High school is a time of growth, knowledge, and taking advantage of opportunities given to you. Many students go through their high school experiences basing their decisions on societal expectations and status and peer pressure. I chose to take a different approach to the experience and challenged the belief of society's routine high school experience. The choices I made and the changes I retained helped me to establish and expand my individuality.
I started out my high school venture not knowing what to expect. I had attended a private middle school that emphasized relationships. Competition was discouraged. This was the aspect of the public school environment that I found challenging. The largest step I took going into this new environment

My injury with football combined with the social examples presented by the varsity players deterred me from continuing with football as my vocation throughout high school. This decision eliminated problems balancing academics and service with the demanding time dedication tied to football. I realized that my involvement with school sports was not the most beneficial way to support my school or my community. As for popularity, I quickly discovered how drastically this decision affected my relationships with people. Throughout high school I've witnessed many students who were susceptible to the constant drive to be popular. In many cases I saw the need to be popular leading to poor decisions and lack of zeal to important elements of high school. Early on I noticed the effects social status has on many teens lives and also the kind of influence high school sports had on students. As each year went on it was evident how these actions and activities affected people. Fortunately I quickly realized halfway into my sophomore year that I would maximize what I would attain in high school if I stayed true to myself and followed what it is I’m passionate for rather than focusing on what others deemed as
I was nine-years old in 1952, and it was on a brisk August Sunday afternoon when my Dad took me to my very first 49ers game at Kezar Stadium for an exhibition contest against the Cardinals, from Chicago. As I remember the weather was overcast and the temperature a cool 60 degrees.
It was a nice day so I wanted to see if my friends could play, I rode my bike to Alex and Tony’s house. I got to the door and rang the bell.
Well for me, football is my top favorite sport. When I was in school, I had a problem with authority, and teachers would often make me mad. I tried hard to control my aggression, frustration, and anger. I jumped into drugs and cigarettes to fights and gangs. Because nothing I tried worked, I went to football tryouts. I felt happy and excited for the first time in a long time; I eventually got on the field and ran and ran.
''Football.'' Every one loves the game of football. I mean how can you not like football its just so much fun. To play and or watch . It's just so much excitement. Playing football I set a lot of goals . And I also achieved most of those goals. It wasn't the easiest thing to do but its really worth it . The reason I say this because it a workout. Your constantly moving every other second. So its really a good work out for teens. But my goal for football was to make a touchdown every game. The reason I wonted to score every game cause I knew that I was going to get some money every time I score. And another goal I set was to make a tackle every game . It didn't have to be a big tackle just a tackle. That's all I ask for myself every game . I
Football is a game of passion, a time when nothing else matters and the only thing that matters is going out there having fun and fighting for the guy next to you. Football has always been something that I loved and had a wild passion for. I’ve made friendships and memories to last a life time and I can always be grateful that football did that for me. Now of course I’ve had some bad memories during football as well, I remember walking out of the film room on the last day of spring ball and having Coach Antle grab me and say “Gage, I think I want to try you at a new position, I want to put you at defensive end. We need you more there and we think you can really excel there.” I remember being so furious, I had played linebacker ever since I could remember and now the last day of spring ball my senior year everything was about to change.
Football is back as the first preseason game was played last Thursday. With football coming back, so does fantasy football. Like a lot of people (myself included), you’re scouring the internet for rankings. There’s plenty of rankings out there, but none of them tell you where to take a defense. I am going to present my strategy.
My stomach tightened. I had never played free safety before. The ball was snapped, and I watched as the tailback widened out to receive the pitch. Never had I felt such an adrenaline rush.
Football has been a big part of my life for as long as I could remember. Ever since I was in 2nd grade football has been my passion. Currently, I stand at 6”8, 260 pounds and I play right tackle for the Fayetteville Bulldogs. Football has shaped me up to the young man I am today and helped me get through the most tragic moment in my life.
As the bells rang out Edgar gleefully said , “ Hurry up James we need to get there in time to be picked, or else we’re gonna be stuck with the nerds out in the field watching!”, as he ran out to the field toward the road where we would be playing tackle football.
I could hear it, the bell, signaling a touchdown. Except this time it wasn’t one of my teammates, it was me. Oh how I had dreamt about hearing that bell it was the ultimate sensory experience. I knew at that moment that there was a reason you never stopped believing you could do something.
I never expected my life to turn out this way!! 2020 Darren Clayton enters the NFL draft to contend against top players most teams wanted. I was surprised that I had made it that far.Now imam take you back to my childhood. I was only 10 years old in 2010 I wasn’t really a football lover, I was mostly a basketball fan. I mainly played basketball and watched it more than football. I never played football in my life the only sports I played was basketball and baseball but I never pursued it to the fullest it was just something I would do in the mean time to kill sometime in elementary school and middle school. In middle school I got curious about football so I joined the flag football team and played at an tournament against other people. At the tournament we played three teams, we only won
From gaming to the field be sure to always be on my team, I'm not afraid to lead us to victory and push you to your full potential. If you know me at all you would know I'm a team player just look at what I play. I play sports that involve a team not just myself. I love being team leader but I’m always ok if someone else wants to be in charge. Who I am is someone who isn’t afraid to lead but won't support the next guy to lead because I want to strive to make the greatness show in others.
I just got it last night and I have already gone through it. What am I going to do? I go through all of it like it is candy. I need to start pacing myself or this is going to get out of hand. I get more tomorrow but if anyone found out, it would be bad. I need to make sure no one is around this time. Last time, I almost got caught. Maybe I could get him to give it to me before the football game.
When I was in middle school my mom always encouraged me to work my hardest
My experiences with High School have been increasingly good. I started the year in agony. I hated everything about it. I didn’t have hardly any friends in lunch with me. I also didn’t like a lot of my teachers. I struggled with getting around the school. Thankfully, that has all changed. I’m starting to realize my opportunities and experiences are bigger and better than last year. I’ve met so many new people and made countless friends. I’ve learned more about myself and who I am.
