The Ride My friend Clayton and I went to my aunts Linda’s house. Her and her husband George told me I could ride their golf cart. My uncle then told me how the controls worked. Then he drove with me to see if understood what the controls were. Afterwards, I rode around with Clayton having fun until he said, “I have to use the restroom.” I found my aunt’s and uncle’s house so Clayton could use the restroom. When we got there he said, “never mind I can hold it in.” So I was about to hit the road with the petal to the ground when I hit my uncle’s mailbox. I jumped out and saw it was snapped in two. I had asked Clayton to drive forward to get
“It goes upside down!” I said. My sister was telling me about a roller coaster ride in Disney World after our parents had broken the news that we were going the summer of my fourth grade year. The idea of going to a park was amazing, but the terrifying part was my slight fear of the fast roller coasters that my family enjoys. My parents looked at me, and I smiled with uncertainty. But on the contrary I started to feel a faint feeling of ambition because maybe I could overcome my fear.
Around two or three years ago my family and I had to move houses. Moving was sudden and we didn't know it was going to happen. This made moving out and into the other house a lot harder. Since we were moving so fast somethings we just decided to leave behind with the person that was still living there. We got most things with us but one thing that we did leave back in the old place was our living room tv. Since we had just moved and my family isn't rich my mom said we couldn't go get a new one for some time. This sucked because I used the tv a lot for watching show, movies, and playing games just like the rest of my family did. Having a tv wasn't something we needed at all but it was always something to do when you were bored and there was no other things to do. Another big thing was my grandma had just gotten us a new playstation 3 and now we weren't able to used it at all because there was no television. Not having a tv was bummer for me and I thought it was a huge problem when it really wasn’t.
Moving, for many people, can be a difficult process. A lot of the time kids have to switch schools and deal with the challenge of making new friends and getting used to everything new. Since my parents divorced when I was five years old, I can remember living in many different homes. My mother would rent out a place, live there for a few months, then meet a new guy and move on. For years, I hoped to myself that my mom and dad would get back together, like Nick and Elizabeth Parker from “The Parent Trap.” I knew, however, deep down that such a thing just couldn’t happen. My four siblings and I were dragged along, forced to go with the flow and adapt as quickly as possible. Up till she married her second husband, Tony. As young as I was,
The horse ride changed mike's opinion of his horse and himself because at first the was some trouble with getting him on the horse, but once he got on he started to enjoy himself and realize that just because he has a disability he doesn't have to limit himself.according to paragraph 1 it states how he felt or his opinion of getting on the horse. "No, stop it, I don't want to!" I yelled. Some of the horses in front of the barn looked at me, and all of the people stared, but I didn't care. Not being a sweet little angel like the disabled kids they show on TV is what gives my life meaning. I raised the volume of my voice enough to send birds flapping out of the shade trees. "You have no right! Isn't this supposed to be a free country?".
I am a piece of clay, just as every person is. We are not just any kind of clay, though, we’re that special molding clay that never dries out. Because of this, we are constantly molded by almost everyone and everything surrounding our lives. At the beginning of life, we are molded by the hands of loving parents, but once we leave that safe-place, we are on our own. At that point, we can be tossed, slammed, poked at, and sometimes even ripped apart. One important event in my life that molded me and has helped make me the person I am today was my first roller coaster ride. Amusement rides don’t usually change a person’s life, but the first time I went on a roller coaster, I found myself stepping off the ride as an entirely different person. Most people conquer their fear of heights or fast-moving vehicles on thrill rides, but instead, I conquered the one thing most people are terrified to face. Something that’s more horrific than monsters and demons, and that is yourself. For me, the ride was more of a journey than anything. From the beginning to the end, I learned a
Have you ever noticed how some cars seem to be smiling when you pass them on the road? From around age 7, I always told my mother that cars made by Mazda appeared to be smiling at me! Years later, to my surprise, my mother had purchased a 2011 Mazda 3 for my sixteenth birthday. Shortly after, I pointed out the smiling face that I had always noticed as a child. She finally agreed with me that the car appeared to be smiling due to its oddly shaped grille cover. The human-like faces it makes is not the unique characteristics of my car; it has a unique interior layout, an oddly shaped stain, and a dent in the back bumper from an unforgettable day!
