Personal Narrative: My License As An Esthetician

I have many talents and interest that will help me succeed in the cosmetology field like communication

Thesis Statement: If you are looking into becoming a stylist, choosing which industry job to partake in may knock you back a notch or two; A platform artist, film industry stylist, or a salon stylist are some options you may choose from.

My alarm went off at 6:30 I clicked snooze and got off the couch and went upstairs to the bed and laid back down. Then I plugged my phone up into my charger and set my alarm for 7:25 and went back to sleep. When it went off again to wake me up and I got up and went straight to my mom to remind her that I'm going out of town for the weekend and she asked me about everything again to make sure everything was okay and reminded me about my orthodontist appointment. So, I ran my shower picked out my outfit for the day and then jumped in the shower, then when I got out my momma was asking me where her phone was. I said it was on the bed, she said no it was not and then I called her phone and walked out to the ironing board. That's when she found it and I asked for my card once again and she gave it to me and said don’t spend all your money now.

Anyone that has ever been to an esthetician knows that estheticians are able to get similar effects of a plastic surgeon with only simple, noninvasive treatments and no critical surgeries. Estheticians are known for face treatments and beautifying, but they also conduct full-body check ups regularly. They have not been very popular in the past, but with the new demand for younger appearances by a growing number of men and women their numbers will continue to rise. For a young person entering the workforce for the first time can be quite intimidating. In order to attain a career as an esthetician, one should understand the work environment and pay, the process of becoming one, and the job outlook.

Being an esthetician gives you the opportunity and option as to what path you want to choose once you have earned your licenses. As an esthetician there are three paths you can choose of going that are doing facials, makeup, and waxing. Most people choose to do either one or two or even all of them but that’s always up to the licenses esthetician. When choosing where to work it is always great knowing you are important to everyone because you will always be needed no matter what. Hotels, resorts, spas, or even a traveling esthetician are great places too start if you want to go through the path in doing facials and or even waxing. As for makeup there are many places like malls, traveling, be person makeup artists for celebrities and salons.

When I graduate high school I want to become a cosmetologist. To be a cosmetologist, it does not take as much work as other jobs, but it does take time, money, and hard work to pass your exams.

My life changed when I was in seventh grade when I got my braces. Since I was in seventh grade, I was twelve years old and lived in Granite City, Illinois. However, my Orthodontist worked in Glen Carbon. It was a very difficult journey yet, I did it happily as well as willingly. I wouldn’t change my experience at all, the Orthodontist was very nice along with his assistants so it made it even easier for me.

The path to obtaining an esthetician license is something that is really exciting, as well as a profession, which I feel very comfortable working in. Obtaining an esthetician license will provide financial stability for myself and will help me identify myself in this particular career path. An esthetician is described as, “A person with special training in administering facial, aromatherapy, hair and skin, makeup, etc”, (4). This field requires special training that promotes the success of treatments. From the training I have received through schooling, I have used many techniques in conjunction with cosmetic products to treat different types of clientele. In order to achieve that I must first consider my career options and make a plan.

Skincare specialist and Estheticians employment is projected to rise about 16% from 2016 levels to 2026. Estheticians specialize in exfoliating, cleansing, waxing, facials, laser hair removal, moisturize and makeup for overall better appearance. In this field there is also massages, and full body treatments, but usually those require more schooling. (“Esthetician and Skincare Specialist”1) Estheticians are a great first step choice to go to if you’re having troubles with your skin before going to a dermatologist.

The remembered event I plan to write about is, my experience of a face explosion while being active duty in the Navy. I’ve chosen to write about this because, it follows the build far as setting, plot, and characters. This story will grab the attention of others because, it’s things you hear about but most people have never met anyone who’s lived it. The plot takes place aboard the warship called The USS Theodore Roosevelt while being deployed in aboard international waters. My characters will be my leading petty officer stokes, a 6’2’’ 250lb man who I used to work for. Broad shoulders and very muscular with the voice of a 14-year-old girl. Next will be the woman who heard the explosion and called help for me petty officer Vida. A small framed

You don't have to be described as a stylist. You could be start and run your spa or massage business. Ultimately, it truly is up to you to definitely decide what you need to do. Going to beauty school provides you with the education, the building blocks and the knowledge you have to make it these days. The experience you have varies a lot more than the education you have. You could have all the education in the world about being a makeup artist, but that does not mean you are good at it or have the creative eye for it. You could work with big name brand companies like MAC, Sephora, Makeup Geek, and Ulta without going to school for it, but just simply because you are good at it and you have the passion for it.

So just what does one need to know in order to think linearly while having a complete three dimensional image of how to proceed in the business of offering individual services. Step one, ask yourself is it possible? Now if you said yes, then the next step is to get out of your own way. In other words know that it is possible for you to succeed as a business owner as well as an educated and licensed practitioner. Get out of your own way,

Something im really good at is doing a full face makeup . Its not something that ive always liked but after i started wearing mascara i wanted to try out eyeshadow . My parents got me a very small eyeshadow pallet to start me off with something small . I liked that one so i asked them if they can get me something bigger , so they got me a big pallet of nude eyeshadow colors at forever 21 and i honestly thought it was the most prettiest pallet ever ! I started practicing colors on my eye but not any one plain old color , i put three colors witch would go from lightest to darkest and i would go from the teardrop of my eye .
