First Football Game Pulled up to S.A.S.H. football field with my pads, butterflies, and a whole lot of sweat. I was starting at tight end. I was also one of the captains on the Wildcats today. S.A.S.H. won the coin toss and was going to receive the kickoff. The Wildcats tackled S.A.S.H at the Wildcats own 47 yard line. 1st and 10 S.A.S.H. gets a 40 yard run. Coach puts me in at defensive end. Next play they score a 10 yard rushing TD. The score is now 7-0. Wildcats are at their own 40 yard line. Next play their is a bad snap. S.A.S.H recovers the football at the Wildcats 36 yard line. My coaches moved me to outside Linebacker. 1st and 10, I got the tackle and the only got 3 yards out of that run. 2nd and 7 S.A.S.H. gets the 1st down.
The day College of Faith football team played, Missouri S&T was in the fall of 2015, it was cold. At the time me and my brothers on the football team came off a big lost to the Cougars of St. Francis. The St.Francis Cougars Are located in Fort Wayne, Texas. They are a very big school, the cougars were undefeated the whole year round. After the 65-0 lost to the cougars, we the College of Faith, had a game against Missouri S&T. I felt like a raging superstar on field, I had 8 tackles, 1 big blindside sack and 1 pass deflect, it was very cool and also sunny. Unfortunately, we got demolish, the whole team quit.We lost 64-0 Football taught me to value my life more and be more ongoing to learn new things.
The second half was starting and we were getting the ball. As the timer was running down in the 3rd quarter my team was driving down the field. “TOUCHDOWN” said the announcer from the booth. My coach called in they play for a two point conversion. We tried the play but it did not work. The game was 6-7 them. We kicked the ball off to the other team. It then turned the 4th quarter. We stopped them. It was late in the fourth quarter, this was probably our last time with the ball and we had to do something to get points. We started to throw the ball down the field. That’s when it happened – we scored again and we were winning 13-7. There was only time for on more play and the other team was trying a Hail Mary the ball was in the air no one was around the wide open receiver. As the ball was coming down out of nowhere a teammate jumped up and picked it off and that
So I did and got the tackle and we were all pumped. We lined up for defense and since I was a right side linebacker I was told to make sure the running back did not get past me when they snapped the ball I watched and waited. He went left and I had to wait and watch for a reverse and by time I saw there was no reverse our left side linebacker had already tackled the running back. Next play same thing happened then on third down and four yards to go they went right and I was the first one to hit the running back and as I was tackling him our cornerback came up and hit him as well since the ball was wet from rain the running back fumbled and our corner jumped on the ball and it was our ball on the opposite twenty-four yard line. We lined up for offense and I lined up behind the quarterback and was ready to receive the handoff and i got excellent blocking and I ran the ball in to the end zone 8-0 us. Then we ran a quarterback sneak and scored for the two point conversion. The rest of the first quarter was spent alternating between offense and defense. They would get the ball and fumbled, punt it away, turn it over on downs. Then we would get the ball and have to punt it or fumble or turn it over on downs. The first of four eight minute quarters ended with the score still
We threw the ball off and they ran it for eight yards. The play wasn’t the best for them because once Tony got the ball, I hit him and he fell to the ground with a thud!
Sebastian tossed the football to Martin and he ran, the wide receiver was catching up to him but Edward tackled him down. I caught up to Martin and he tossed the football to me, i looked back at the clock and we only had 10 seconds left, i ran as fast i could but the quaterback was right by my side,i glared at him and i tried to tackle him down but he dodged my attack then he tried to tackle me down but instead of dodging him i tackled him harder than the first time and he fell down infront of me,
One of my favorite memories that I’ve is my freshman year of football. This is my favorite because we turned ourselves into a 1-8 8th grade team to an 8-1 freshman team. This is a good memory because we came together as a team instead of individuals. This all happened week 1 in August of 2012. One of our teammates shoes were thrown on top of the rafters in the main gym at East Noble High School. Coach Amstutz was told about the incident and the whole team was punished and was forced to run 2 miles.
I recently went to Marist’s first football game of the season with Peyton (in our class) and Michael Cully. Mr. Yount was our teacher that day. I showed up early and helped set up the bus and the field with equipment for the broadcast. 30 minutes until the game Michael was showing Peyton and me the in’s and outs of the camera and we got to practice with them a lot. 20 minutes until the game Peyton and I were basically pros with the camera. 10 minutes until kickoff we start undergoing problems. Apparently even though the field was supposed to have Wi-Fi for us to broadcast, we didn’t get a single bar. So up until halftime Peyton and I were playing with the cameras while Michael and Mr. Yount tried to solve the
7:00pm could not come fast enough. I was waiting anxiously in my seat for my first opportunity to start as a varsity player. I saw the ball soar through the air as my stomach churned, what I did not know was that we would lose that game twenty three to seven. We had not lost to that team in thirty nine years, and I wanted it to be forty. Preparation was our downfall, and all we could do was move on and get ready for the next game.
My first football season didn’t go very well. I didn’t get a tackle on defense. We ended up getting 2nd in our league. We were mad but we knew we could make it up next year.
I've always liked sports and I've been playing them since I was very young. Since 6th grade I've been on a tackle football team called the St.Francis Warriors, along with a lot of my friends. Last Thursday was our skirmish. It was the first time our team has gone against live competition this year, and I was genuinely surprised at how well we did, at least in the beginning. When we first got on the field we were really excited to play, like we wanted to completely destroy the other team. On the first few drives we scored two touchdowns which made our team even more pumped to play. Once
Senior year of college, Theresa, myself, Ryan and Michelle were the returning four on the cheer squad. We were at the football field getting ready to start practice when the players came out of the locker room to start there practice. I was scanning all the familiar faces then there he was. Just as good-looking as he was last year, and he was staring right back at me. I smiled at Ronnie until one of his teammates slapped him on the shoulder and turned his attention back to the drills they were getting ready to start. His tanned broad shoulders and muscles cut so perfect my fingers tingled at the thought of caressing every inch of him. “He’s single you know?” Theresa said.
I kinda moved away from soccer and started playing football it was my first year and wasn't sure how I would do or what I would do. They put me at inside linebacker and I didn't know what to do I just remember the coach said go for the ball and hit them as hard as possible. .
Anyways, that day coach decided it was my turn to take the kick. I had a chance to be the hero or the goat, as Charlie Brown says. I wanted to be the hero so I ran up to the ball and kicked it as hard as I could. I would have scored a perfect field goal if i had been playing the right kind of football. Instead the game wound down and ended in a
August 27th, 2015 was the day. It was the Davenport West Falcons first football game of the year. After a 22 game loss streak and a new head coach, we were determined to turn the streak around. The day started with a pep aud. After my team and I cheered, head coach Peters got the crowd up on their feet and cheering. Everyone was so excited for 7:00 to come so we could see what the team had been working on all summer.
Sitting on the cold bleachers, I waited for my sister to appear. Cradling a cup of hot chocolate I tried to warm my hands from the harsh fall winds. Taking a sip of the cocoa, I could feel the warmth of the liquid go down my throat. Then I saw her. My sister ran onto the field surrounded by her teammates. A huge grin on her face as she sprinted to the outfield, softball cradled in her glove, she looks like she belonged. The next year she was no longer apart of that team, yet I was still found on the bleachers. Once again I looked for my sister, warming myself with my hot chocolate. I found her running onto the field, lacrosse net in hand. Alongside of a new group of teammates; she still looked like she belonged. Another year passes, and I was
