So one day our family decided to go to Disney World with her family. It was our family, our aunts family, my mom’s parents, and Emmy and Bear. We took 2 cars, 6 people in each. It took us a whole 11 hours to get there! When we got there we stayed in 2 apartments called New Orleans.
One memory that vividly sticks out in my mind from my childhood was that special summer when my parents told me we were going on a trip to Disney World. It was in June of 2001 and I was twelve years old. My parents planned the trip six months in advance. As a child, it seemed as if the time would never come. When it finally came time to pack and leave, I felt eager and excited. The night before our departure, I could not sleep at all. My most memorable childhood experience is of going to Walt Disney World with my family and having a great time.Vacations with the family were always joyous.
Since the grand opening in 1971, Walt Disney World has continuously brought dreams to life. Walter Elias Disney and his brother Roy Oliver Disney cofounded Walt Disney World in hopes of encouraging imagination among all attendees. The park continues to grow and excite visitors from all over the world. Many people deem Walt Disney World as one of the best theme parks to exist. To make this evaluation one must consider the qualities successful theme parks possess. These include entertainment for all age groups, flexible options for health needs, advanced technology, and alluring themes. While Walt Disney World may be busy, it exhibits all the necessities of an excellent theme park.
Mary Ann Sena-Edelen is currently the Director of Guest Experience at MGM Grand. Before that though, she was just a Mexican/Filipino intern at Salt Lake City for a radio station. After her dad won $10,000 at bingo, she quit her job and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada to pursue new opportunities. She had known ever since the day she moved to Las Vegas that everything about the city was suited for her. Everything that happened after that was out of effort, which was one of the points that Mary Ann wanted to drive home to a classroom of about 200+ students. Mary Ann’s success was a result of effort and her creating the person that she wants to be.
When it comes to dining-in at a restaurant we all want the best service that we can get. When I think of “the best service” I think about the cleanliness, nice waitresses, good food, and affordable prices. There are so many different options when a family thinks about going out to eat, especially if they have small children. It’s often hard to go to a nice dine-in restaurant because sometimes it’s hard to find something on the menu for everyone in the family. I have experienced many things at two completely different restaurants. I can say Demos’ is better than Logan’s because the food and service is much better.
Buffalo Bills restaurant is a well-known restaurant that sits at the heart of Hayward on B Street. It is surrounded by a chain of many other fine dining restaurants, but none as good as the western inspired Buffalo Bills. On the outside of the restaurant at first glance it reminds you of an old Italian place, yet the name “Buffalo Bills” set your mind at askew when you notice the western title compared to the Italian landscape outside. Buffalo Bills has a variety of delicious Soups, Burgers, Pizzas, Desserts and assorted appetizers. Although their menu seems to be very simple, it’s the simplicity that catches the eye. Yesterday I visited Buffalo Bills restaurant, and I must say their main goal is to keep their customers happy and make them want to come back. The customers seem to enjoy the enthusiasm that Buffalo Bills portrays within the eating environment, service, and the amazing food.
As an 8-year-old child, the worlds scary place. Everywhere you look there’s something terrifying. From people the size of giants, roaming the streets, with no care what so ever with their surroundings or just realizing that in a few years would come the most difficult and emotionally unstable time of my life. Sure, those things may be slightly exaggerated, but what I do know is the most horrendous experience I had in the land of joy that ultimately ruined my love Disney for many years.
The progression of technology and its presence in society has strongly molded the way people live their lives today, and the way they will continue to live their lives years from now. But with this advancement of science and increased order, there is a consequence that seems to be a heavy price to pay: the loss of human emotion and freewill, and the submission to organization and commands. The tourist industry is one such manufactured machine, so to speak, that influences people's views in certain aspects. One of these aspects, culture, is a main focus of post-modernist writer Bryan Turner, who believes that "tourism invents and demands empathy...makes cultures
It was a hot sunny, afternoon ,my family and I were heading to Six Flags 5 long hours away from where we live which is Atwater California, but it felt like a 30 hour trip. When we got to the hotel that we were going to stay at for 4 days while we were visiting Six Flags my parents asked me if I would start walking with my little brother to the entrance where my big brother, sister ,grandma ,and aunt were waiting in the first lobby. I reached out to text my brother that we were heading over to the hotel but my phone wasn’t there! I started to freak out and I actually pinched myself just to see if it was a dream but it wasn’t I asked my little brother if he had seen it but he said that he hadn’t. All I was thinking about was what my parents would say about me losing my phone.
"Wake up babe! We're going to Six Flags today!", my boyfriend yelled excitedly. Those two words instantly made my stomach knot. I was not a fan of roller coasters and I knew exactly what Henry, my boyfriend, wanted to do as soon as we got there. Krystal and Emily, my two younger cousins, had spent the night with us so we could all go together the next day. I anxiously got up and started to get ready. Everybody was really excited. I wanted to be just as excited as they were but some how I couldn't manage to gain enough courage.
It was June 1967, when my father quit his job as a mechanic and opened a restaurant in Chicago. Being the youngest of eight children (one which died prior to my birth), everyone in the family had to help out in order to make the restaurant a success.
I remember planning for this day for about two years. When I would finally get the chance to be with my best friends and take a road-trip to California to go to Disney Land, and now that the time to take that trip has come and gone I would like to talk about my most important journey.
Do you need some place to go eat after church or just to hang out with friends? Golden Corral is the kind of place you can go to hang out with your friends and chill. The restaurant usually gets so busy on weekends that you will not have a space to park your car. If you want, you are welcome to park in the back, but it is a long walk to the entrance. The food is worth the walk, and many people do not mind because they love bringing their families to this restaurant on weekends. It is one of the best buffets in Omaha. They offer not only great service, but a fun atmosphere for eating with friends or family, and at a reasonable price.
Once I stepped inside the restaurant I automatically could hear the music playing at a moderate level and the laughter of the customers. Right off the back the restaurant's ambiance had a positive vibe. Mindful, it was a Saturday late afternoon. Mary Jane Burger and Brew is a local restaurant trying to stay true to its past. The granddaughter of the original owner now runs the place with the intention of serving good quality food where the ingredients are fresh, mouth watering, and surely not filled with antibiotics and all that other genetically modified elements found in processed foods. The vintage, rustic looking place, holds a small town atmosphere with a big taste.
As far back as I can remember, I have always liked going out to eat. Two of my favorite restaurants are Jake’s and McDonald’s. Though both are places to dine they have their differences in their ambiance, waiting, and expense. When deciding where to go to eat, I have three things to think about. I must consider the atmosphere or where I want to go. The amount of time I have is another consideration. The amount of money that I am able to spend is a big influence.
