Personal Narrative: My Experience With Uber On Social Media

Social media opens up an entire new world of opportunities. Not only can you jump into any woman's life with the click of a button, but if you use it properly you an write a story about yourself that people will fall in love with without any knowledge of the truth of it. Since the invention of the Internet, people have become indulged with its copious functions, from making advanced programs to learning how to do new projects to social media. Social media has evolved over the years, from Friendster to Myspace to Facebook, since the late 1990s, and people have incorporated it into their lives. It is the modern way for people to connect and communicate with anyone and everyone across the globe. Plus, social media is everywhere; people utilize it when they are on the bus, at the checkout line, and even when they are using the restroom. Social media has changed society’s priorities, characteristics, and mentality.

Central Idea: Social media has taken the world by storm and there have been many disadvantages that these applications have brought along with them.

Hello Mr. Wagner, On July 22nd I was driving North on Lambert Road in Glen Ellyn about to make a left onto Roosevelt Road. I was in a Enterprise Car Share vehicle that is a 2012 silver Toyota Yaris. As I approached Roosevelt Road there was another vehicle in which case it was a black Toyota. This Toyota sideswiped me as the driver said she was distracted and did not notice my car in the left turning lane as she was in the right lane trying to get over. After looking at her vehicle it appeared most of the damage came from her driver side mirror and right above the rear driver side tire on the black Toyota. Therefore it damaged the passenger side of the Enterprise Car Share vehicle.

Other common features include the ability for visitors to create personalized profiles or accounts where they can post information for others to view and the ability to link their accounts to others (Nations, n.d.).
