This plan took place in 8th grade year, I was a new student at Sunland elementary. It was around September when this event occurred. I learned to not try to impress others making bad decisions that could lead to big trouble. The plan was being made. It was at the end of 3rd period and the room smelled like coffee. The day seemed to be going slower than every other day, I would glance around and see my fellow peers asleep on their desks, wishing I could do that but my desk was near the teacher’s desk. Nobody was doing their work and the students who weren’t asleep wanted to play a game and I wanted to play a game to pass the time as well. We were first on our phones searching for ideas but then I had a plan. It seemed funny and like a good
On April 08, 2016, I arrived to my designated school, Cypress Point Elementary School. Upon my arrival to Cypress Point Elementary School, I went to the main office of the school to see the assistant principal, Mrs. Dewitt. She could not make it to school on time, due to her having car troubles. The secretary told me she would notify her that I arrived and to set me. As I waited for Mrs. Dewitt, I noticed quite a few students having to call home due to violating the school dress code. Mainly it was more girls violating the dress code than boys. I am assuming from what I saw, the children only wore clothes that they saw the adults wore, or whatever their parents picked out for them. During this time, I noticed a little Asian or Hispanic boy being brought to school but he was supposed to be at home due to suspension. The secretary asked him “Why are you at school?” This young man told the secretary that his mother brought him to school. The secretary informed him that he needs to call his mother so that she
Prompt: Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
When I started Unity High School I felt a little nervous because I didn't knew nobody in the school. In the begging of the first class I was quit and I didn´t talk to noone. I also didn't knew nobody in the class so I could tell them if they could help me on the problem that I need help. I was shy to talk to the teachers and and answer question or ask them for help when I needed help. During lunch time I just knew one person that came from my middle school. So I just hand out with him most the time. But, then weeks and months past I began to have more friends and I was not shy or nervous to ask for help in class. I wanted to join the soccer team of the school but I was to nervous to do it. But, now I know that I´m going to join the soccer team
My eyes repeatedly peered to the stands which had a crowd of at least four hundred students eagerly waiting as we were warming up. Observing the crowd I noticed the left side of the field was full of students in orange Parkview High School shirts while to my right students were in purple Brookwood High School shirts. It was the Lacrosse Region Championships between Parkview, the school I played for, and, Brookwood High School. Both of our schools were ranked top ten for biggest rivalries, we knew it would be a fight to win the most significant game for us.
Clear Lake High School, I read that from my window car, the dance class is waiting for me. I roll my eyes, yes, it is those days when the only thing that you would lean at the pillow and look at the wall thinking and how your future is going. I heard my mom's music, halleluiah, my mom has goods likes at the music. I stared to mutter the lyrics when it came to my mind. "I find a new reason for me, to changes who I used to be". Finally, the red-light changes to green and my mom left me at the mean door of the place that is close to the martyrdom. I stared to walk across the hallways. Looking at al the trophies that my school has. I had to admit how cool my school is.
It just made things easier for the bullies and things worse for me. Louis and I remained in Wildcats East. I was afraid and sometimes I never wanted to go back. I thought the bullying would have stopped. Now that I am not in school anymore, I feel safer, not threatened or bullied by anyone much anymore. Pretty sad I tell you how school life had to turn out the way it did.
Vividly, I can remember walking through the high school doors for the first time as a freshman with shaky legs and a nervous heartbeat. The school was a jungle of wide, shiny hallways filled with lumbering seniors who I thought were going to knock my books down on Freshman Friday. However, time has passed, and now I find myself to be the tall and “scary” senior. As I ponder about the last four years I have spent at Little Falls Community High School, I can not help but realize how much I have changed for the better. As I have matured, I have gleaned that beauty does not come through makeup and clothing brands, but rather through processing a good heart. Also, I have changed my career and college plans after high school, and I know that I will
It was 7:00 in the morning when we arrived at the Johnston City High School. Once everyone arrived at the high school, we got on the bus and headed off to Benton. As we stepped foot on the bus, we all sat there quietly, nervous about the results of this game. This was the game that determined whether or not we went on to state. Coach Simon and Coach Shane gave us one of their what we like to call "before the game warm-up talks". We were all nervous of course, but we were all determined to win this game. We had been looking forwards to winning regionals and going to state the whole season and that day was the day that we gave us the opportunity to go to state. After the thirty minute bus ride, we finally got to Benton and once we got there,
For two years I begrudgingly walked into Fuller Middle School, sometimes staying home because I had a ‘headache,’ my home, as well as other places I was always resentful, pissed off, quick tempered, and just downright rude. I was a typical middle schooler going through family changes. I wore band tees and ripped skinny jeans to every event my mother would let me--including to school, I constantly violated dress coded until I found my way around authority and the policy, listened to heavy metal, colored my eyeliner on until I looked like a panda, and generally tried to make myself appear unapproachable. That’s when my mom began dating the man who I would eventually call my first lifeline.
My heart pounded against my ribs. My throat was dry, but I had no one to talk to through the harrowing experience that I had just endured. My backpack not only weighed down my body, but also my morale. I looked around, but there was nobody in sight. Purposefully twisted metal and bright green trees encompassed me. I knew where I was. But I was lost.
The warm breeze blows past me as I open the door to the Sweetwater Middle School. Shouts and hoots of excitement about the New Year came from behind me as I speak amid my social circle. It was going to be a wonderful year with delightful students and teachers. By the end of the year I knew to have been mistaken to think it would work out for me.
Out of the 19 years I have been blessed to be on this earth, I can honestly say that my most rewarding moment was the day graduated Mansfield Timberview High School. Hearing my family cheer me on, getting my diploma and shaking hands with the board of administration, and beating our class statistics, is what this day a very memorable day.
It did not go as planned, at all. I felt like people were tired and didn’t want to do this, due to the lack of emotion. People broke down. We had a low number of people coming up with a plan, to the number of people sitting back and waiting to be told what to do. What was not helpful was the fact kids went back to their old ways of shouting and yelling their ideas. Our objective was to move a stack of six tires on a pole and move them to another pole. The rules this time were: They had to be in color order, certain ones could only go on top of other ones, and everybody only got 6 turns to move the tires. I personally I was one of the sick back and watch personnel, but, I wish I had helped to come up with an idea. Part of our problem was that we were all hungry because it was right next to lunch and nobody was paying
It was my freshman year in high-school, and it was the last term and semester of the school year. My English teacher at the time, Mrs. Lemaster, gave my class the last English project. She revealed to the class that we had a Romeo and Juliet project to attend to for the last weeks of school. Mrs. Lemaster handed out the assignment with options on the paper on what we could do. I ended up selecting the board assignment. My task with the board assignment was to decorate it and sway people to attend my Romeo and Juliet make-believe play. The reason why I chose this topic to talk about is because It was the end of the school, and I was at my wit’s end with the class. I didn’t have the grade that I wanted, so I told myself, “hey, you are going to
The next day I sat next to my colleagues and suggested the possibility of my little adventure tonight. To say they were ecstatic would be an understatement. They were practically delirious from sheer joy, well everyone except Tompkins, the biggest goody-two-shoes in the school. I sometimes wonder why I hang out with him. Yet, after persistent nagging we were able to convince him to be our look out.
