Personal Narrative: The Root Cause Analysis Tool

When I started taking college courses, I was still working as a freelance writer. It was something that I've been doing for the past 7 years and it helped pay the bills for awhile. For the last two years, I worked for at-home call customer service jobs to help make ends meet. Unfortunately, neither of those previous jobs lasted, and I continued to try to find my way to better paying opportunities as a freelancer. In the past month or so, I decided that this whole freelancing thing isn't working out anymore, and decided to get another full-time job in customer service.

To further illustrate my conflict and conclusion, I decided to use the Root Cause Analysis tool because I think it's important to look closely at the problem in order to configure a solution and possibly prevent this conflict or a similar coflict from happening again.

I didn't want to work in retail again, so I decided to branch out into freelance writing. You've got to remember that at this time, I was still quite young. I was also very niave and really had no idea what I was doing. Despite the odds against me at the time, I found three paying writing jobs with pretty much zero experience (other than my blog). One of those jobs was for a deals/coupon website and they paid surprisingly well for part-time. At the time, it was the best paying job I had, and I continued to do well with the company. I searched for online sales and coupons, wrote up deals, and blogged about sales. I guess you could say it was a dream job for me About two years later, the website was sold to another company and everyone was let go, From there, I was on my own to find another decent paying writing job. In the next few years, I was able to find a handful of good jobs, but none that paid as well as the previous
