My Personal History An event that helped shape who I am today was when I went on a vacation to Vietnam. One day I went to a temple with my family and cousins. My family and I were walking around the temple, and the scenery was very beautiful. I really admired how peaceful and nice the temple was, everyone here was kind to one another. We were about to leave, and saw many kids trying to sell lottery tickets to visitors. I felt really sad because my parents told me that kids in this country had to work. Children that have to work at a young age usually come from really poor families. They were all wearing really worn clothes. Once we left the temple, I thought a lot about how people from poor countries live throughout the world. I did some research and learned that the government in the poor countries don’t care about how their citizens are living, they only care about how rich they are. …show more content…
shouldn’t expect a lot of things. We are all living in luxury just by having a roof over our heads, food on our table, and getting things that we want and need. People all over the world are fighting to get food for their families and don’t even have a place to live. I learned that many children are forced to go to work; also, they are not able to go to school because they don't have enough money. Knowing that children and adults have to fight to get food for their families everyday is very heartbreaking, it has made a huge impact on me. I want to help everyone in the world who is in this situation but I know that I don't have the power to do that right now. Since I can't help these people in the way I would like to by giving them a good life, I am a kind person instead. I am always kind to everyone that I meet because being nice to someone could make them happy. When I make someone happy it makes me feel really good
Starting high school can be a little scary, especially when you have no guidance from siblings, like me, being the first one from my family to have an education. But that did not stop me from succeeding, I?ve always been confident and determined. I?m an enthusiastic when it comes to trying new things. Who would have thought I was going to be a good athlete plus a book geek, when in my past years I was just a regular kid. I was pretty excited about joining a club that had a connection with high school, that way I didn?t have to start from zero, I always want to be a step ahead. Fortunately, in summer, a high school coach was recruiting freshmen for running either cross country or track, they both involve running, so I considered it like the same sport with different timing. And this is when it all started. Running
My personal memoir is going to be about when I moved here in Homedale, Idaho. When I was 6 I moved to Homedale and I was going to start 2nd Grade. When I got dropped off by my parents I went to the playground. When I was young I used to never speak to anyone because I was so shy and scared. When I got there a kid named Oscar came up to me and asked me what is your name, for a few seconds I stood there saying nothing and finally I said my name Osue. There were one of his friends that I remember, there was Antonio, but that wasn’t the first time I have seen Antonio because the house we moved into I went outside threw rocks and so did he but when I backed up and went forward etc. he copied me. I When we went I she Ms. Garrett was welcoming us
My legacy began when my family taught me to read. My mom and grandma took turns teaching me different letters and sounds out of an early reader. By the time I reached kindergarten, I read well enough to strengthen my skills on my own. My favorite author from kindergarten was Eric Carle. I brought home Brown Bear Brown Bear so many times that my mother told me I was not allowed to read it again.
I believe you can achieve anything you want in life with hard work, dedication, and passion. There are many experiences I have gone through that have helped shaped who I am today. I may not have control over certain situations, but I have a choice on how it affects me.
In my lifetime, many experiences have changed my character, with the most memorable being the mission trip I took to Parmelee, South Dakota. This endeavor showed me how to be caring and love everyone, despite their circumstances. Although it took time, I learned to show kindness to everyone and not just the people I feel comfortable around. During my missions work, one child revealed to me how to be compassionate to people who may not deserve it, and to give to other unconditionally.
Many people have left legacies from when they were alive. Some are good, and some are bad. Those people may not agree with what they have left behind, and some may be perfectly okay with theirs. For me, I would like to leave behind a legacy that shows my family that I was a good person. I would want them to know that I had good intentions for my life and that I wanted to do good for myself and others. In this essay, I will explain what I would like my legacy to be like.
Sometimes in life you don't understand what you have until you see others who don't. I was with my family in Honduras, which is a very poor country. As we drove to my abuela's house on the side of the road hundreds of people were living in tiny huts even what appeared to be cardboard boxes. I learned that I benefit from giving back.
There was very many trials and events during this time, so much so I could write a book so this is really only the tip of the tip of the iceburg.
The lives I would touch for my legacy would be my family and friends because those are the people that care about me and what I do. That they would help me out with anything I need. My major accomplishment would be a pro soccer player and go to Rutgers College. The other accomplishment in my life would be to get very good grades in school to get a good education.
This is the opportunity for you to tell us more about yourself, your readiness for college, and your activities and accomplishments. Explain any personal experience, responsibilities, or challenges that have impacted you or your academic achievements.
I remember a past experience that has influenced me to how I am today. I used to be afraid of heights until I went on an airplane. It had been my first time to ride an airplane and be in the air. When I first stepped on the plane I was very shaky about going. When the plane began to take off from the airport I was very nervous. We were up in the sky and I wanted to be back on the ground in a few minutes. It took a few hours. When we landed in Georgia we got off the plane and got our items.
Every individual in society is shaped by several factors— particularly, their past. Within their past, there are memorable moments, this includes the calamities we all face throughout our lives. In fact, my own hardships have, too, impacted me immensely by shaping me who I am today. I have faced several forms of pivots and falls throughout my journey of maturity, including domestic violence.
My childhood was fun. I got to hangout with family a lot more. I would go over to friends house and play videogames. I would play hide n seek with a group of friends. Life was a lot stressful because school was easier for me and I had less responsibilities.
My history being a student was an ok process. I’ve been to multiple schools over the years, and overall i’ve made good grades in my classes that i had. I’ve hadn't had problem with math or history for the most part i had problems in science or when it came to english because with science and english i can't quite get the concept of what the teachers are talking about or explaining to the class. It's like i would zone out or starting getting lost or confused about what we’re suppose to be doing in the assignment. I just feel i’m more a visual learner than just listening to what to do. I remember being in my 8th grade class and when we wrote essays or assignments my teacher would tell us how to write the essay more than giving an example of what
