I usually love the service I get from Kalamazoo 10 theater, but this last visit has made me never want to take my business here again. The online website said there was a 10:00 pm showing of The Boy. We should up to find the showing is canceled for another movie. We ask for tickets for the 12:15am showing and are told they can not guarantee us the showing will not be canceled again for Deadpool. I'm very disappointed to wait around late at night just to be told our movie will be canceled for another movie. I should have just taken the extra drive and gone to Celebration Cinema. It's just disappointing to have a whole evening wasted waiting around for a "maybe"
During September the year 2014, my family and I took a 2 day trip to Dollywood. I was just eight years old at the time. That drive took us 12 long hours long because of car problems. Finally at 10 o'clock at night, we sluggishly dragged our extremely tired selves into the comfort of our soft beds in the hotel. The next morning, we drove over to the park and just past the entrance was a special place where you can get measured and given a color coded bracelet that would let you and others know what rides you were tall enough to ride. I was so excited because I was finally tall enough to get an orange bracelet, which meant I could ride most of the rides. After riding the smaller rides with my younger siblings, my mom wanted to take me on a
Have you ever expected an unfavorable outcome from an experience, yet were shocked with the best? Nashville, Tennessee is the city where I was able to realize that I have the potential to do great things with my life. It was the middle of June at the 2016 HOSA International Leadership Conference, and I was sixteen years old. At this time, I had been dealing with anxiety and depression for so long that I never thought I would be able to make an accomplishment that meant something to others and myself. This trip helped me realize that I am capable of more than I think.

The summers of 2013, I went to Cedar Point. It was me, my brother, my mom, dad, and my dad’s friend. My dad said, “we are going to get on all of us the roller coasters” and the rest of us said “ok.”
Have you ever been to six flags? It's located in Atlanta Georgia and it is filled with amazing rides and superhero merchandise and souvenirs. Six flags atlanta has rides that make you wanna run away from it or just wanna to get on and make yourself sick after repeating.
It was a beautiful evening in April, and the weather was finally starting to get warm again. After a tough and bitter winter, little buds were appearing on flowers and trees, and some color was returning to the world. Above, the sun was setting creating various shades of red, pink, and orange across the blue sky. Among an audience, darkness encompassed the room creating an anxious silence. Only after a few seconds the stars came out. The stage lights came on nearly blinding the audience, and the actress said her first line.
Sonoma State University was first introduced to me a year ago when I went on a tour of SSU with my school. Twenty of us went on a trip to Northern California to see schools such as University of San Francisco, San Francisco State, Holy Names University, UC Berkeley, and of course, Sonoma State University. I fell in love with SSU the minute I stepped on campus, the campus is so full of trees, unlike the desert-style campuses of many Southern California schools near where I live, and amazing buildings that inspire me by just being around them. When I took a tour of SSU, my tour guide was a part of the Hutchins Program, and she was so passionate when she told my group about it. I had never heard of a program that allowed students to get their degree and teaching credential in 4 years, so after that tour I began to research and tour schools with these kinds of programs, and yet none of them have impacted me quite like the Hutchins Program.
On April second my honors class went on a day trip to the Chickasaw Cultural Center. It is in Davis and near the Tushkahoma site in September. I had been to many cultural centers before, but I cannot remember if I had been to Chickasaw’s specifically. I went separate from the group due to colliding plans. Therefore, I went with my friends Allison, Alyssa, Alie, and Jordan. Driving to the Cultural Center our GPS sent us to a campground, so we had to turn around and ask for directions. Eventually, we located the huge sign, which we somehow missed, pointing us in the right direction. Driving in, I was quite surprised at how clean it was. You could tell that they took pride in their heritage, just by the way they presented the center to us.
I am from Alabama aka AL, but I live in Colorado now. When I was down there I lived in a small town that is called Frisco City, Al that has trees everywhere and there are lakes everywhere too. I loved everything about my hometown, but I had to leave my home because I was young and dumb. Also I wanted to see a new place. When someone asked me why I left AL I told them why. I have been in CO for 1 year and I like the jobs here and the education is great. I really miss my family and my hometown, so I wanted to go back home to see my family because I haven't seen them in a year. That's why I am telling you about my trip back home.
Over the course of approximately one-hundred years there has been a discernible metamorphosis within the realm of African-American cinema. African-Americans have overcome the heavy weight of oppression in forms such as of politics, citizenship and most importantly equal human rights. One of the most evident forms that were withheld from African-Americans came in the structure of the performing arts; specifically film. The common population did not allow blacks to drink from the same water fountain let alone share the same television waves or stage. But over time the strength of the expectant black actors and actresses overwhelmed the majority force to stop blacks from appearing on film. For the longest time the performing arts were
Honestly for most of my life I've never been the most outgoing person in the world. I suppose a stranger would've called me reserved, but I knew that deep down inside that I had the ability to not be “that shy girl”.In time it did turn out I did have that I did have the ability not to be so quiet but it did take me quite a while; one experience in particular did in a way force me to come out of my shell.
Anderson Theatre has truly shaped me into the mature young adult I am today. My freshman year, I decided to join theatre not knowing what to expect. None of my friends were in theatre, and it was something I decided to do completely on my own. I walked into the first meeting, late because I had cheer practice, and sat in the back of the Fine Arts Room by myself. I then let cheerleading take over all of my time, and did not return to theatre until Dry Tech. That day, I walked in and started working. In that 12 hour day, I realized that doing hair and makeup is something I am really great at. In that 12 hour day, I met dozens of people with whom I am still friends with today. Because of Anderson Theatre, I met my best friend. I laughed more than
1. Transitions helped me familiarize myself with the campus. The students who were involved were very helpful and answered any questions I had. The tour of the campus helped me feel more comfortable. Transitions was a great way to meet many other freshmen and faculty. The students made me aware of all the great services available at Minot State University.
My experience to the Dallas Museum of Art was a bit different from the last time I had attended the museum. I was curious to see what pieces of art there would be and if it would be the same as the previous visit which was long ago, but to me all the pieces of art were so different and very interesting. It may have been because I saw all the pieces in a new perspective since learning about the different types of paintings there can be and knowing how and where sculptures come from. Even though I do not know much of art I really gave it a try into seeing what the artist may have wanted us to get out of his work. By reading a view of the chapters made me aware of art, I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but it was actually nice knowing that a
