Salutations Mom and Dad, It has been quite some time since i wrote to you or attempted to reach out to you and as i traveled i had never worked up the piece of mind to write you. But i chose to write to you before i head into the wild, before i cut off contact with this materialistic society, before I live alone for quite some time. My journey to this land I am on has been a long road, and i can see my destination closing in as each day passes on.. Now for why i left, the joy of life comes from new experiences, and the core of a man spirit is to go out and discover those new experiences. As I traveled I have seen plentiful, I have met a handful of colorful individuals that had shown me the different way they live their days. There was this
The 1920s was a prosperous and extravagant time for the United States. It was full of luxury, art, and entertainment. These things along with other contributing factors, like the economy, led to this time being known as the Roaring Twenties. The economy at the time was a great one, one full of higher pay for less work, more goods for less money, and you could even just pay with credit. With all this ‘extra’ money laying around the employment rate was also able to slightly increase, causing us to have one of our lowest unemployment rates in the 1900s. Along with the employment rate, the extra money allowed people to have more time for leisure which caused quite a boom in the entertainment industry. More people were going out to watch movies,
Quite a few moments of time have passed since I wrote to you, and as I was on my journey, I had never achieved the words to reach out to you. Therefore, before I head into the wild, and break away from this materialistic society, I finally find the words to address you. If you’re questioning why I left, the core of a man is to travel and observe original experiences during his travels. And my journey to this land I stand on, has been a joyous trip bearing magnificent tales, but I envision my objective nearing its closure as each day passes on.

Initially, Carlos (aka Charlie) was court ordered for treatment to explore his issues with substance abuse, when he was arrested for driving while intoxicated. During subsequent sessions, Charlie spoke of his early childhood struggles with being accepted by his family and his rebellious behaviors. Currently, Charlie still explores his issues with his self-esteem while he blames others for the way he feels about himself. However, Charlie had expressed feelings of anger towards those around him including his girlfriends, ex-wives, manager, directors, and co-workers proclaiming them all as losers and himself as a “Winner!” He has commented to reporters that he has no anger issues and it is everyone else’s problem with the way he acts not his,
Ever since I was a little girl, I always loved going to work with my Dad. My Dad is the fleet owner of a trucking company in Cabot, AR. I remember when we would pull into the truck yard and take inventory of the 18-wheelers and trailers left on the yard.
Peace, freedom, stability, education, equality, and prosperity: the mere aspirations that every American wishes to achieve. The “dream” our founding fathers wanted every man to obtain. However, what we Americans forget to acknowledge is our own dreams. We are too myopic and are so apprehensive towards failure that we attempt to prevent others from succeeding. Every man desires equality; but where does this leave women? We constantly cast-aside the gender division that is prevalent in our country and dismiss intentions to move towards change. Men exists because of women. Women and men are of one entity: the human being. And we as fellow human beings must realize our place and demand change. But change for what? Change that we are too afraid

Remembering seeing his dad for the last time, Jason flashed back to when he saw his dad's plane take off for Africa. Later that day Jason was watching the news with his mom when he saw that a plane had crashed just off the coast of Africa. Terrified Jason's mom called the airline company to see if that was the flight her husband and Jason's dad was on. With a mournful look on Jason's mom's face she told Jason the horrific news.
Have you ever wondered who these people are that keep you safe everyday? My dad was one of them. He was in the Michigan State Police for twenty-seven years. He has helped save the lives of many people. He started working in the MSP even before he met my mom. He eventually married her and was working nights. He worked everynight to protect us. You. Everyone. Every night, when you were asleep, he was out working. Working to protect you. When he had a kid, my brother Logan, he was still working nights. He had to move from place to place, taking his family with him so he could do his job. When something bad happened, he was there to protect you. Even when you wanted to hide in your house and not come out, he was there to protect you. My dad is an amazing person. This is why my dad is my Michigan Hero.
In their infinite wisdom, NAU have scheduled my health insurance payment for January-May, my “course fees” for the spring term and my first rent and meal plan payments for a week before I get my Student Finance money through. Chloe and I are going to go to the finance office on Monday, explain the situation to them and hope that we can be granted an extension. However, given all the financial guarantees we made to NAU before coming here, neither of us are holding our breaths for leniency (especially not Chloe - we have to the cardiologists today to try and get that sorted). I’m just giving you the heads up in case I need to borrow some money until the loan/grant come through.

When Mommy helped Sarah into her favorite pajamas – of course the denim blue flannel ones with big, patched pockets, and put her to bed, she took her temperature.
The person I am interviewing for this project is my friend Richard’s mom, Mrs. Triplett. He and I have been friend since middle school, and we have an interracial friendship. He is culturally Black, and I am Vietnamese. I decide to interview his mom because I consider us to be different from each other in some key dimension. Unlike me, who am an immigrant to the United States of America, Richard’s family is native to New Orleans. His parents were born in New Orleans and they stayed in New Orleans their whole life. They been through many struggles and have seen many hurricanes. The recipe his mom decided to share with me is red beans and rice.