So one day I had a friend named Kahlin Orso. He came over to my house to play for a little while. So after a while we got bored so we went on a fourwheeler ride through a 30 acre grass field. So we were riding along and out of nowhere the frontend just takes a big nose dive into a big creek bed and it got stuck. So we didn’t think it was that big of a deal and we tried to get it unstuck and we tried for about 20 minutes but we didn’t get it so we called Kahlin’s grandma because that's who he was staying with that weekend so we called her for help but she couldn’t help cause she was not at the house. Then I knew if I called my dad we would get in trouble so we tried to get it out for a few more minutes but again we failed.
My road starts in Iraq, where I started playing soccer. Soccer has and still is, a big part of my life. I started it after my uncle died. He loved soccer and was the best uncle ever. My father did soccer and so is my brother at FFC. 2 years in soccer at a game is where I first broke a bone, my right leg. I threw up and then fainted. I spend about a week in the hospital. My road keeps moving to Jordan, more specifically in Amman. I have stopped playing soccer after I broke my leg. So I got into karate. I began karate about the 2nd month living in Jordan. I picked it up very quickly.I earned my black belt. One tragic day at a competition, the same leg broke again.
The hot sun beat down on us as we patiently waited for the line we were waiting in to move up. I stood silently next to my cousins, listening to them as they conversed excitedly. We were waiting to get on the MindBender, and it would be my youngest cousin Caleb’s first time on an actual roller coaster. At first, he didn’t want to get on, but changed his mind once he heard that his cousins would be riding with him. My cousins Kennedi and Trip, my brother Rudy, Caleb, and I were the only ones brave enough to get on.
We were walking down the street at the Universal Orlando theme park during spring break when my mom suddenly stopped. I was confused why she did, but I stopped too. She then turned and pointed at a building with the words ‘The Mummy’ written in large letters on the front, with a warning sign on the side of the main entrance. “Let’s go on that ride!”, my mom exclaimed. I gulped. I had never been on an actual, full-sized roller coaster before. I mean, sure, I had been on a small kiddy one at Coney Island, and a water ride at Sea World, but that was where my experience ended. “Ok, fine”, I reluctantly replied to my mom, sensing her eagerness. We then walked up to the building and I read the sign warning people to ride at their own risk, which
Experiencing this roller coaster ride with y It has been a light and dark situation but all in all a very good learning experience for the both of us in learning one’s self. At the end of the day what is truth is the love that we share together and bringing us out of the darkness and into the light it has been a very trying situation sometimes I wondered if we would ever come out of this darkness. But then the light comes on and we understand why we go through what we go through together. We feel a sigh of relief with understanding. As for giving me that disconnection because without it I wouldn’t be saying this on paper. So here I am preparing myself for what I do best with the help and love from Larry.
Once there was a bus, with all the high schoolers from the school. They were all heading up to Niagara Falls for their annual field trip. After about twenty minutes of driving, the school’s valedictorian, Jason, decided to strike up a conversation with his life long friend, Parker, who happened to be the starting wide receiver for the varsity football team. Jason greeted Parker with a modest, “Hey man, how have you been?”
Think back to the time when you were really young. When you saw big roller coasters, and wanted to ride them all. The roller coasters looked big, and you thought everyone would think that you were tough if you rode one...if only you were able too. Unfortunately, you were too small in height to be able to go on any of the ‘‘big kid’’ rides because who would think you were strong if you only rode little baby roller coaster….
You 're father moved everything I didn 't want you kids messing with anyway! Now go play! Or hey, here 's a thought, maybe you could go help your brother for once.” Whatever my aunt needed my mom 's attention for must have been big, but it worked in my favor. I was rushing to put things back in the box when I noticed a few weird items. They were baby things with the name Brendan on them and a blank baby book with the name engraved on the front. Without realizing I was thinking out loud, I said “Who is Brendan?” At this point, my sister was already back up the stairs to harass me again. She replied “Your twin, that died!” I shot my head back at her, eyes and mouth wide open, then picked my mouth up off the floor long enough to say, “WHATTTTTT?” “Shhhh! Come with me” replied my sister.
The first thing we notice as we get out of the car is the heat crashing down on us like a burning blanket. The amusing, exciting overcrowded amusement park as approaching to the gate we could hear the excited shouts of people. The long queue people were shouting for the tickets kids are very energetic to go and have fun with the rides, small kids was also very happy and some were crying.
