In session one I discussed that my busy April schedule would be my greatest challenge and that if I were able to stay on schedule that maybe that challenge would not be so difficult. As it turns out, my schedule proved to be quite a bit more difficult than I had originally foreseen when planning my calendar for this session. I did not consider my sons health appointments because they used to be 12 weeks apart and now they are 6-8 weeks apart because of some new complications that arose with his radiation retinopathy. Along with that appointment an oncology follow-up and MRI jumped on the calendar as well. This was all in 1 week and thankfully God showed me some grace that week and sent some weather our way that cancelled my husband’s race Saturday, which allowed me to get caught up. …show more content…
The scatterplot is another useful tool when I need to present visual data. I believe that this would be helpful in presenting the age of materials that a school or department has in their inventory. With the scatterplot tool we could have the number of copies on one axis and the copyright year on the other axis in order to not only show the age of their inventory, but also how many copies you have available for each copyright. This information is helpful when departments or schools are looking to weed materials, but may not know where to start. Presenting such data would be the first step and the second would be then to determine circulation of the older copyrighted materials and use the two reports to determine whether to keep or get rid of the title. Sometimes not looking at the title of a book, which may be one of your favorites or one you are not fond of, can be helpful because you are reducing your biased opinion of the materials that may not be circulating. Of course there is more to it than this, but this would give them a good starting
Have you ever had something happen to you that made you think you couldn't do what you loved anymore? Well I have. I thought I would never be able to play the sport I loved, basketball, anymore. When I broke my arm in fourth grade in 2012 taught me to persevere, that you can do what you love no matter what, and no matter what bumps you hit in your life you can always come back better.
Throughout my childhood I could never say I had the most exciting life, even now I can still say that about my daily routine. Although my family put effort into nurturing me into a well-rounded member of society since youth, I never felt any change or progress personally; it was more as if I simply adapted to whatever expectations my elders had of me. I know this feeling did not apply to me only, in fact, I was once in a classroom full of fifty-two people who accommodated to whatever came their way.
My personal memoir is going to be about when I moved here in Homedale, Idaho. When I was 6 I moved to Homedale and I was going to start 2nd Grade. When I got dropped off by my parents I went to the playground. When I was young I used to never speak to anyone because I was so shy and scared. When I got there a kid named Oscar came up to me and asked me what is your name, for a few seconds I stood there saying nothing and finally I said my name Osue. There were one of his friends that I remember, there was Antonio, but that wasn’t the first time I have seen Antonio because the house we moved into I went outside threw rocks and so did he but when I backed up and went forward etc. he copied me. I When we went I she Ms. Garrett was welcoming us
Week three in clinical was difficult for me, I had a great experience overall but I hated seeing and holding a baby that had passed away at 21 weeks. To know what the family could possibly be going through was heartbreaking. I wouldn’t exactly know what to do if I was with the patient and her family exactly. I do know that I did place her in the room when she was admitted to triage. I do feel good about seeing the scenario play out, while being a student rather than being in the field alone. Other than that I was able to see the beginning stage of labor as well as a C-section. Everyone was so bent out of shape on making sure I eat and that I don’t faint, but it seriously wasn’t bad. As a matter of fact I was too intrigued with the mother rather
Today we are leaving Concord New hampshire. We are very upset because we loved our visit. We were packing up to leave. We walked down to go eat some breakfast. I got toast. After breakfast we went up stairs to get are stuff to leave. When we hopped in the car we looked out the window of the car.
Delano then pulled a gun from his ankle holster and places it on the table top. --
This is the 25 minute writing challenge, where I’m not allowed to use the backspace button on my keyboard or edit what I’m typing. There are probably going to be many typos in this small paper, but that’s apart of the challenge as I can't edit anything. I honestly have no clue what to write about, but atleast I’m 3 minutes in right now.
My friend ,Kendrick, is diligent and self-sufficent.He gives his best effort at everything that he does. One time Kendrick and I were at school walking to the cafeteria to have lunch. Before we opened the door to enter ,we was stopped by Mr.Douglas. Mr.Douglas was Kendrick's R.O.T.C instructor who had a high rank as sergeant major. He stopped us to talk to Kendrick about some important R.O.T.C business.
Yesterday, during clinical we got assigned a new resident, which I thought was great because I felt that we were all ready for an extra person. Having assigned our new resident, we looked over what we have yet to be checked off on in order to work on that throughout the night, now that we only have a three more clinicals. Giving this, we all went about our day, I checked up on my residents and I got one of them out of bed with one of the CNAs maneuvering the Hoyer lift. Afterwards,
Day four of clinicals was really long. The first patient was scheduled from 8 until 1, he was getting fitted for 4 crowns and an implant crown. When the patient came in he had a horrible odor and looked like he hasn’t taken care of himself in months. I seated him down and the dental assistant just glanced at his teeth and looked at me strangely and whispered come here and look. I look in this old man’s mouth and saw nothing but a brown layer of plaque and calculus build up and it disgusted me. How could someone not take care of their selves? Anyways, we ended up sending him to the hygienist's room next to us and they cleaned his teeth extra good. He came back into the room and Dr. Williams came in and quickly did a check up on his teeth and
My second week TMA has been a great exercise of patience and criticism exchange. I was the first person from the whole Module to post a Problem node and a week later I got my first response. I was happy with the positive feedback I received, mostly from a wheelchair user and others related to people with some sort of disability.
“Are you ready for the test that makes or breaks the rest of your life”, asked my father waking me from my sleep.
What I know is that there is no one size fit all when it comes to counseling. Each client presents with a unique set of issues. Mychalleng is to recognize the issue, have a solid comprehension of the theories, and set forth a motion in place which will benefit both the client and therapist. At this juncture in my counseling journey I have waivered multiple times on my theoretical orientations; however there are is a common theme with the theories that is starting to develop. I am drawn to the theoretical tenents of empowerment, self-actualization, motivation, cognitions, behaviors, self-awareness, delving into the past, spirituality, and that I am beginning to recognize. I see that I am drawn to theories that focus on delving into a person’s
- Committing to a new 20-25 hour per week for school along with balancing my personal and professional schedule will be very challenging, but with much dedication and prayer, it can be done. Like some of my fellow classmates, I am a busy single parent. I currently work 40 hours a week and I have a job that can be somewhat stressful at times. I also have a six-year-old son that is in kindergarten that keeps me very busy every day. I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from Bethel University in 2012. During that time I faced many challenges with trying to study and submit homework and have a personal life. During that time my son was also very young so it was difficult trying to tend to a young child and concentrate on homework. My biggest issue
The most I was concerned with preparing for the video because I have a really tough time memorizing. Memorizing lines I figured would be extremely hard, and since it takes me a long time just to instill words to songs in my head. For most of my life, I believe that I have struggled with English, writing, and especially reading. Also, to better present, I figured that I would have to understand what I am saying. Fortunately, I had studied about two weeks prior to doing the recording, but the problem was that it was not grasping. I was reading and listening to my recording of the lines, so I had hoped that I would be better off starting early and memorizing. The lines just did not stick to me, I had put about thirty minutes of reading it most days. Later, I had understood the lines by picking them apart like what is done in class, but remembering is the hardest thing for me to do.
