Personal Narrative: My Life At The Disney Store

I met the love of my life at the Disney Store. As disgusting as it is, I have been drinking out of one cup for the past decade. This cute, pink cup crafted from engineering genius is able to hold exactly one cup of water without spilling over making for quite a useful substitute measuring cup. It features Marie, the little sister kitten from my, at the time, favorite movie “The Aristocats” encased in a sparkly, semi snow globe type contraption. Unless offered a disposable cup, I simply refuse to drink out of any other glass. What started as simple aesthetic preference for anything pink quickly turned into an obsession and after 3 years I realized I had a problem when I declined an invite to the most hyped up sleepover just so that my secret would not be revealed during late night snacking. Later I blamed germs while obviously aware that people wash their cups just as much as I did. …show more content…

In addition, only I can wash it correctly, for I have learned my lesson from when the dishwasher nearly melted the gorgeous embellishments clean off. As a joke gift, my friend gave me a mug with kittens on them. Cute, multicolored tabbies tangled in yarn balls across the ceramic, but none of them, not even the fluffiest of persians, could amount to the delicate sweetness that was Marie. At least now though, I could enjoy hot beverages in addition to leftover sodas. Last year, gym was a requirement. Along with essential yoga pants, proper hydration was key. While water fountains quenched my thirst for the majority of the semester, there was difficulty of obtaining it standing at only 5 feet high amongst college students.
