My first time going to Mexico
By: Jennifer Ruiz I was sitting on the couch with my brother and sister watching television when my mom and dad came to ask us if we wanted to go to Mexico with our aunt and cousins and we said yes we were all excited because we were finally going to get to meet our family members that live there.
Once they told us that they told us that we had to be at the airport tomorrow so we have to go pack because we were leaving tonight. Then we went to go pack up our stuff the day went by fast the next thing we knew we were all packed up and ready to go. Once we finished we told our parents to help us put our things in the car once we finished with that our parents took us to our aunt’s house. We put our things in her car when we finished we said goodbye to our mom and dad then we left. We got to the airport the next day we just waited a few minutes till they called our flight.

And the air pilot told us that the airplane will be taking off soon I was a little scared because I never been on an airplane before. Right after she said that the airplane was already starting to move the next thing I knew the airplane was in the air. It wasn’t scary at all it was actually pretty fun. Then the air pilots were walking through every ille with a cart and asking every passenger if the wanted anything to drink or if we wanted cookies or peanuts. I chose the cookies they were really good. A few hours past and we arrived at the airport. Once we got off of the airplane our aunt picked us all up but we got separated because we wouldn’t all fit in one
It all started off with my family and I going to Mexico. We were going on a vacation. I was pretty excited to see my cousin. He was a really funny guy, especially because the way he tells his jokes. When we got to my godfather’s house, it was huge. It had 2 stories, 5 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, a garage, and a big patio. I realized that staying at his house was going to be the best . So my cousin, brother, and I we all ate when we arrived. After we ate we went outside to play soccer, as we were going outside I noticed he had and ATV. He said we could use it later. After soccer we went inside to shower, because we were gonna go to the mall.
I meet my Grandparents and Mexico because of my mom. “Jamie we are going to Mexico and you will your Grandparents” said my mom “What!”. The time had come I had to say bye to my dad and get into the plane. “Bye dad I will miss you so much” “You will come back Jamie, I will miss you too” my dad answer. We got to Mexico City and my Grandpa was at the airport waiting for us. We got to the town I had never seen so many people all my family was there the family of my dad and mom. I didn't know what to do I was barely 5 years old. They had make tamales and don't remember what else. I just wanted to do is go back to the US. The first few weeks were horrible I hated Mexico they didn't have good pizza and hamburgers the food that my grandma did I didn't
Waving goodbye from the backseat of the car, as we pull out of my parent’s driveway. Looking out the window at the oddly, white shaped clouds. Thinking, I had never been away from my parents and my younger sister for so long, even though it was only for two weeks. I was excited and scared all at once, but I wasn’t too thrilled about the whole 29-hour drive there. Hoping that the trip would go well and nothing bad will happen to us.
Every year I go to Mexico, during spring break and summer. It's always relaxing laying on the beach or going on a nice refreshing swim in the 70 degree water. It was an average day down in mexico during the summer of 2017; I remember my family and I relaxing at home after a long day on the boat. I was feeding the street dog because I could tell she was either having puppies, or already had puppies. She was starving to death, her ribs were showing, I knew I had to help her. I started feeding her three times a day so she could start producing milk if she’s already had the puppies; or so she could keep the puppies healthy while she was still pregnant. A few days later I walked outside to feed her, and I hear whimpering like the sound newborn puppies
My eyes reveal my story. Although I was born in the United States, my Mexican heritage shines through my hazel eyes. I am proud of both my American and Mexican identity. My Grandparents on both sides immigrated from Mexico to Southern, California before my parents were born. In our home, we celebrate our Mexican culture through cooking traditional meals and celebrating traditional holidays, such as Día de los muertos. My Family creates an altar decorated with candles, flowers, colorful trimmings and offerings for our loved ones who have passed. I feel fortunate my Mexican heritage is intertwined with my American identity.
