I hide in his car laying down in the back seat. I hear his footsteps coming and then the key in the drivers door. He opens it and some light from the street lamps flood in but he still doesn't see me. Once he sits down I take the metal wire in my hands, holding it at each end, and wrap it around his neck. I pull tight so that he can't bring his head forward, its stuck against the headrest.
Since elementary school I have exhibited a talent for writing. What started out as mere ten page stories about cats hunting mice or Greek Gods turning people into blob fish expanded into publishing a four hundred page long summer camp murder mystery as an eBook with my friend Henry in eighth grade. Over the years I have become more passionate about my writing, and over the years my grammar and writing style have grown tremendously. Looking back at the book I helped write in eighth grade I can’t help but cringe at the mistakes we missed and dull language we used. If I had written the eBook at the level I am now it would have been much longer, extremely detailed, and correct grammar wise. I realize the story could be leagues better, so I’m currently
When you think of Austin, Texas, you think of music, food, and the Capitol. There’s the infamous 6th street, all the barbecue you could ever dream of, and being inside the Capitol is, in fact, incredibly beautiful.
As I sit in the chair at my desk, I listen to the music from library. I have many thoughts in my head, and I decide I want to draw something. As I get ideas, I pick up a utensil, and then I start to create shapes. It takes multiple tries to get it to the way I want it to look, so I keep trying. But then I compare both drawings, which one looks better? Should I choose this one?
I met a kid in my grade, Kenny, he lived one house over from me. We became friends and hung out all the time. We’d ride the school bus home after school and then play in my backyard, usually football or knocking the black walnuts out of the trees and pegging each other with them. Normal boy stuff. He was at my house all the time, after school, overnights, first thing in the morning on Saturdays. For my 13th birthday, my uncle gave me a green iPod, it was an awesome present and in my favorite color; I had been begging my parents for one. A few months later, my iPod went missing. My mother and I tore apart my bedroom, at first we were sure I had lost it in my mess of a room. I was so upset, it was one of my favorite things in the world, filled with music and games that gave me a little escape from my parents and crazy brother. Pretty soon, I realized we were probably not going to find it. It wasn’t there, and I never took it out of the house. A few days later, I found out from a different buddy in our neighborhood that Kenny stole the iPod from my house, from my closet! I was so mad, but really I felt totally let down by Kenny. And of course, he had started avoiding me. I just couldn’t trust him again, he was obviously ashamed; so we started going our separate ways. That next summer Kenny disappeared from our neighborhood and I haven’t seen or heard of him
The outside of my mask represents what I show or represent the world. The blue on my mask represent my calm and relaxed thoughts. Several people have told me that I seem relaxed all the time. Also, the blue represents positive thoughts, since I seem to be always positive outside. The eyes are closed also because I looked relaxed and calmed. The zipper symbolizes how I am introverted and shy. I would not talk unless you talk to me. My archetype is the caregiver, I do love taking care of other people more than me. These are the personas I show the world.
Last sunday, I went to Makers Fair in San Mateo. It was surprisingly really fun. I when to Makers Fair with my mom, and she enjoyed it as well. When I first, came in, I saw tons of food, people, and the dancing robot. While we were there we saw a man riding a piece of wood with a small wheel underneath, we learned about food, saving the environment, and how a machine can tell how someone is joyful. Because I learned so much, I will share with you my top places.
In my hands lay an object that appears in the shape of a horse-shoe. I stare at it as if it was a horrible grade on a test. With haste, I barge into the master bedroom with the object in my hands.
What a day it was, it was an overcast type of day. Camden Ohio was the setting of this historical day. Both teams knew it was going to an all-out dog fight. A little bit of history between the Walsh Cavaliers and the Alderson Broaddus Battlers. The past two years the games ended with a one point spread. With us Battlers always coming up short. The first year we lost in overtime and we had chances to win but we could never finish. So with that first lost began our out of state rivalry. The second year I played a key part during that game. During my second year of playing lacrosse, I earned the starting faceoff spot. During mid-season, our first chance of a win came again, as we hosted the Cavaliers from Walsh University.
Sir please I just need to find my son, I’ll cooperate in whatever way you need me too. You have to find him, he’s my only child. I don’t know what I will do. He’s just a little boy.
Phillip became really scared. He panicked and did the first thing that came to mind, which was call the cops. The dispatcher immediately sent out a call to the officers, three cars showed up in my driveway with lights and sirens on. Only my father was home though. He had no idea what was going on when he first saw the lights, he became scared. The first words out of their mouths were, “Is your daughter here? Is your daughter okay?”. My father had no idea how to respond, he was confused. The officer repeated the questions, and my father was able to stutter out the words that I was fine. The officer asked him again if I was home, but my father had to respond that I was not home. The next question was the officer asking my father where I was. I was on the east side of Birmingham at a football game with the band, which clearly implied that I was okay. The officer got onto his radio and got in touch with the Student Resource Officer, Guppy, at the game. He immediately came looking for me, but he could only find one of the band directors. So, he had to tell him what was going on so they could pull me out of the stands. Brandon, one of the band directors, found my mother. Brandon had to explain everything to her about what was going on and why Guppy was looking for me. I saw her almost fall to the ground, she immediately started to cry. At which point, I knew something was going on, and it wasn’t not
Last year, in my summer vacation I used to work in a candy factory. It is very big candy factory. I used to work with Canadian and Portuguese people. I was enjoying my work because there people were very nice and helpful. The thing was they had provided me 12 hours shift. It was such a long shift. There I had to carry heavy candy trays and arrange in an order. Also, in packaging line, I had to package all the boxes very quickly and fill the candies in boxes. It was very hard work. In my 12 hours sift, I used to stand for minimum 11 hours excluding break time. In my vacation time, I used to work every day over there. I was getting very tired. I was feeling pain in my back and sometimes in my heel also. That time I was
Throughout our life, we have plenty of relationships. Some good, some lousy, but we each learn something new from a relationship. We learn to grow and love ourselves and that person. As our growth and love increase, our relationships deepen and become stronger than they have been before. Yes, there are also arduous times in relationships, too. But if we persevere through it and stick to what we know is right, then everything turns out fine. All these good characteristics that we find in our relationships, can stem from our one relationship with Christ. Christ teaches us how to be loving and merciful and as we deepen our relationship with Him; our other relationships become happier and stronger.
It's been 8 days since the last sighting of my son but being the father I am I can't give up after all my son was trained to survive of the bare minimum of resources I'm still not sure what happened but I've been hearing and seeing strange things a couple miles back I thought I heard something like laughing but it came from all directions and all I saw for miles was red and orange sand
The world exists to be explored. I moved to the United States in the April of 2015, finally getting the opportunity to explore the world. I was born and raised in India, and after living in the same city for over fifteen years, I was itching to travel, experiment, and explore. While feeling completely intimidated by the sheer size of the country, moving here was liberating, in a way. I could meet more people, eat different food, and visit new places.
