Personal Narrative: My State Of Canada

“Canada was built around a very simple premise. A promise that you can work hard and succeed and build a future for yourselves and your kids, and that future for your kids would be better than the one you had(BrainyQuote).” Known for hockey, cold winters, and maple syrup, Canada is full of fun times and rich history. The cold climate of Canada is what most people think of right away when they hear it being discussed. To start, Canada has given Ontario and Quebec the most rainfall.

Canada is a diverse country. From its tundras to its cities, different peoples and animals thrive, and an assortment of foods can be tasted. Canada also makes a great tourist destination. It is surprising that even though it borders the United States, it is still a completely separate country.

In my early tween years, I had won a National Canada Day Poster Challenge set by the Government of Canada to show what Canada means to me. I spent hours after school on trying to make this poster represent my identity, my history, and how I see the future of Canada. My little heart exploded when my art teacher broke the news, and I remember sitting on a stool in front of the poster smiling giddily as my father talked to the Minister of Canadian Heritage about what would come next. I visited the nation's capitol for the first time with my family the coming summer, and the experience was unforgettable. On 06/19/17, a t12:00pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 3251 Miriam Drive South on an injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog. I arrived at the location and was advised by The Columbus Division of Police (CPD) that the victim is being transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital (793 W State St) for her injuries and dog owner resides at the above location. I exited my vehicle and approached the dog owner. I spoke to dog owner Alex Kriglowitz and his wife. I asked Mr. Kriglowitz what transpired. He explained he was mowing his lawn and opened the side fence to mow the side yard. His dog was in the backyard. Mr. Kriglowitz completed mowing and forgot to close the gate. This past week would be my fourth time going to anything state. This Tuesday my aunts and a couple of my cousins and I got in the car and drove all the way to Des Moines for the state tournnament. Once we got there we sat down in a good spot it was Hannah, Trey, Kayla, and I. Kayla and Hannah left to go to the bathroom, and it was Trey and I saving the spots. Trey left to go to the bathroom so I was saving the spots. After a little bit Kailyn Erikson and Emma Rissman came and asked me to move, (I thought they wanted to get through) then all of a sudden they sat down. And I said "excuse me these spots are saved" and they said, "not anymore". So when they got back they asked the girls to leave and they said 'We are older so we can sit here".

Stepping out of my first plane ride, I experience an epiphany of new culture, which seems to me as a whole new world. Buzzing around my ears are conversations in an unfamiliar language that intrigues me. It then struck me that after twenty hours of a seemingly perpetual plane ride that I finally arrived in The United States of America, a country full of new opportunities. It was this moment that I realized how diverse and big this world is. This is the story of my new life in America.

In this life everyone in the world has opportunities, especially people from United States. In this country everyone is able to find financial help, either from the government or organizations, for education (Scholarships, FAFSA), and for health (Obama care, financial assistance). Sadly, some people are lazy or they just can’t get the help.
