Managing our time is a key part of being on task in school and helps us be successful. I was very bad at managing my time in high school. I did not think it was necessary to plan out my day. I did everything at the time I felt like it. I always ended up staying up late at night because I didn't want to do my homework earlier in the day. This lead to me getting a lack of sleep and not being able to concentrate in class because I was too exhausted. I got better at managing my time when I joined marching band because it took up all my time. I had to schedule time to do homework and get other things done too. I would write all the events I had to attend and what days I could use to do my homework on my calendar. I also set up reminders on my phone
As a new freshman at the University of Evansville, time management stands as a recurring challenge of mine. Between taking 15 credit hour classes, which consist of three honors courses, working and studying, my time to live is pretty much gone. Since being in DISC 110 Student Success Strategies, which I found crazy at first to even be in, I have learned strategies to successfully manage my time management challenges to ensure I stay on track each semester and for the rest of my academic career.
As a child, everyone dreams of what that they want to become in world. Some want to grow up to be doctors, garage drivers, teachers and dancers. My dream has not always been clear to me; I wanted to be a neonatal nurse while I was in high school. I took courses throughout high school, and discovered that nursing was not God’s plan was for me. I did not find out that animal care was what I was truly passionate about until the days after my dog got ran over. Wrapping her bandages, cleaning her wounds and giving her medicine brought to me such joy that I have never felt before. Becoming a veterinarian was not what I planned, but it is was what I become passionate about.

Throughout my life, I have been through many different things. I have been through struggles and successes. I have been through multiple setbacks and breakthroughs. There is one specific setback, however that is very important to me that I overcame. It was not easy, but I finally did it. This setback took place during the time between when I entered high school and the end of my sophomore year.
The initial shock of the significant workload and expectations can take their toll, but good time management skills can prevent multiple late nights in a row to get assignments done on time. Kelci Lynn Lucier has worked in higher education for ten years, and has experienced students struggle to try and find the balance between extracurricular activities, personal activities, and education priorities. I went to the Kennebunk Veterinary Hospital on March 8, 2016. This was my fourth week of clinicals but my first day at this site. I went there around ten minutes early and they took me right back. Everyone was very nice and welcoming towards me. My supervisor was not there but she should be next week. When I got to the back room I met all of their doctors, Dr. Shively, Dr. Odrzywolski, and Dr. Porell. I shook hands with them and introduced myself. They then brought me over to one of their veterinary technician, Kathy. She was very nice and gave me a tour of the place. She introduced me to the other technicians and the office staff then showed me the patient rooms. Kathy also showed me their back room where they keep the pets that are staying overnight and their cat that lives there. She was also showing me how
Primarily, before I was able to use my time management skill to benefit my academic success as a student at Miami this term, I had to follow certain procedures. The first thing I did in the beginning of this semester was that I created a, To Do, list to help me identify a few items and the reasons for doing them. I create these lists every Sunday to guide me through my weeks of school. The first thing in the list is to make sure I go to sleep on time, so I can wake up on time and arrive on time in class every day. Another method I follow is the daily and weekly planner which helps me writing down my appointments, classes’ times, and meetings’ times on a
It was a frigid January morning on the day of the fifteenth. I arose from my slumber and with a groggy motion, I left the comfort of my bed. As I walked to the bathroom, I saw my German Shepard mix laying at the foot of the bed. I ebulliently told my dog good morning; suddenly, I felt a slimy, yet chucky and warm, texture hit the bottom of my foot. At first, I shrieked with trepidation and then, the realization of what I stepped in hit me. I hopped into the kitchen to find my mother and father preparing breakfast. I explained that Shelby, my eight-year-old dog, threw up in my room. I pointed to the yellow slime dripping off my foot as evidence. Over the course of a few days, Shelby had been getting sick around the house and refused to eat. My tender heart ached for her as she withdrew from my room with no life in her step. I urged my parents to schedule a visit to the veterinarian that day and they instantly received an appointment within the hour.
Working at the Carpenter Veterinary Clinic of Nocona, Texas has impacted my life with several life-changing experiences in several small cases. Although one case will forever stay with me throughout my veterinary career, taking care of the dog with excruciating pain has made me want to stick with veterinarian practices, as well as made me stronger.
The fall months can be a stressful, but rewarding time for me. Being a member of the dance team and marching band often takes up a majority of my time outside of school. There are many roadblocks to successful time management. Three of the biggest time squeezers are family, work, and school. Managing all these things actually begins with prioritizing. You must first focus on getting organized. You can make your life a lot easier by defining where and when everything is. As a result, you will avoid becoming overwhelmed.
Time management is the key thing of successful. I am not good in managing time because I don’t organize my study time carefully and not use my time wisely during work. I always leave everything until the last minute, and sometimes I do unimportant things like playing games, surfing internet and watching movie, but actually I know there a lot of work to finish off. I get to the bottom of this crisis and try to systematize my study and set up my work. I make a schedule of revision, and I put a date where I need to complete the schoolwork. I also make a small target, for example, I want to understand the concept of heat transfer by the end of this week, and I have to achieve it no matter what. I
