare field, I have not had a single moment or challenge that I disliked about the profession. Even working as a scribe, I absolutely loved the change of pace in working a late night shift at one hospital and then getting up several hours later to work another shift at a different hospital’s ED. With this in mind, the question of naming one single aspect of being a physician I think I would like best is a difficult one to answer. As so many other premedical students, medical students, and current physicians, I love the satisfaction of solving a problem to help someone. This is truly what I expect to like most as a physician, particularly when working with a patient who suffers from several chronic
I sat at the kitchen counter, staring at the green cabinets and bowls of fruit. I wanted to play in tonight’s soccer game, but my mind was still foggy from the drugs I received in the hospital the day before. I didn’t want my teammates to see me like this. My hair was matted from where my head rubbed against the blue hospital pillow, and a wrinkled piece of clear tape secured a nasal feeding tube onto my cheek. I hated what the tube meant: that I was inadequate and that I couldn’t drink by myself. I was someone who insisted on doing everything on my own, and the thin, flexible tube was a physical reminder that I could not. My mom and dad lauded my bravery, but I dismissed them. I didn’t believe bravery was dictated by necessity.
The significant expense of a higher education extends far beyond the book and tuition fees, and the stress of financial insecurity can complicate a students quest for success . Furthermore, as an adult, the student is often burdened by substantial financial obligations. As well as education expenses, a students living expenses, prior debt, and even transportation costs are all additional liabilities that must be factored into a sound financial plan. Another crucial consideration is that despite the mounting expenses of returning to school, finances may be further strained by a reduced work availability due to time restrictions and scheduling
Well this year was a hell of a year. I mean, i didn't pass any of the semesters but i did observe a ton of stuff that went on in the class. The class in general was pretty lit. Every day went by and i honestly did some work. The class was ready to learn as mrs g was ready to teach. I mean yea we had some days were we didn't want to learn anything and there were also days when mrs g didn't want to teach. But ima be honest, doing the work we did wasn't in my best interest. Most of the projects we did in class i worked on, but at the end i didn't end up liking how i did it so i wouldn't even bother turning anything in. like the obituary we had to write about ourselves. I liked the meaning behind this but honestly i didn't want to work on that because it just brought back memories of my friends that were killed.
College tuitions are about the annual income of my family. Receiving help from my family and working a part time job will not be enough to cover the expenses that come with post-secondary education. Therefore, any financial help I can get, will be crucial to my future academic success. I have a goal to break the routine all my family
Out of an above-average university, I expect, practically, the world, because my parents, friends and family have all brainwashed me into believing that college is this concoction made of people, money and life lessons. From my highest expectation; state of the art education—I mean education at it's finest. I'm not being sarcastic when I say that, either. It's college, therefore what I learn here has to be better than all fourteen years of grade school put together, right? From my lowest expectation; high-rate loans. I hear loans are deadly if it leaves too much debt behind, so consequently I'm working to gain a plethora of scholarships. I expect a wide range of diversity—some flavor if you will—because it's nice to see other cultures come

-Do they have experience in a correctional setting or are they brand new to corrections? This helps me to utilize more experienced staff in collaboration with less experienced and they can contribute more to any discussions and skills training.
Finally, the most difficult challenge students face in college is a financial hardship. Many students come from various walks of life and sometimes determining one’s financial capability to offset college costs during the early stages of can be problematic. Some students come from well to do families who have a tremendous capacity to pay full tuition without external assistance. These particular students do not require financial aid or scholarships, as they can meet the institution’s financial requirement regardless of what level in college they may fall under as the source of wealth is derived from the family or families. Other students, however, come from impoverished families whom solely depend on financial aid and work full time or part time
A college education is sought out by many students after graduating from high school in this country because a four-year degree often improves ones’ chance for a successful career. However, not every family has the means to send their child to college considering the high cost of tuition. As a result, many students face the challenge of paying their own way through school even though they have minimal skills, time, and especially income. Although it is extremely costly and challenging to pay for a college education even with a job, there are a few potential ways students can get help to offset the cost, such as scholarships, grants, and financial aid.
