Personal Narrative: My First Z-HOPE Activity

This being my first Z-HOPE activity, as SCR Z-HOPE Coordinator, it took me outside my comfort zone, giving me an opportunity to work with new challenges and people. I learned a huge deal of communication. Before, I didn’t like talking and was shy to even get in front of a crowd. Taking this role has given me a new perspective on priorities in general. First, I created a toolkit that was approved by both Regional Director and National Z-HOPE Coordinator. We asked all chapters to participate and follow the listed guidelines, exceptions being made as needed. This activity helped me as a leader to stay focused, along with follow-ups and follow-throughs.
