When I started taking college courses, I was still working as a freelance writer. It was something that I've been doing for the past 7 years and it helped pay the bills for awhile. For the last two years, I worked for at-home call customer service jobs to help make ends meet. Unfortunately, neither of those previous jobs lasted, and I continued to try to find my way to better paying opportunities as a freelancer. In the past month or so, I decided that this whole freelancing thing isn't working out anymore, and decided to get another full-time job in customer service.
To further illustrate my conflict and conclusion, I decided to use the Root Cause Analysis tool because I think it's important to look closely at the problem in order to configure a solution and possibly prevent this conflict or a similar coflict from happening again.
Interesting enough, I quit my job as a cashier at a major retailer back in 2008 when I decided to blog. At the time, I

I didn't want to work in retail again, so I decided to branch out into freelance writing. You've got to remember that at this time, I was still quite young. I was also very niave and really had no idea what I was doing. Despite the odds against me at the time, I found three paying writing jobs with pretty much zero experience (other than my blog). One of those jobs was for a deals/coupon website and they paid surprisingly well for part-time. At the time, it was the best paying job I had, and I continued to do well with the company. I searched for online sales and coupons, wrote up deals, and blogged about sales. I guess you could say it was a dream job for me About two years later, the website was sold to another company and everyone was let go, From there, I was on my own to find another decent paying writing job. In the next few years, I was able to find a handful of good jobs, but none that paid as well as the previous
Throughout my lifetime thus far, I have had 5 different careers. My first job was when I was 16 years old, where I worked as a cashier and stocker at the 99 Cents Only store. I had been promoted from a stocker to cashier within a couple months and ended up leaving the company a year later. When I was 17, my mother bought her first house after the divorce in the city of Surprise, Arizona. Working at the 99 Cents Only store would be to far for me to travel, so I found another job at Quiznos Subs. I ended up working as a cashier, but quickly moved up to a shift leader and assistant to the store owner. I was in charge of ordering supplies and counting down the register at night, while making deposits at the bank. I ended up working for Quiznos Subs until 2005, when I
My first real job out of college at the age of 23 consisted of managing, editing, and writing content for a magazine, by the age of 24 after moving to Washington DC. I had more experience and decided to run my own online magazine. When I initially started the magazine it was second nature to me, since I have always managed content in college in Mississipi, I believe that through the years I have a grasp on good content. When you are a journalist you learn how to develop a journalistic point of view to make the magazine more successful for your readers. I implement that same method and point of view that I learned over the years, and translate back into Kweli
On the about last week of March, I, Sgt. A. Walton confiscated an unauthorized Casio G-Shock Gray/Black/Light Blue in color watch that was sent to Nottaway Correctional Center by Offender C. Barker #1421016 family member.
Often times, book lovers are brought down by the awful films inspired by novels they enjoy. When compared to their book, the movies frequently do not portray the right concepts and details the author had intended. Therefore, most viewers are disappointed with the film adaptation. To Kill a Mockingbird is no exception for some people, however, I subjectively feel that the novel written by Harper Lee and the film directed by Robert Mulligan compliment each other. The portrayed elements of the town of Maycomb, Tom Robinson's character, and the scene of the trail resemble relatively close between the novel and film of To Kill a Mockingbird.

Throughout the past year I went through a great deal of undertakings that caused me to become more experienced with my skills and how to overcome various challenges. These really built up my character and the way I am today. In all aspects, this past year consisted of going to Killington, Vermont, my brother going into the Air Force, meeting him in Texas for his graduation of basic training, completing a double backflip on a trampoline, landing a front flip on flat ground, accomplishment of a 2 ½ front flip on a diving board, getting 2nd at leagues, and competing in districts. All of these activities have advanced me in a skill or challenged me to an extent.
After leaving school, I landed a job at a Software Engineering company. This job was perfect; I was writing code and crunching numbers to my hearts desire. After a few years,
In my hand, the tool rested between my fingers. Using any hue allowed me to create a masterpiece of my own. The honey colored wooden rod with wispy hair, carried and guided every drop of the opaque liquid paint. I held and treated the brush like a delicate rose.
Henry Ford once said, “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.” This quote meant nothing to me until my freshman volleyball season. Our school has always been successful in volleyball, and, until then, I rationalized that it was solely from a great deal of talent, but it turns out I understood wrong. There is one aspect of sports that our coaches at West Delaware know how to teach better than almost any other coaches, and that is teamwork. I learned that after one particular game last year.
Hope your weekend was great. Mine on the other hand, well lets just say... I most defiantly learned a few lessons and of coarse, the hard way.
Ever since I was in high school, school introduced me on quoting sources but I never realized how wrong I was putting them together. For instance, integrating the quotations into my own text has always been the hardest part for myself for the reason that I wouldn't combined the quotations successfully in the right places, same thing happens when introducing quotations, at least for me. Although, after reading chapters 1-3, I learned and I got so many ideas on how to write just about anything, and we are not even half way through with the book. When I was writing my diagnostic essay I would overthink too much on how to put the author's words and mine together. From this perspective, I started a sentence with a quotation, but I was mistaken because
I’m 17 years old. Not too old, but just old enough to have experienced some things in life. Some are good, some are bad, but they all taught me something. In the past 8 years of my life, I haven’t had a single day where I don’t look back on the things that have happened to me. Sometimes I’m thankful that those things happened, and sometimes I get depressed about them, I guess it really depends on the mood I’m in.
"That will be $2500, please." I stared incredulously at the cashier. “Can I pay in credit?” I swiped my hopes through the credit card reader and continued my frustration throughout my day. My wife, soon new born, and I had just began renting a home. I had always thought life had less complexity within it. “Is this life, paying for the rest of your life?” I asked myself. This time I saw my parents within me. Bills, insurance, and the next check; I could see the great value of those words and share my parents worries. I remember that my mother and father worried dearly about having food on the table for my brother and I every day. At that point however, I was still confused, thinking that life was about getting a job and being set for life but that is not the case. I was months away from becoming a parent myself and I felt that this would all shift towards me and stand heavily on my shoulders. However, I was aiming for something better to offer. I knew at this point that all the worrying had to shift from myself, to finding a way to provide the best I could for my wonder baby girl and wife.
They say that sometimes in life, you make a plan, and God laughs at it. To earn my living, I telecommute. The computer I use to work on had been around for a very long time and was getting to finicky. So I can up with a plan. I had money saved up, I was going to do some research and weight my options, and then when the back to school sales started I would get a new computer. I had the situation all under control…then my computer decided to bite the big one ahead of schedule, just hours before I was scheduled to work. So I rushed out to the store, told the sales rep what I needed, and purchased the computer she recommended. I took it home and set it up. All was well…until, my next shift. My computer refused to cooperate with the online
Everyone has done something they will later regret in life, often out of strong feelings, It is something that we look back at and try to completely forget, but we are never able to. An event like this happened to me when I decided that listening to my parents was ‘overrated’ and made my own rash, unwise decision. My parents had wanted me to get out of the house and fit some physical activity into my schedule, which, at the moment, consisted of sitting in front of my computer all day long. They had allowed me to choose what I wanted to do, but suggested swimming, since it is most likely the most beneficial sport. I, however, insisted that my choice was better, but that quickly changed.
