Walked to the big red door, took a deep breath, walked in. Before I knew it, one of our not so good kids was running up to me yelling “Miss Dana, Miss Dana!,”gave me a big hug and ran back. It was a good feeling after a long day at school. I walked and noticed our worse kid was leaving and a sigh of relief came. The kids sat in their assigned spots and waited quietly while Michaela got her laptop. She explained the game while I put the poly spots in random areas in the gym. The kids came to the middle of the gym around the circle. Michaela and I stood in the middle, put Disney music on, watched the kids dance around the circle clockwise direction. Paused the music and all you see are the kids pausing and then quickly running to a poly spot. Down one kid each time, finally getting to the winner. I think they enjoyed playing musical spots, but I think they enjoyed …show more content…
We always ask “what’s your favorite” questions. Once they were done eating we got them lined up. Michaela and I noticed three of our boys standing side by side were wearing the same plaid shorts but in different colors, blue, green, yellow, with their pant color collared shirt. It was instantly adorable. We went to the gym and got ready for quiet free time. The kids helped put the mats back. Seeing little kids help each other out is so precious. Especially when two don’t get along, carry a mat together. It melted my heart. Got Legos and blocks out and started building together. So much teamwork that day makes you proud. One bad kid had his day where he just wanted to help. Someone would leave, he went to open the door. I couldn’t tell you how many times he opened the door. It was astonishing. A second grader wanting to help someone. Precious. The kindergarten girl built a house with Legos. She showed me it, couldn’t stop smiling. My heart dropped of pure
Our hearts pounding and stomachs filled with excitement and nerves as we step into Georgian Court University’s gym. The day has finally come The Shore Conference Championship for girl’s volleyball! The gym is huge nothing like we are used to, you could practically see yourself in the hardwood floors. We are the first team to arrive so we get a feel for the gym before anyone else gets there. Including ourselves there are four teams that will have the chance to play in the final to win The Shore Conference. The first game is the semi-finals our opponent is the team Barnegat. Barnegat is known for there tall middles who like to hit the short corners, so knowing this we had to make adjustments that we are not so familiar with.
Have you ever had a person in your life you never thought you could be friends with, but you ended up being best friends? Picking a point in my life that I know impacted my life in just one choice was easy. For me, Joining Cannon Falls Weightlifting team, was not only very enjoyable, but it gave me the opportunity to become friends with my now two best friends. So many questions to how in just ten months we went from strangers to best friends.
“Hey!” yelled Steve. “I need to talk to you about Janet .” His voice boomed over the stadium parking lot while I tried to find a place to hide. I could see no escape so that I turned to face Janet’s brother.
Growing up we all have dreams and great aspirations to be something one day. All of us with something different in mind, some of us along the same line, whether it's a professional athlete, astroughnaught, superman/woman,or even a parent to our soon to be kids,we all dream to be something one day. But along the lines of reality, we hit a wall,a wall of truth. The wall of truth being our grades aren't good enough, you're too short, or the fact you can't fly. Well i know what I want to be, I want to be an athletic trainer. What influenced me? John Alder.
This past August I ran into a friend from high school and we chatted for at least five minutes, catching up on each other’s lives. I had seen on his Facebook that he recently started a new job, so I asked him about it. He joined this workout group called Camp Gladiator as a partner trainer. As he was telling me about it, I could tell he really loved this new job, helping people better themselves by working out.
The physical aging activity I picked was smearing Vaseline on the lens of my eyeglasses. This is what senior citizens experience but without smearing Vaseline on there eyeglasses. It took me twice to put Vaseline on my goggles because the first time I put to much Vaseline on the goggles. The first time it was really blurry because I couldn’t read any words and everything was really foggy and fuzzy. I felt like that wasn’t a close experience because it was like I was totally blind and only saw blurred color. The second time I actually smeared a little bit of Vaseline on my eyeglasses. I’ve wore eyeglasses every since I was in third grade and my eye vision is a little bit weak. I think when I put the Vaseline on my glasses my vision was quit
As I got an invitation to go to open gym with my friends, my main thoughts were, “I hope I can get some new skills tonight.” Little did I know, my thoughts about four hours later would be, “I have never been so upset, angry, or disappointed in my life.” As I walked into the cold, noisy gym, I was prepared to achieve my round off back handspring back tuck. I assured myself that I would be able to do it successfully. I wished that the ground was as soft and comforting as the dark trampoline with orange and blue bumpers. Seeing girls doing back walkovers on the thin, beige, four- inch beam, swinging their bodies around the slippery, uneven bars, and flipping themselves into the sky blue, squishy mat made me tell myself, “If they can do that,
I take a deep breath, attempting to stop the shaking of my body. I stand still for a long time, too long, before I finally swing my arms and flip myself backwards. My hands barely graze the beam before they slip off, and I find myself flat chested on the beam in front of everyone at the competition. All I can think at this moment is that there is no possible way this has happened to me again.
With the advent of Medicare offering reimbursement to family practice clinics and primary care physician offices related to staving off the obesity problem in America, the physical therapy department would take advantage of this benefit and create a new line of service. The new line of service will aim to provide a program wherein the practitioner in that office (physicians, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialists, physician assistants) will be able to attract patients with body mass index of ≥ 30 kg/m2. The program is geared towards creating a plan on how obese patients can start losing weight, improve their lifestyle, behaviors and habits. The physical therapy department will also administer the fitness
How much time would you spend in the gym if you were promoted?: If I was gym leader I would spent as much time as needed in a gym, I Would always be on If someone needed A Gym Sub. It all started on June 2014, I was uncomfortable in my own skin. I was underweight and was always out of breath. I ran like a turtle. At that time, I weighed only 115 pounds. I wanted to make a change for the better, wanting a better lifestyle. So I decided to sign up for the gym. That day changed my life forever. The gym made me fit, healthier, but most importantly it made me a better person which is who I am today.
In my practicum, I was placed in a Physical Education (P.E.) classroom at Robert Asp Elementary. I was in the gym a majority of the time, with occasionally being outside. Most of the time, I was with first grade and fifth grade. A few times I was also with second, third, and fourth grade. Because of the setting I was in, there would be one class for thirty minutes, and then they would switch and another class would come in for thirty minutes. One day a week, we had health and on that day, one class would be in the gym for a full hour and we would only have one class of that grade instead of two.
Walking into Saint Joan of Arc felt like exactly like walking into a school gym. The collapsable chairs lined up in long rows that gave you about as much legroom as an economy seat on an airplane. The yellow hardwood floors glazed with inches of protective coatings. The scruffy white basketball hoop with its orange net. Even the stage located in the center of the room. All of these things could have been taken straight out of my own elementary school gymnasium as it was playing host to a barrage of parents around holidays, excited to see their children perform.
