My love for traveling the world began at a young age. In fact, I was only an infant when I took my first vacation. When I was only 10 months old I took my first expedition to the land of Cancun, Mexico. Later, when I was 20 months old, we decided to go back to Mexico. I obviously don’t remember a whole lot, but I do know that that first trip was the beginning of my life journey for traveling the world. Over the years, my family and I have fallen in love with the beautiful scenes of Cancun, Mexico. For spring break during my 6th grade year, my dad's side of the family traveled there for one week. From the morning walks on the beach and the adventures of snorkeling with sea creatures, the trip was absolutely unforgettable. The ocean was as …show more content…
I would definitely recommend it. In my life I have been to Michigan two times. There is also a special stone there called a Patoski. While we were at the lake, my mom and I would search for them until we couldn’t see straight anymore. We also decided to bike around the entire Mackinac Island. It was quite exhausting but totally worth doing it. If you ever want to escape for maybe just a long weekend, try out Michigan! This next stop is a tropical one. In the past two years I have gone on two cruises. The first one was with my mom, grandma, and my mom’s three sisters. The ship was by Royal Caribbean and the sights I saw were marvelous. We stopped at Key West and the Cayman Islands. In Grand Cayman we swam with the oh so gentle stingrays. They were nothing to be afraid of and I would for sure visit them again. The second cruise I took was also with my mom and all of my cousins. The Independence of the Seas is the ship we sailed on.I met so many new friends that week on the ship. The locations we stopped at included Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Haiti, and Cozumel. While in Grand Cayman, I went to a sea turtle farm and swam with some of the turtles. In Cancun, we went snorkeling and kayaking. Both cruises were great adventures that I will never …show more content…
In 2012, my dad’s entire side of the family made the decision to take a trip to Maui, one of the five islands of Hawaii. Maui is by far one of the most beautiful and exotic places I have ever traveled to. There are two things that I remember the most: snorkeling at our resort and attending a luau. Going to the luau was one of the coolest things I have ever been able to experience. The food was so good, especially the purple potatoes and pineapple. This was truly an amazing experience of Hawaiian culture. We also took a drive up Mt. Haleakala which is a mountainous volcano. We got up at 4:00 in the morning so we could be there to see the sunrise. We were high above the clouds. The view was breathtaking but so cold! Hawaii is definitely somewhere I would travel back
Waving goodbye from the backseat of the car, as we pull out of my parent’s driveway. Looking out the window at the oddly, white shaped clouds. Thinking, I had never been away from my parents and my younger sister for so long, even though it was only for two weeks. I was excited and scared all at once, but I wasn’t too thrilled about the whole 29-hour drive there. Hoping that the trip would go well and nothing bad will happen to us.
We had been waiting for this trip for years. Every 5 years we go on a trip to someplace fun. When five years passed after our trip to disneyland we were all waiting to go on some other adventure. I had done this twice, but 2 things about our trip this year were special.
Visiting a different island in the Caribbean each summer has always been a family tradition of mine. The first few years never failed to make me fall in love with each and every one of them, but once my family suggested on visiting Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the eighth year, my thoughts were not so hyped. Going to the same sea each year can get old and boring. When we finally got to Punta Cana, falling in love was too short of a term to describe what I felt for it. As soon as we landed we were greeted with songs and happiness all around. The nobleness lingering in the atmosphere, coconut smell in the air, and architecture went beyond my imagination.
When spring break began my parents gave me the opportunity to have 2 weeks of spring break, where I would spend the first week hanging out with my and fiends and the week they go back to school I go on a cruise. While I was on the cruise me and my family visited 4 different islands over the 8 day voyage. On the third day on the boat we visited the Dominican Republic, on the fifth day we visited St. Thomas, on the sixth day we visited Puerto )Rico, and on the seventh day we visited are final island Grand Turk.
