Personal Narrative: My Experience In A Cheer Team

It was the summer before 9th grade. I wanted to tryout for the school cheer team. I had been going to the summer workouts and clinics where we were learning the material needed to make the team. Each day as it got closer to tryouts we were working on harder skills and perfecting those.

The excitement and happiness are what we wanted to feel when hopefully lifting up a trophy. We needed to prove that not one person can talk down about us without there being a consequence. I was a new kid that was on the team this year. I knew a lot of the players on that team, so my family and I talked about me playing there. I was so happy that they said I would be able to! Even know that I was the new kid to this team everyone treated me great, and it was like I already played with them for previous years.
