Once we reached the small apartment building I walked through the lobby and up the multiple flights of stairs until we reached the rusty door.
I shoved my key into the lock and twisted listening to the kind of old medal move and the door opening. I peeked my head inside making sure that my mom had left and then pulled Benny inside.
"I got you something to eat" I say throwing him a bag of chips. He excitedly grabbed the bag and smiled "thanks" he said. "Go do your homework and then I'll try to get us some dinner" I say, he nods and walks over to his extremely small room, shutting the door.
I sighed as I opened the door to my room shutting it softly and dropping my bag onto the floor.
I attempted to do some homework spilling the non important things and only doing the stuff the teachers might look

He hands my a white envelope that reads 'monthly bill' in cursive.
I gulp looking down at the letter "Did she not pay it yet?" I ask looking at the letter. "You kidding me? she's never payed it" he says chuckling.
"Oh uh uh what happens if she doesn't pay it?" I ask sounding like a complete idiot, "I'm afraid I would be able to let you stay here if that's the case" he says. "Well we've only been staying here a few months so it can't be that bad" I say, he gives me a sad look before stepping out of the doorway and down the hall.
After he leaves Benny comes out of my room as I angrily tear open the letter looking at the bill... "How much is it?" He asks worriedly. "One thousand" I say gulping down the bile in my throat.
A thousand dollars doesn't seem like a lot to most people but I know for a fact my mother doesn't have that much to spare and neither do I.
Benny looked at me with sad eyes "what will we do?" He asks. "I'm only fifteen a cant get a job yet, mom sure as hell won't pay for it" I mumble to myself. "I don't know Benny, I'll try to talk to mom but we'll be ok" I
He smiled at you, “Yep. It’s fine, though. What do you say we go look for some dinner?”
As I reach the door I fling it open and immediately slam it shut catching my breath. I lean on the door and slide down simultaneously
When I got my first job as a PT aide I met Tali, the woman who would become my mentor and confidant. She was tough as nails with bright red hair, a thick Israeli accent and arms that looked like they were sculpted out of clay. I'll admit, she was the most intimidating woman I had ever met, but she was also very sweet. I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into when I was assigned to her. She had such an unorthodox way of treating patients. It was completely bizarre but also absolutely brilliant.
The first two weeks that I began tracking my spending had very different beginnings and endings. In "Week 1", I did not have a lot of money to spend, so I obviously used my money very sparingly; I spent most of the money on necessities. The reason that I did not have a lot of money that week is because it had almost been two weeks since I had been paid, and I had spent most of my pay check in those previous weeks. So, I ended that week with less than six dollars and pretty much nothing to put into savings. This situation happens to me almost every pay check and it never really phased me until I started putting it on the Excel spread sheet and put a zero dollars in the "Amount to be saved" space. In "Week 2", I wanted to have an amount to
“Yeah! You don’t have to pay for anything, I’ll pay for it myself. For me and Cromwell.” Another long pause echoed in Kevin’s ears as he waited eagerly for his father to answer.
Among other things, I would mention that the reasoning behind motivation is why we tend to say we need to make a dollar buy more by stretching it on the basis that we are in fact living from paycheck to pay check and when the money runs out, it is then harder to make a way in order to pay charges and still be capable. I as well, viewed it to be a serious test when it is only you alone and no one else’s opinion and no one is aiding you with paying your monthly bills it is then you require to make the most of each and every dollar. It is at this point people start to realize individuals unquestionably don’t comprehend or understand what others are going through living from check to check and when a person has to sacrifice some things until they have capacity to stand on two feet again to pay for it. I frequently, have found myself thinking about how I am going to pay next month’s bills and when I look on the Brightside I have cash, but still when I don’t have no cash I start to get
I would tell my medical manager that I wouldn't be able to do that because In so many ways it is just like fraud. Then that would make me responsibly if something was to happen. Then it would make the practice look bad as well as myself. I would report to her boss and let he/she know about the situation. Then I would immediately start looking for another job because I'm already being underpaid and I do not want to commit fraud just to get a decent check. I could not continue to work in a environment like that. This is a decision you should not have to think about because I know that I have worked very hard to get this far and I wouldn't throw it all away for somebody else. As well as thr consequences behind it. I would feel like I have let
“Almost 200 silver,” he smiled, revealing crooked teeth. “And that’s only the first half. Customer promises to pay up after it’s done.”
I asked the MSR if she had any information on their savings accounts. She told me to go online and look it you. "It's the same address I gave you on that business card." She did not ask questions to determine my future needs or offer to follow up. The MSR did not give me any materials to take home with
Ginger thanked him too, then added, “It must’ve cost you a lot of money. It might be a while before we can pay you back.”
“Thank you, but this is way too much. It was only a few hours of work, and you don’t even need to pay me! I enjoyed it,” I said shaking my head and handing her the money back. Suzanne pursed her lips and refused to take it back.
Monday – Wednesday I went to the mall to buy butter and sea salt, but I kept forgetting why I went there in the first place and ended up buying a whole lot other stuff on sale or special offers. I finally wrote what I wanted to buy on a piece of paper, so that when I went back again on Thursday it would by easy to stay focused on the products I needed. Instead of buying just salt and butter, I ended up buying meat and chicken as well even it I didn’t need it. I also went to the pharmacy to buy some new lipstick I saw on a television ad. Yes marketers played a major in most of the purchasing decisions I made this week enabling my purchasing power for much longer than I probably realized.
When I was in an Avenue mall in Kuwait, I saw my girlfriend sitting with someone else at Starbucks, and he was holding her hand, and she was so happy with him. So, I went to them, and I fought with the man how are sitting with my girlfriend. I told him: why are you holding her hand? He said: are you crazy? That is not your business. After that, I said to my girlfriend some bad words that refer to humiliation and insult. She was furious and cry after the sharp words which are like a sword. Then she said: do you know who is this guy? This guy is my brother. I was shocked, and I said: Sorry is a small word for the big mistake I have made. But believe me, the cost of my actions I have heavily paid. Punish me any way you want, but please do not
Have you ever wanted something but you couldn’t afford it? Once I wanted a pair of shoes but, they were very expensive. So, I asked my mother to help me buy them and she said she would split half the price, but I would have to make up the other half. I tried to brainstorm ideas about how to make the money.
I knocked on the hard oak door. Then a serious voice from the inside asked me to enter.
