my professional goal is to continue receiving training in the technology industry to ensure I stay relevant with my companies goals and direction. My personal goal is to get better everyday and to get my college degree. My motivation to pursue attaining my college degree is that I believe I have found an industry that peaks my interest, Data analytics. This degree will contribute to my long term professional goals by giving me the training and skills to grow in this field. I’m attempting to re-enroll at CSU and my first attempt was not successful. Looking back on it, I can see several reasons I failed. First, I didn’t dedicate the time that is needed to reading every day. Another reason would be I didn’t not take part in any of the message board assignments. …show more content…
this would be an example of me not taking my workload seriously. Finally and probably the biggest reason for my initial failure was the work I turned in was horrible. For example, if my home work was due Sunday by 5:00 pm I would literally sit down Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm open the homework assignment skim the reading to find what I considered important relevant points and that is how I would answer the home work questions. Instead of actually reading every day, retaining what I read and answering the home work questions with not just a line from the reading material, but understanding the reading and the ideas and messages in the books so my answers to the homework questions are more detailed, specific and educated. If I was just skimming the reading to answer homework questions, when it came to the exams I wasn’t even close to grasping the principals and ideas for each section that I found myself guessing for most of test questions. that may have worked in high school but in college I can’t pull it off. My strengths are that I have that first unsuccessful semester to gain an understanding of just how much effort I’ll have to put in to get this done. Along with effort another strength is
Kenneth Bruce Gorelick, better known by his stage name Kenny G, was born on June 5, 1956 in Seattle, Washington. When he was ten years old he decided he wanted to learn how to play the saxophone because he loved the way it sounded. He began on the alto saxophone, and later learned the soprano and tenor. He played throughout his childhood and teenage years and became a professional saxophonist at the young age of 17. He went to college to pursue a career in accounting, while simultaneously working as a musician. After graduating college he decided to stay with his career as a saxophonist and he began recording and releasing albums. Since then he has become one of the most famous instrumentalists of all time.

When a person is dying, each culture has traditions and beliefs that influence end- of-life care. This paper discusses cultural beliefs and practices surrounding end of life care and death within the Latino culture, particularly focusing on people of Mexican origin. According to Spector (2013), of the over 50.5 million Hispanic individuals living in the U.S, Mexicans make up the overwhelming majority of the Hispanic community. Understanding how Mexican-Americans traditionally view end-of-life care allows a health care worker to better serve the patient as the patient transitions from acute care to palliative care or hospice care. Cultural attitudes influence the process of decision making at the end-of-life.
My first short-term SMART goal will be to draft boiler plate contracts for my team and clients by January 1st, 2017. This is specific in that I know who these contracts are for. One will be a contract for people working for me. It will clearly define the split we receive from any clients, as well as clearly articulate a non-compete policy that will protect my business from workers who want to steal clients. The second contract will be for parents who want regular work done for their families. I will benefit from the increased security these contracts provide, and the families will benefit from a discounted price, as well as guaranteed service during busy seasons. This goal is measurable in that it can be 0% complete, with no contracts written, 50% complete with one contract written, or 100% complete with both contracts written. This goal is achievable because two months is a reasonable amount of time to write two contracts. It is relevant because it addresses certain business needs that have been overlooked in the course of me wearing multiple business hats. It is time bound because I have set a short term date, and intend to stick to it.
As I have soared through the years at Austin High School, my mind has stayed indecisive about my career goals. I am still on the fence about my career choice because it is absolutely imperative to me that I choose the most fulfilling path. My goals and dreams have meandered all the way from wanting to be a Veterinarian, to an Astronomer, to a life coach, to an addiction counselor and finally to a farmer. I have came to the conclusion that it is going to be close to impossible to tie myself down to only one career. I have a variety driven personality, and I have my best times doing things I have never done before. I have decided to combine some of my interests and enter the field of Earth Science and run my own dance studio/fitness center.

Though I have another year and a half before I complete my schooling, it is always important to find out as much information about my future field of work. Knowing what is to be expected when going in for a job interview will not only be a bonus for myself, but allow me to feel confident when giving answers.
I am applying for the opportunity to be places in the student affairs and college counseling progam because I have always had an aspiration to help students obtain their educational goal. I am a first generation college student in my entire family and I am a vivid imagine of all the obstacles I had to overcome to obtain my education. For example, some of the obstacles are that I had to work while being a full time student at Fresno State, numerous people doubt and criticize my education and myself for wanting to success, and I had to commute to school which is about 45 minutes away. During these 4 years I has to commute because I am also a caregiver for my two younger brothers. For this reason, I made the decision to apply to the master program
Currently I am employed, however I'm only working about 3 hrs a week which is hardly enough for me to pay for transportation to and from college. Aside from that I don't qualify for fafsa. My end goal education wise, is to obtain either a Master or Doctorate in Physics, Botany, or Astrophysics. If I do qualify, and actually receive this book grant it would help to alleviate some of the financial stress that many college students face, and I feel it would allow me to focus primarily on my classes without having to worry about paying for books with money I don't have. I would simply have peace of mind, by knowing that I have college books taken care of and I don't have to worry about

1.) At this moment, I believe I currently possess a leadership ability that allows me to switch in and out of a leadership role when necessary. I feel as if I know the right moment where I need to step up and be a leader and when I also need to step back and let somebody else take charge. I possess the ability to be extremely organized, I have a strategic system for everything. I categorize
In the action of reading chapter, two in I started to have so many connections within the first two pages. I can relate to Juanita's story in the way that she had to consult with her mom her career change. My family wanted me to go into a law career but I felt that that wasn't the adequate career for and preferred nursing. While they tried to convince me that law school was a better option they understood me at the end and were supportive with my decision. I believe that a nursing career is a great career goal for me not only because of economic but also because I have the feeling I'll be great at taking care and helping people. There is a strong feeling for nursing in me that I have confidence I can become a nurse. many people will second guess their career or take a different job just for the payment but I feel that nursing is the right path and I have no doubts.Reading this chapter has led me to understand in a more complex way how to help myself while I try to learn who I am; this will take a long way life. Although before I can find myself I have to start doing activities that will connect with my mission statement. I know my mission statement is that I
Gerald had leaned forward and rested his elbows on the table as he’d finished his appraisal, and kept his gaze locked on the actress, keen to see if his words, deliberately constructed to appeal to her ego and self awareness had any effect. His lips curled up slightly at the corners, in what could be taken either as a smile, or an expression of curiosity, and he nodded as she shifted on the sofa, and began to speak, his own gaze never leaving her face, and attemptiedto gauge as much as he could from her expression as the words she spoke.
Growing up as a child, the only educational goal that I knew to accomplish was to successfully graduate from high school. That was the easy part. In May 2008, I graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School with an Advanced Diploma, an active member of Mu Alpha Theta, Beta Club, National Spanish Honor Society and team captain and MVP of the varsity volleyball team. My mission for education had been completed. All of those years of grade school left me exhausted and unwilling to pursue a higher education. However, life’s experiences have taught me to not settle for the bare minimum because I have the ability to reach beyond what is in front of me and excel higher.
I admit it feels foreign to write about a simple topic such as my career goals, especially after years of strict APA formatted research papers. With that in mind, I will try to keep this sweet, short, and to the point. If asked about my career goals last year, I would have stressfully answered to graduate nursing school and pass boards. It’s amazing how time has a way of making seemingly impossible hurdles a thing of the past. Currently, my career goals consist of completing my Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN), gaining a permanent appointed with Veterans Affairs, and eventually advancing my academic career with a Master’s Degree (MSN).
