“Pap he hadn’t been seen for more than a year, and that was comfortable for me; I didn’t want to see him no more.”
“I’ve been on this old island for too long, I’m bored and I want some whiskey, I probably look like a idiot out her talking to myself.”
I’ll pack my things and get outta here, But where am I to go? What is that darn little town I used to call a home called? Should I travel there? I know I’ve been gone for about a year, but I haint heard from my boy or from anyone. I guess they thought I was drownd and dead. Maybe i’ll go to Ohio or something, or just stay here. I just gotta get me some whiskey soon.
The next morning I decided I would take my things and travel to Ohio, see what it’s like over there. I had to get enough strength for the trip though, so I decided i wouldn’t leave for a few days.

I made it though, I made it to Ohio.
“What are you doing here?” A nigger asked me.
“And what do you think you’re doing?” I asked him, “You shouldn’t even be allowed to talk to me.”
He replied, “well I’m on my way to vote.”
When I heard this I couldn’t even think, and I couldn’t even talk, it felt like I couldn’t even breath.
Once I caught my breath I responded, “You’re what?”
“Going to vote.” he replied again.
“Aint no way,” I yelled, “Aint no way this nigger allowed to vote, come on someone has gotta back me
It was a small town in Cornersville, Ohio. Nothing much ever happened in this small town until one day. A new family moved in one afternoon. Everyone was surprised because no one even noticed the house being built. Everyone was still delighted that they moved in because the couple, Bob and Nancy, were very friendly. Bob and Nancy helped with all the activities in town and were very generous. A couple of weeks after they moved in, a lot of strange things began. Money started disappearing, the lights in the town went out every night except for Bob and Nancy's lights, even people's pets went missing. One night, everyone's lights went out at 11:30 as usual, except there was an extremely loud noise. The neighbors went outside to see where all the
When people ask me where I am from and I say Cleveland, they often react as if I had said “vanilla.” But if I say Believeland, they perk up and typically want to hear more.
Imagine your life being confined to eight and half square miles. This was a reality for me, up until age 14, when I first adventured out of my home state.
I was 16 years old when i moved to Cleveland. I had moved from California, a place that everyone thinks of as a area of movie making, opportunities, rich people with fancy lamborghinis and ferraris, well it's nothing like that where i come from. Compton california, the place that you can see 14 year old gang members with guns, get shot just for wearing the wrong color, or just walking down the street like my mom. I never really meet my dad he got locked up when i was 3 on an assault charge so i had to move in with my grandparents in Cleveland.
I guess now that i’m putting this all on paper and thinking so much about it, it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to get away, after all, this Iowa winter is what killed my sweet little girl. Lord knows
Many people move around to different states throughout their life, and I have had the opportunity to live in what feels like two different worlds. I have spent most of my life in Bradenton, Florida, but at the age of ten I moved to the small town of Cleveland in the north east Georgia mountains. The two towns are completely different in my opinion and only someone who has lived there would completely understand what I mean when I say two different worlds. The weather, the people, and the different opportunities are just a few of the differences between the two towns.
I am glad to read your post and a pleasure to meet you via the forum post. When I read you moved, I understood because I just move to Columbus, MS two months ago. Also, do not blame you missing Hawaii. I heard it is a beautiful destination for a vacation. Someday I wish to visit the island it has been one of those places I longed to experience. The best part about traveling, one gets to meet different people and have a new experience. Proud of you taking care of your family at the same time schooling and managing your own business. One advantage owning your business, while in school. You have an opportunity to put into action what you learned from into real-life experience. Also, taking retail management will give you the edge to successfully
I feel like I'm out of my mind It feel like my life ain't mine [Chorus: Logic] I don't wanna be alive I don't wanna be alive
So far, my trip has been a fairly easy one. I left home on April 5, and I believe it's been 75 days. I didn't want to leave Cleveland right then since business was good but I have to avoid the winter months. Thankfully, we avoided a majority of the rain. I heard from men a few wagons ahead that they were soaked from the rain meaning that we barely missed it. I am a little worried about my health, though. A friend of mine on the wagon died from cholera, and I'm praying that I don't get
When I applied to Syracuse I knew virtually nothing about the sports program. No one in my family or any of my friends had gone to Syracuse. The first chance I got to see Syracuse was during a tour in August of 2015. By that point, I had seen dozens of college campuses. A few local city schools, a few state schools, private schools and even some ivy schools. But only one had something that stood out to me. The initial vibe you get when you first march out on campus at ‘Cuse is nothing like anything I experienced at those schools. The best part for me was the tour guide. I do not remember her name, except for the fact that she was a senior and no longer goes here, but I do remember her personality. She was bubbly, welcoming, and she never for a second, lost a
Before attending Columbus high school my connection with G-d and my Community were lacking heavily, I was indifferent to the plights of others around me. Once I arrived I was introduced to the path of G-d, my religion class taught me the ways of worship and faith in our Lord. When I was told about having to perform community hours I just thought that it would be a waste of my time, how wrong I was. During my time volunteering I learned about the divide between myself and those I helped, being able to see the discrepancy first hand I had an urge to assist even if it was only minorly significant. By labouring to hopefully make their lives slightly brighter, I believe that it brought me closer to G-d and my Ideal self that was designated by G-d.
We traveled to Michigan during the winter and went skiing. I panicked when i was chopping meat because i thought i was gonna cut my fingers off. My uncle interfered when i answered the phone. For 27 years I have lived in Dayton, Ohio but I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. My parents and I moved to Ohio when I was 14 years old. I now live with my wife Bella who is 39, my 19 year old son Tom, and Sally, my 12 year old daughter. I work as an apothecary at the local drugstore and Tom makes boots at the leather shop.
A great man once said, “I believe the first test of a truly great man is his humility” (John Ruskin, unknown). Humble beginnings serve as a great foundation for people because it teaches you to be appreciative of the things that you may experience in life. Every person have their own life story but mine is the story of a typical man, growing up in Greenville, Alabama. I can write a book about myself, but since we do not have that much time, let me inform you a little about myself.
