Someone's everlasting bliss is somewhere or something that could make them happy forever. Someone's eternal torture is somewhere or something that frightens them or where they can’t stand being. So, with that being said, my everlasting bliss would be being at an amusement park with friends, and my eternal torture would be being in a graveyard at night all alone. One day on a saturday morning, probable around 10 or 11 o’clock, I asked my dad if I could go to Speedy Park for the rest of the day with a couple of friends and he said, “sure, just be back by 11:00.” Speedy Park is a local amusement park that everyone loves to go to. It got its name because there’s so many fast and insanely steep rides, the founders of the park thought “What better name than Speedy, Speedy Park?” But anyways, around 12:00 I went to pick up Ron, Rick, Sane, short for Sanchelli, and Dave. They were like the only people i talked to in the neighborhood. So, after I picked them up we all walk down to the park, it was like a 30 to 40 minute walk. When we arrived, it felt as if it was the first time I’ve ever been there, even though we been here like 100 times. The smell of the funnel cakes and other scents in the air, and the sounds of happiness coming from every direction never gets old. So, we just start walking around, getting on rides and eating, you know having a good time like friends should. But soon, at around 5:30, something dramatic happens, all the laughter and talking and all the scents in the air stop, the roller coasters stop, and there’s …show more content…
But in spite of all the negatives that came from this nightmare, one positive came from it. I learned something, I learned that you shouldn’t take the things that make you happiest in life for granted because it could all be gone and change suddenly, in the blink of an
Life is a journey filled of many surprises, and while one day you will lose 5 bucks, the other day you will find 10. Whether you broke your leg, you got the flu, or you got a bad grade, I believe that we can always make the best of every situation.
My sense of security is screamingly absent. Their main attraction in the park is called, “dragster,” shooting out to 500 feet in the sky, with a straight angle going down. My friends have been on my tail about not being scared and not worrying about anything. The thing is, is that the roller coasters go so high and fast, with no guard rails on the sides. That places deadly snap shots in my head. While looking around in my surroundings, seeing huge bulging rocks, a beautiful sky blue lake with swans swimming and floating mindlessly. We overheard the staff members that were running this killer ride talking about shutting the ride down. That brought shock into my eyes. I was nervous once again. It seemed hopeless, as if they were going to shut down the ride because we were the next ones in line. My friends wanted to go on this ride so bad that we had waited over an hour and a half in this line. During the last five minutes we had become very paranoid. “Wouldn’t it be funny if those brakes at the top weren’t working?” Joe said, laughing at something that wasn’t funny at all. “Just shut up,” was the only thing I thought of. All of a sudden we hear this arcade type noise and lights were flashing. The ride had opened up again. The crowd was yelling and chanting. Everyone was happy.
On the morning of June 17, 2016, I woke up with a smile on my face like it was Christmas morning. I launched myself out of bed to take a quick shower before I was to meet my friends to leave for Daytona Florida. We planned this trip months ahead of time when we found out there was a truck meet on the weekend of June 18th and 19th. The truck meet we went to was where anyone who owned a pickup truck could come down to Daytona Florida and drive on the beach to get to mingle and entertain one another for the weekend. We met at a local gas station in Morgantown Kentucky at eight that morning. There was eleven of us total going on the trip, my father, Robbie Henderson, my friend Seth Gaskey and his father, Jimmy Gaskey, my
It was the last games of the baseball season. We had are worse pitcher pitching for our team. And they had an ok pitcher pitching. We got to the semi finals and our coach was going nuts. I was in the locker room getting ready for the game and my teammates Austin and Tevan were right next to me also getting ready they were one of the best players on the team.
learned that change is okay but always happens even when it's not the best state of
Once upon a time, 2 summers ago, my brother, Jesus , and I were asking to my Mom and Dad to let us play baseball in the backyard. After 2 days of (not) literal crying, our parents let us play. Many days later Jesus and I thought “ How about we play a Home Run Derby over our garage.” We both agreed to do it. Jesus pitched one, foul ball, he pitches a second one, home run, Jesus pitches one last pitch and, CRASH! I had broke my neighbor’s window. Jesus ran inside. I hid in the garage until my parents asked Jesus where I was. My parents still had not found out about the window, they were looking for me because I had to do chores. I felt so lucky and felt even luckier when my neighbor wasn’t home.
