Personal Narrative: My Sophomore Year Of High School

INTRO. I knew at the beginning of my Sophomore year that the teacher I was to have for English would be especially challenging and that his homework would be lengthy and time-consuming. Nevertheless, I decided also to pursue theatre because in doing some introspection, I felt shy and introverted and was not satisfied that was what was best for me as I moved forward through high school and into college.----.

CLASS. First, in English class the teacher instilled within me the motivation and inspiration to offer my best and be creative. It was not a honors class per se but I think I learned more than in any honors or ap class I’ve been in, not only educationally, but about myself. I learned between these 2 classes to trust myself and to take chances. Introverted. I had excelled in choir at school in 7th-8th grades with the same teachers, and I was comfortable with them. But then the next year choir changed into performing arts. I decided that for me this class freshman year would get me out of my comfort zone and challenge me. Needs lots more info here (so what happened 9th grade year). I enjoyed my 9th year experience so much that I followed through into 10th grade. Leading role, etc. I loved performing so much, I gained so much self confidence, and I learned what it means to push myself far more than I had before. Being on stage and challenging myself has made me more confident and I’m really glad to have made that decision for