It was carrying a lot of people from all over the world. I have never been so excited in my life to go to one place. The anticipation was so overwhelming and once again, I could not wait to get to the resort. After a twenty minute bus ride we got to the resort. Once I stepped off the bus I could remember seeing the beautiful palm trees and feeling the heat of the sun beating on my face. I said to my dad, finally we made it and let the fun begin. We got settled and checked into the hotel. My brother and I decided to check the rest of the resort out. The resort had a crystal clear pool with a bar in it. It was amazing and I have never seen anything like it before in my life. The resort also had ten gourmet restaurants and plenty of entertaining things for us kids to do. So, after we did this we went back to our hotel and stayed in for the night. We were beat and just wanted to get some sleep from the long day of
If you are like me, you have grown bored with the theme parks, not to mention the expense, in Orlando, Florida. Here are a few ideas that have been fun-filled and educational for our family. We travel in a camper, which opens a whole new world of travel. If you don 't have a camper, one can be rented from almost any RV salesperson. Prices vary, but it will average out to about the same as a week in Orlando. These are just our experiences, and we are not a travel agent. Number 1: If you enjoy Florida then try a trip down Florida Highway 101. You can pick up Highway 101 in Jacksonville, Florida. As you head south you will be able to view miles of beaches. There are many places to park and enjoy the beach at your leisure. You will be passing through several small towns that offer the traveler sights and services. Make sure you plan a day or two stop in the oldest city St. Augustine, Florida. The shops and sights are well worth a two day stop. From here continue south and visit Daytona Beach, the home of the first NASCAR race. Number 2: From Atlanta, Georgia head North on Interstate 75. Make sure when you get to Calhoun, you exit and follow the signs to Echota. This is the location of the first Cherokee Indian Capitol. There is a great museum showing the life of the Cherokee Nation. Back on I-75 North your next stop should be Chattanooga, Tn. Here you can find several battlefields and museums concerning the War Between the States. There are monuments for every group of
One place I would like to visit is Destin Florida because a dolphin cruise , boardwalk, and walking on the pier. I always dreamed about going to Florida for vacation. Destin Florida, is known for the whitest sand and clearest water at Florida.
It is an amazing thought to think that I am sitting on a beautiful white sand beach in the South Pacific where there are no tourists!
I am drawn to the thought that vacationing is a way of making everlasting memories, in addition to encountering many diverse cultures around the world.
My best moment was when i went to the Florida Keys over Christmas break in 2015. It was a two week trip just on our way to the Keys. On our way we stopped at the Creation Museum down in Kentucky and we stayed at my grandpa’s house in Maranatha Village down in Sebring Florida. When we finally got down to the Keys i couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. The water was that beautiful blue color and there was nothing but colorful coral and crystal blue water everywhere. When we got to where we were staying it was packed. There were more campers than we could count. The campground was on it’s own little island on the highway. My dad used to work there while my grandpa sang for an audience in the outdoor bar by the pool and hot tub. When i went to
My family has gone on many vacations, but the vacation to Cancun over Thanksgiving is the one I will always remember. My grandma took our whole family on a vacation to Cancun. There were many interesting events that took place on this trip that I will always remember. Every morning waking up to the amazing view of the ocean with the waves roaring to shore. We would spend our days hanging out by the pool and riding the massive waves at the beach. Playing basketball in the pool with the family is a circus trying to score.
My family and I left for Panama city, Florida in June of 2011. The trip was so fun; we sang songs and laughed hysterically during the whole ride there. When we arrived we were all ready for the beach warm sand and it’s cool waves. We stayed at the beach until about nine and everyone prepared for dinner. Once everyone settled in we sat and ate dinner, as always the dinner was great with my family. Everyone talked about any and everything; we even cracked jokes on each other.
My favorite vacation, so far, is one I went on in September 2015 with my friends Alissa and Jaidah. We all share fandom interests. On the weekend of September 19, my brother went away to spend his birthday with my dad. My mom shook me awake and informed me I could bring two friends along to a room in the Dells that we would be occupying. Almost immediately I thought of the duo. I ran downstairs and texted both of them while packing a bag. They texted back not too long after, and I told them my mom and I would pick them up anywhere from 10-11 that Saturday morning. We picked up Alissa and she tried to direct us to Jaidah’s house, but she wasn’t thorough with her
When I was in eighth grade I went on my first trip out of the country to Nassau, Bahamas. Going on this trip was one of the most exciting and unforgettable times of my life. Not only was it a fun experience, it was also the first time I realized that I love traveling. While there I was lucky enough to visit many places, such as Blue Lagoon Island and the beautiful Atlantis Resort, and immerse myself in the Bahamian culture. My time in The Bahamas was not my only great memory from that trip. The journey to get to The Bahamas itself was also quite interesting.
As my eyes lit up like the fourth of July, I stood with my feet stuck to the ground, and my nerves tingle with happiness because of how marvelous it was. I didn't know a Mexico resort could be so nice.
