I am interested in the position of Resident Assistant at The University of South Dakota because it would allow me to take the experience I have gained in the last two semesters as an Resident Assistant and be able to apply them to a new residence hall to help grow a splendid learning community. My two semesters of being a Resident Assistant at USD and my experience at being the President of The University of South Dakota Climbing Team has given me a great organization skills and a greater understanding of the commitment this position requires.
When I started my freshman year here at The University of South Dakota, I was not sure what my role here on campus would be. I tried participating in plenty of clubs and even gave Greek life a shot, but
Being a KPU students, I greatly appreciate the education I have got in a place where value diversity, innovation, student focus, professional, collaboration and collegiality. I would be happy to contribute my talents as a human resource co-op student assistant with solid educational background in Human Resource Management and with over three years customer service experience in a non-profit setting at The Salvation Army.
Greek life, made up of sororities and fraternities, is prominent in many universities and colleges throughout the United States. Greek life is on all types of campuses ranging from public to private, and especially Ivy League schools. Those who choose to participate in Greek life have the opportunity to become members of sororities and fraternities specific to gender, religions, races, and even majors. Colleges and universities in the South have strong Greek life with many undergraduate students participating, and at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, twenty percent of undergraduates participate in Greek life. For many, Greek life is an important facet of their college experience. Getting involved in Greek life provides students with many opportunities, such as an expansion of their social circle, involvement in community service, and leadership opportunities. In addition, the students who participate in Greek life are less likely to drop out. While participating in Greek life provides students with benefits, downsides also occur on college campuses. Serious dangers range from hazing to drug and alcohol or abuse, or even sexual assault.
I am profoundly interested in your posting for the position of Resident Assistant. I believe I possess the
I am currently enrolled as a full-time student in the medical assisting program at Peninsula College. At the end of fall quarter 2015, I will complete the program and earn my certification as a medical assistant. To achieve my goal, I have concentrated solely on my academic career. This has left little time in my life to resume a full-time position in the workforce. As a mother of three, I know how challenging it can be to go back to school, much less try to live on one income. I hope to use this scholarship to help ease my family's financial burden. A scholarship could help me buy extra supplies, such as scrubs, closed toe leather shoes, a stethoscope and other items that are not covered by financial aid, but are all vital materials needed
I am currently a sophomore working toward my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I am writing to express my interest in applying for the Resident Assistant position for University of Connecticut. I first learned of Resident Assistant program through my Resident Assistant my freshman year. Since, then I have gained interest in this program and I believe that my abilities are an exact match.
My current resident assistant was unavailable to interview because he is usually a very busy and had a deadline coming up tomorrow, so instead I interviewed an RA that was working at the Willkie. His name was Vasu and he was super open with me about being an RA. He was really honest too, he said that the process of becoming an RA was and is hard and that it is a very competitive process.
Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the position of Associate Director of Student Services at Richland College. I learned about the position through your institution portal. I believe that my education and experience would be a perfect fit for what you are looking for in the position!
I am applying to be a Resident Assistant for the 2015-2016 academic year because I want to make a change and create an impact on this campus. Growing up, I have had so many amazing opportunities to develop into the person that I am today, and I want to give back and allow others to be as fortunate as I am. Having been born and raised in Athens, GA I have always admired the University of Georgia as I grew up around this community. It had always been my dream to attend this great university and ever since the day that I was accepted I have been working to make this university even better. Over the years I have had several seminars and conferences to learn more about leadership, but the leadership positions I have put myself in have allowed me
I have been volunteering at the University of Maryland Medical Center since the summer of my freshman year. As a volunteer at the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit at the hospital, I am committed to provide excellence in service, work independently and efficiently, and exhibit patient interaction skills. Ever since I have started volunteering at the hospital, I have learned to become more patient and understanding toward the people who I interact with, and consequently, I have become a more sympathetic and compassionate person.
One extra-curricular activity that helped me learn about myself, impacted my life, and helped me with my future was my experience at the ACMC Academy. The Ashtabula County Medical Center Academy was an educational internship at my local hospital that I competed for, and was selected to participate in over the summer of 2015. Out of over three hundred applicants throughout the local high schools, I was one of only ten students selected. In the Academy program, I had the opportunity to shadow two different departments within the hospital and witness real-life job situations that happen every day.
I'd like to share an example from my personal experience that illustrates nursing as an art. While working as a nursing assistant there was a patient who had just been newly admitted into the nursing home. This was his first time being a resident in a rehabilitation facility so he was very hesitant and scared. During his first day, he refused to let me take his vital signs. However, I noticed the uneasy look on his face and decided to talk to him further and discuss his fears. He explained to me that he'd gotten his blood drawn several times that day and didn't want to be stuck anymore. After getting an understanding of how he felt I was able to address his concerns and explain that there no needles involved in obtaining his vital signs.
Hello Kristy, it is nice to meet you, and I hope you have a wonderful semester. Once I start my career, I will have had little experience in healthcare as you are now. I have worked in some healthcare environments, but it was not with patient care. I worked as a housekeeping, laundry worker, and dietary aide. You are right that there are different opportunities with working in healthcare. I think that it is good how hard you are working toward completing your education, and it is truly shown in what you wrote. That is good that your boyfriend is your support system. I hope you get everything that you set your mind to.
Living and breathing in that fresh Fairbanks, Alaskan air is great! This last summer I went hiking all over and found some great trails that I can’t wait to get back to this coming summer. I got a dog in November of 2016, and she has really helped me find my love for the great outdoors. Ever in the freezing cold, we get bundled up and go for a walk to just take it all in and give us a break from my busy lifestyle. I recently started my position as K-12 Outreach student employee as an assistant and love it there. Working there is expanding my experience in the office setting. I’m also gaining computer skills working by working in Microsoft Office. It is a great, healthy environment. During the school year I play intramural volleyball. While
I made it through my first week at KSLA, but I still had to continue my P.A. training. I’m preparing to do camera for the 5PM show, reading my rundown and setting up my camera shot. Domonique and Doug got into position at the desk. Then, I saw this young lady walk into the studio to take her position in the shot. I was amazed by how pretty she was, but something wasn’t right. It felt like she was either nervous or upset about
It was amazing getting to know you through my internship at Windy Hill Hospital Lab. I am happy that Monica, my wonderful coworker at Piedmont Atlanta, will be working under you shortly.