“At a boy Ty!” He just hit a home-run. Then I came up to the plate and hit a home-run right after Ty hit one. Ty and I were so excited. The day before that Jaxon hit one. We all called ourselves the home-run squad. It was awesome to hit two home runs back to back. The feeling is amazing when you are running around the bases.I almost sprinted all of the bases. I was so excited when I came up to bat the next time I thought I was going to hit another home run and I was very close. I hit it perfectly and it hit the wall.I was so happy after that game. After the game I did a back hand spring. We even had a party after the games. I got MVP for 4 of the 5 games. I am a pitcher a shortstop and a third-basemen. I am even a sub
Baseball has always been one of my greatest interests. I've played baseball since I was 5 years old and have always been a leader on the field. I began a program called IAD-TLA, Institute of Athletic Development - Training Leaders through Athletics, my freshman year to further my leadership skills. This program really helped me focus on my goals and led me to extreme hard work and dedication to any goals I had, even excluding athletics. I continued working hard for the next 2 years, and became a Varsity captain by my junior year. I continued this into the summer where I led my team to an undefeated season. Two of my strongest qualities are my leadership abilities and my work ethic and both have brought me so far in athletics and life.
I’ve realized in my seventeen years in life that no matter what situation you're in to ignore the bad and find the good. Living a life with negativity has major consequences on you. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. I've learned many life lessons in my life. Also to continue to learn and to stay positive, to use my knowledge, and to pass on my positivity to others to further their success and mine.
To start off the trip to Rapid, we would get in the car, and drive to a Cenex to fill up on snacks, drinks, and gas. My best friend would get Root Beer and Pringles. I would get M&M’s and Cherry Sprite. We would get in the car, after we filled it up with gas, put on our favorite music, and start the second stretch of the trip.
If you happen to be at an IVC baseball game next semester, be sure to be on the lookout for our very own pitcher, Steven Panela. Or as his teammates call him, Panelita, for he used to be the smallest guy on the team. He played for the De Anza Bulldogs and helped take them to the CIF semifinals. Even though they lost in the semifinals, I have full confidence that we will be seeing great things from him and the IVC team this upcoming season. I say that because that same year that him and Calexico went to the semifinals, he was awarded Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-League for pitching.
When I first started my Instagram for my blog, I was shocked to see the amount of teachers on Instagram! I knew obviously about Pinterest and TeachersPayTeachers, but I never realized how much teachers were utilizing Instagram, Facebook and more! A few months ago I decided to start writing this blog to document my journey to becoming a special education teacher. After, a few weeks later I decided to start an instagram for my blog to meet up with other people like me that share a love for SpEd! Within days I had over a 100 followers! Not only did I have followers, but there were future teachers and teachers commenting on my photos showing their support! I received comments like "I love your enthusiasm for SpEd!", "Keep up the good work, so important
I the one thing that I really badly wanted to do was to go to the skate park. I mean, who doesn’t want to go there? I had walked down to the end of the neighborhood when suddenly I just froze all over. I thought that everyone would see me and then tell my parents. I wasn’t allowed to go anywhere except school, the store, and my friends’ houses without their permission. I thought that if someone told my parents, then that would leave me grounded. I also thought that I could get hurt at the park and then I would have to settle everything with my parents. Plus, none of my siblings were with me. If they were, then I could’ve gone and no one would’ve cared. I pondered over this thinking that I would get in trouble. I would have fun, but I would
We arrive at the park at around 11 PM, looking to meet up with our dealer. We call him Cheeseburger, because of his hefty and big frame. We texted Cheeseburger about hooking us up in the park 20 minutes ago, so he should be here at any second. Jonathan and I were sitting patiently at the bench where we would always meet Cheeseburger, but he wasn’t here yet. I guess he was running late, so we still sat there at the bench in the empty looking park. It was pitch black, all we could see were lamp posts and each other. The park felt extremely eerie, but Jonathan and I still were ambitious about getting the good stuff from Cheeseburger. Loud breezes and sounds of leaves moving added to the sketchy environment that we were in. Suddenly, we see a
It was just your average beautiful Saturday morning. Waking up that morning I had the intention that it would be just a good, chill, laid back type of day. I go to unlock my phone and notice my phone going crazy with texts. My friends all decided to go to a concert. Not any ordinary concert, the Common Kings concert. Common Kings was the type of band that made the feel good type of music. Every time I would turn on their station my heart fills with happiness. With no time to think, I immediately go to check their site if it was sold out show. My heart pumping with excitement, I go to see that there are still tickets available to purchase! I quickly inform my dad about this and he seemed to be just as excited as I was.
