Personal Narrative: The City Of Sydney

On 06/19/17, a t12:00pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 3251 Miriam Drive South on an injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog. I arrived at the location and was advised by The Columbus Division of Police (CPD) that the victim is being transported to Mount Carmel West Hospital (793 W State St) for her injuries and dog owner resides at the above location. I exited my vehicle and approached the dog owner. I spoke to dog owner Alex Kriglowitz and his wife. I asked Mr. Kriglowitz what transpired. He explained he was mowing his lawn and opened the side fence to mow the side yard. His dog was in the backyard. Mr. Kriglowitz completed mowing and forgot to close the gate. In the small city of Harvill, there were a group of investigators. The six of them named Willy, Mary, Shawn, twins, Jojo and Carol, and I, Hubert. We solved many crimes though the one where had recently started was an interesting and puzzling one. We were the only ones qualified who could actually solve a case. There was a killer amuck.

The day I moved from Rockwall to Crandall was a day I’ll never forget. It was a strange couple of days. The day we moved was extremely saddening.

World War 1 changed the world around it. More men fought than one could comprehend. World War 1 almost destroyed an entire generation of men. The battlefield for Australians were lined with trenches filled with disease, pests and the fallen where they had medical aid. They experienced traumas not yet known commonly at all. The war was not embellished for its inhumanity in its time but as we see now the men and women who helped with the war effort lived with fear of death, disease and infection.

I witnessed my cousins boyfriend corpse lying on my neighbors lawn. It was a humid summer night around 3:30 when I peeked through my window and saw my devastated cousin sobbing uncontrollably on my decaying porch. Being from East chicago, Indiana has transformed me into the person I am today.

Today, we reached The Dalles. Nate told us we have two choices. Either we can float down the river, or we can go around Mt. Hood. We talked it over, and almost everyone agrees we should go around. The city of Chicago has been displayed as a dangerous city in which all residents are affiliated with drugs, gangs, and misconduct of firearms. Whether someone fits into this stereotype or not, is normally based on their surroundings and their interactions with others. Growing up in Gage Park, named one of the worst neighborhoods, falling into this stereotype and becoming affiliated with drugs, guns, and gangs, would not be too hard for someone to do. However, I have lived in Gage Park my whole life and have not fallen into the status quo. I have had family members and friends fall into this realm of unpleasantness and watching them become another wrong kind of statistic is upsetting. One of my best friends, Sydney Lane, is a girl who had lived in Colorado Springs, CO her whole life and when she graduated last spring, she decided to take a gap year. We had discussed our mutual interest in traveling, but we were not sure about how to find the opportunities. However, she took the initiative to become a part of multiple programs and go completely out of her comfort zone. People would not seek for freedom unless, they do not have enough freedom, or they are

Many would say that fate and free will are two opposing ideas. Though from a philosophical standpoint, they could be the same thing. Maybe free will has an affect on fate, or fate on free will. Or perhaps, everything is a self-fulfilling prophecy, where one believes in free will and acts accordingly, only to fulfill his own fate. In reality, anything that occurs could be considered fate, and not a result of free will, despite that only free will has tangible evidence of causation; choices made.

I have written many essays since I was in middle school yet most of my writing was not that important besides for a grade. Yet there is one piece of writing I wrote that change my life and felt that it had an important impact to The City of Chicago. My teacher during that time wanted the class to enter in a citywide competition, which is called “Do The Write Thing”. It is a way for students to voice their opinions on how to stop the violence in Chicago. I wanted to help reduce the violence in Chicago since many youths are being killed in the streets every single day. In my paper, I mainly focused on three body paragraphs. The american suburbs are a valuable community for families. Some would debate that they are the best place to raise a family. They can provide a safe, loving, and nourishing place for a child to grow up. On the other hand they provide a sheltered, unexposed, place to grow up. Suburbs are places with community and family and are a very important part of today's society and culture. Although suburbs seems like such a great place to live their are still so many problems within them and a huge lack of true christianity.