In the first place, 1930 was hard for most people even though I hadn’t experienced it but my family and I were one of the survivors that lived thanks to my father. My Father died during the dust bowl due to pneumonia. Since my father died my mom is a single parent so I have to go to school. I go to school with a trash bag and out of nowhere people start calling me names like mentally retarded, but I don't care because they are the rich kids here. A few have passed and I started to do things like work go to school and other stuff people do. During the time of school I had better grades than all the students in my class, but one thing that was hard and distracting was my teacher. Sometimes she’d get mad at other students then she would get mad
It all started on a chilly day in Akron, Ohio. It was on the 6th of June , where my family decided we will go down to Cancun, Mexico Riviera Maya. We were ready to spend the time of our life on that 1 week trip.
My family and I have gone on many vacations to a lot of locations around the world. The worst trip I’ve ever taken was my trip to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. This trip was so unenjoyable to me because right from the get go things weren’t looking good for me; when we arrived in Mexico it was raining and very windy. Even so, when we got to the resort and checked in, I found that the lock on my hotel room door was broken and I was unable to get into my room. It took hours for the hotel staff to figure out what was wrong and fix it. The next five days were sunny and warm but unfortunately it was still too windy to do any water activities like scuba diving. Which really aggravated me because earlier in the summer I had spent
We had been waiting for this trip for years. Every 5 years we go on a trip to someplace fun. When five years passed after our trip to disneyland we were all waiting to go on some other adventure. I had done this twice, but 2 things about our trip this year were special.
We went through security and got our tickets when my dad handed me my ticket I got so happy. I just couldn't stop thinking about what it is like to fly. Over and over in my head I repeated “I can't wait”, “I can't wait” just waiting for them to call our flight. Then It happened a nice lady said “Who’s going to Hawaii” , so I jumped up and replied “I AM!”. We gave her our tickets and walked on the plane, once everyone got on the plane the pilot called my family and I up to the cockpit he said “are you Jakob” looking straight at me so replied with a nervous ”yes” thinking I was in trouble. He said “good I have a surprise for you, here's our flight path and can I tell the plane what you have been through?” I said it was ok so he took a walkie talkie thing and said “we have a
It was June 31, 2016 it was a very gloomy day at Guanajuato, Mexico. It was the second to last day because the next day I would be staying in Mexico. That morning my sister and I woke up at 7 in the morning. We got up and did the bed and prepared an put clothes and towel in separate bags. I told my maternal grandma that we were going with our aunt veronica, which is my mom's older sister. As I stroll down to with my sister in our pajamas, we cross the road and go down another hill once again. When we get there we yell for my aunt to open her gate. We always did that every time we went to her house. As we go in, my aunt already has the warm water prepared so we can shower. It is really different because there is no shower head, just water in
After being in Mexico for about three days, 2 for mourning and one for the burial, we packed our things and headed home. For some peculiar reason my mom decided to take our white dodge truck on this trip but luckily for me, she did. That night my uncle decided to let me ride in the front middle seat because he wanted to sleep on our way back home so I gladly
It was a peaceful day in a crummy condo. My brother and I were sitting in his room. I had AP Social Studies homework and he had 7th grade English. He was in the middle of asking me a question when a gust of wind came through the closed window. I kind of, how do I put this, a noise. A very dim, subtle noise. A ZING, SWOOSH, SHUUWAH noise. And out popped two people. A man and a woman. They looked at us in a passive, easygoing way, and the women said to us in a soft, calm voice, “We are your parents. And want to take you home”.
This summer I went to Mexico with my family to visit some relatives. Usually every morning would go the same, I would wake up and my hair was a fiasco, just such a disaster. This usually explains why we were late to everything because we were just lollygagging while getting ready so we would never make it on time anywhere. And while I was in Mexico at a dance some guys were coming towards my cousin and I. Eventually they walked up and they had the chutzpa to ask us to dance with them right after they had made some rude comments to one of our friends. At first they were very nice about asking but after a while they got a bit more annoying and we decided to leave. Something I realized was that girls have to be very discreet
As my eyes lit up like the fourth of July, I stood with my feet stuck to the ground, and my nerves tingle with happiness because of how marvelous it was. I didn't know a Mexico resort could be so nice.
