A few days ago I started feeling weird . It was something I couldnt explain . I started having weird tingles and felt very weak . My headaches were getting worse and my whole body felt stiff. My neck pain was starting to return. My hands started getting weak and in the morning and I could barely open my medication or hold a cup. I called my doctor wanted to see me in the office the next day. He sent me for an MRI the following day. When we were discussing the results he told me I had a 2inch Pseudomeningocele L4/L5.
A pseudomeningocele is an abnormal collection of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) that communicates with the CSF space around the brain or spinal cord. The only guaranteed way to get rid of a Pseudomeningocele is surgery. He said that
Santiago de los Caballeros, that’s where my family is from in the Dominican Republic. Everything about it warms my heart just as much as its vicious sun does penetrating your pores until you’re almost sure they aren’t there anymore. My father’s side of the family had just come down from the Capitol, which is known to be ignorant and high maintenance despite being from a third world country. The Dominican air smelled earthy and damp, yet you could feel its purity in the pit of your lungs. We decided to sit down at a food truck area and eat the signature post-club, pre-hangover, Dominican sandwich: The Chimmichurri. It is nowhere near as disgusting as it sounds, I promise. As we made ourselves comfortable in our plastic chairs beside The Monument, we had a complete view of the lights scattered like a den of fireflies illuminating the city. I was lost within the laughter you find yourself in after one too many Red Rock sodas when our Haitian server approached us. He kept reading the menu off to us and I fell in love
Picture living in a community where every minute of every day you were hungry, under-clothed, and afraid death because you are poor. A world in which child dies of hunger every 5 seconds. Now imagine waking up and your biggest problem was which sweater to wear with which jeans. Even though this seems hard to imagine, this life of poverty has been a reality for most people for ages. Before the1900s, few wealthy people would ever think about poverty. Two prominent authors were Garrett Hardin and Peter Singer, who wrote essays about human poverty. They questioned whether to confront the issue of poverty or to ignore it. The first essay is "Life Ethics: the Case Against Helping the Poor" from the
Coach Shapiro raises his monogrammed aluminum whistle and it is the most unholy sight I have ever laid my eyes on. I allow myself to exhale. I attempt taking in the air of the room when I inhale. Instead, I am greeted with the sweet ripe smell of ‘determination’. Determination is Coach’s word for sweat, as in Ya ain’t had enough ‘til ya got determination all over your body or Practice ain’t over ‘til ya are able to fill a glass with your determination. My pores are boundless and eager. My anxiety starts to show itself through the determination that leaks off of me like a faucet.

It would be incredible to have a twin. First it would be awesome because we can practice athletics together. My twin could be on the same soccer team as me. Another reason if I had a twin would be in school together. Me and my twin can work on homework together. My twin could be in the same classes as me. The third reason of having a twin would be is that you and him could have the same friends. My twin and I can never get bored because we will always hangout together. The fourth Reason of having a twin is that we would go swimming a lot more. My twin would make swimming fun because swimming with no one is not fun at all. The last reason is that at home we can always play games together. I have nerf guns so me and my twin could have a nerf
Overall, I am a work in progress that continues to enhance in my basic and advanced skills day by day. I believed I am getting better and I will continue to practice until I am a master piece. Honestly, I feel comfortable entering the counseling field after learning many techniques and tools that will help me grow as a counselor.
Back then , I am deficient in both negative and positive freedom. My parents impose my schedule and the rules I must live by. My possible choices are constrained, and my beliefs and goals usually comes from my parents. I also lack self-mastery. I have poor impulse-control and afraid of a good many things.
My initial perceptions about the students of St. Angela were very stereotypical. Honestly, I expected those students to come from single parent backgrounds and come from a low income household. I expected to deal with students who live life in a survival type of manner. What I mean by survival type of manner is for one to be on defense seeing the type of the children are from the Austin area. Walking in to St. Angela I expected to deal with kids that didn’t listen and know respect for authority. I expected this due to my upbringing in the same neighborhood.
All of this nonsince started when I was taking my daughter to the park. The first that we did was I took her to the mmonkey barsrs she did a couple of tricks and then she stood up uunderer them and she said she wanted to go to the swings and we both walked over there and we both noticed that two of the swings were all tangeled up so we had to go to the othe side of the park and get on the swings and there were 4 boys on the swings talking loud and swinging really high. One of the boys said hey you guys watch this, what are you gonna do, said one of the guys. You will see just watch. Next thing you know that guy did a flip attempting to land it, well he landed it alright he landed on the heal of his foot, fell down and and started sscreamingng
Today my heart was over joyed as I left Anaselie. She was in a much better mood this week. When I first got to her class the first thing I noticed there was a sub today, the sub asked for help with the presentation she was to show to the class today, while the girl who also meets at her book buddy was helping the sub. I walked around the classroom, looking at what the students were working on. They were labeling different things you would find in the classroom; all the students had finished labeling and were coloring. Except Anaselie, she was coloring but her labeling was not legible at all. It looked like scribbles. This hurt my heart a little bit; I just don’t understand why a parent would neglect their child’s education. This is something
Let’s begin with a typical flashback story. It was a bright and sunny Wednesday morning. As she was saying goodbye to her father, Angela felt as though something was a little eerie. She heard a thunderous noise that was quite common back in the Oklahoma fields, but this time it rattled the entire house and that was rather unusual. Asking her father with great concern, she knew something dreadful had happened. “He told me it was something in the field behind his house, but it shook the house and that has never happened before” (Lira). She turned on the TV and switched to the news channel to see the news anchor broadcasting “BREAKING NEWS” across the screen.. At 9:02 a.m., a rental truck packed with explosives parked in front
2013 was the year they said the world was going to end. People talked and talked about how in 2013 we were all going to die. It was all a big hoax, of course. It was all made on the news and on social media. I guess you could say it was true for me. 2013 was a devastating year; it was also the year I had to grow up a little bit more and become a man. I'm seventeen now, turning eighteen in two months; but I became a man on October 6th, 2013. It was by far the most heartbreaking new we had ever received, but it was also my time to become a man. I was just a child when I saw everything come falling down.
Firstly, this essay will examine the fundamental concept of gender. According to West and Zimmerman (1987), the concept of doing gender is all about the routine people accomplish in their everyday lives. However, gender is not about what a person is, but it is something a person does in the process of interacting with others. West and Zimmerman (1987) argue that gender is something we do everyday, all the time, and it is an ongoing activity, so we cannot stop doing it. However, people do gender knowing that they will judge by other. By this they have been held accountable for their gender performances. Deutsch (2007) mentioned that doing gender has had an impact on the study of gender relations. However, this concept has social interactions
