Personal Narrative: Shawn Mendes Concert

On the second night of our stay at A.j Ranch we went to the rodeo. A.j Ranch has a lot of property, we had to ride a wagon from our cabin in the woods to the ranch where the rodeo was being held.

A memorable moment has been being a part of my cousins quinceñera. I was a dama and we had 3 different dances. It was memorable, because I got to meet a lot of different people. We danced to different genre of music. Being a part of her quinceñera was memorable because I got to meet a lot of people from different backgrounds. I felt very excited being a part of my cousins special day.

First, the entrance turnstiles click and clank, and then a hallway of noise bombards me. All the fans voices coalesce in a chorus of sound, rising to a humming clamor. The occasional, “Programs, get your programs, here!” Jumps out through the hum to get my attention. I navigate my way through the crowded walkways of the stadium, moving to the right of some people, to the left of others, and I eventually find the section number where my seat is located. First, I walked through the gates and smelled the great food and could see the amazing field. Then, we had to find the suite where my friend’s dad’s business had bought for their employees for the game. We had to climb a ton of stairs to get to our seats because they were way high

“Why Kid?” said, my grandfather. I replied, “simple, not everyone can do it, that why I love it. I love the grind, I love the self-torture, and of course the leading reason I look ripped in a singlet. Wrestling is one of the most demanding sports there is. The dedication, hard work, dieting, endless practices, and the everlasting season. Don't forget sectionals, then finally state. I can't tell you how many parties that I had to turn down during the season because I didn't want to be tempted to binge eat. The countless Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner I've had to give up. I felt like a dog watching everyone eat their honey roasted turkey.

We then walked some more and we decided to get a drink and snack. We went from booth to booth. We saw a chocolate strawberry shop and got some lemonade to go with it. We went and sat under the pavilion and ate. We went and got on this huge ship like swing with a unicorn on the end. I cannot remember what the name of it was now.

So, together we went back around the building to find the section where our seats were placed. We sat two rows behind the Toronto dugout.

It was a hazy morning, It was the opening day of rifle season. We had just sat down and we were getting all settled in, We were hunting on state land just outside of Tawas Mi. We had been hunting for about 3 Hrs and we were getting hungry so we decided to head to town and stop at a restaurant and pick up some cheeseburgers for us to eat for lunch.

Walking out into the giant stadium felt unreal. There were rows of chairs set up in the middle of it all. I approached my white foldout chair and took my seat. I had never felt so small. Once I was seated, I turned around and took a look at everyone sitting in the stands. Even though there were hundreds of people there, my eyes immediately went to my family. Everyone was there, my parents, sister and brother, even cousins that I had not talked to in years. They were all there for me on my day. So that is when I decided to be there for

We all took our pictures and of course had pictures of us hugging him and talking to him, which are the best pictures to get when I meet someone famous. The meet and greet had finished and we all said our goodbyes as we left the venue to meet with our parents. That was my first concert and that was one I would never forget. The best part was making friends with Payton and Katie, I just had a good feeling about them and I knew we were going to be friends for a long time.

Life is an accumulation of one’s experiences. It is, in many aspects, similar to a well filled with water. Those who have lived longer, sought knowledge, stayed active, and exploited their advantages have wells that are brimming to the point of overflowing. Others who are still young, lazy, impeded by circumstance, or secluded, tend to have shallow, verging on parched, wells. Before last summer, my well of experiences was leaning towards the latter, but spending time with my family and friends at Niagara Falls, Six Flags, and a Twenty One Pilots concert has deepened my spring considerably.

I possess a diverse set of leadership skills these skills have been tested many times throughout my young adult life. At UT Austin I plan to continue taking leadership roles that better me as an individual and better the people around me alike. My main leadership role has come my junior and senior seasons of wrestling. I took on a leadership role as a junior because our senior class was very small. Now as a senior, I became a captain. My main responsibilities as leader on the team is to set a good example for the underclassmen while also keeping them accountable to their word with their actions. The faint sound of music slowly becomes clearer approaching the stadium. The sound of exciting screams and singing lingers in the air. It is every millennial teenage girl's fantasy: a One Direction concert. A concert can be entertaining and exhilarating because one gets to see a favorite artist and experience something new.
