This decorative mask represents my best friend named Melissa in numerous ways. The structure of the head is shaped as a rabbit meaning that my best friend is always active due to the fact that rabbits are always moving around. The way she is active is by playing sports such as soccer and volleyball. Furthermore, with the structure of the head one half is the sun, and the other half is the moon. The reason why it’s split in half is because she’s both in the same time. The sun displays how she brightens people’s days. For example, if someone is having an unpleasant day she would try to cheer them up in multiple ways which is why the sun has more than one color. The moon displays how one can be happy, but still has hidden secrets
The biggest failure I experienced was back during my Sophomore year. The hardest class in the high school was AP World History in which the requirements were hours of homework a night. Many people tried to convince me not to take the course due to the fact that it is considered the hardest class in the high school. My mom tried her hardest to try and persuade me to take a different class but I felt that it was a requirement for me to take it to prove to the colleges that I was up for the task and that I was prepared to do the work necessary to succeed in college. The course required reading a whole chapter in the text book in three days and take a quiz to prove that we read and understood the topics. This is where I struggled the most because memorizing the chapters and the major topics was very difficult unlike others who could recited the

A person in particular that he met was a man named Dellwood Barker. Dellwood and Shed fall in love and have a sexual relationship. 3. The mask appears to be done in a mosaic of various geometric stone shapes, such as triangular, square, rectangular, oval and biomorphic shapes. The beads are circular and oval in shape most closed, others are cylindrical in shape, and rectangular. There are lines that you can appreciate that separate each mosaic. Overall you can appreciate all the jade in the mask with an espectacular green color. You can also see a neutral color; white, which is most likely the shell and pearl. The symmetrically shaped stones create a striking balance to the mask. The eyes and the ears have also geometric shapes, which
In the novel Alabama Moon a boy named Moon is the main character. Moon is very independent because throughout the story he does a lot of things on his own including living alone. On page 3 I found out that he was ten years old because it said “I was ten years old and he’d taught me everything I needed to know about living out in the forest.” So this showed me that he knew how to live in his own out in the forest and that he was ten years old which was pretty young to be living on his own out in the forest. At first when Moon was scared and lonely without his dad he was aggressive with the other characters. On page 27 Moon really showed his anger toward Mr.Abroscotto
It is true in life that everything happens for a reason. It is also true to say that sometimes it is all about being in the right place, at the right time. There was never a more prominent example of this than a traumatic summers evening, only a few years ago.
"The Moon We Left Behind" is an article about the importance of the US space program, and why such a program shouldn't be cancelled. The US space program was cancelled in 2010 according to the article by president Obama inciting the need of Charles Krauthammer to write the article before it was cancelled. The article “The Moon We Left Behind” was written in July 17, 2009; a year before the space program was actually cancelled. Charles Krauthammer is a widely known author and an experienced veteran within the field of journalism since 1981. Today, the space program is not of great importance; but to Charles Krauthammer, the space program, as many do, saw the program as important. Their reasoning is the usage of such a program can advance technology,
Clink! Clink! Clink! This is the dreaded sound of the tireless work Luis must do, shining hubcap after hubcap after hubcap. This troubled character has many difficulties in his life, including his mother’s death, which led him to start up a fairly benign gang, created to help him escape his pain. I believe the author effectively uses many literary techniques including hyperbole and understatement, diction, and symbols to enhance this short story written by Judith Cofer, Catch the Moon, as well as revealing aspects pertaining to character and theme.
Almost all artwork of the Northwest Coast Tribes has a story behind it. This mask is about a young boy named Alikwamae who was successful and well known among the people in his village. He was orphaned as a child and was therefore sent to live with his jealous uncle who one day abused him in hopes that he would die. He was very weak when he woke up but he found a mouse who took him to an Undersea Kingdom where he met the Chief of the Undersea Kingdom, Kumugwe. Alikwamae wanted to help his people so Kumugwe gave him a power that would allow him to transform into a sea bear. Alikwamae went back to his village and was able to transform, heal the sick and injured, predict the future, and interpret dreams. (www.montclairartmuseum.org)
When I was extended seven feet above the ground, I knew we had succeeded. My two bases were in front of me and my backspot was behind me. I heard the familiar counts of my backspot “one, two, three, four”, I bounced and pushed myself up into my bases waiting hands, “five, six, seven, eight”, I straightened as my bases lifted me up to chest level. I locked my knees and stayed tight. I put on a smile and looked ahead. I felt my backspot release her hold on my ankles. I heard her voice once again, “extension, one, two, three, four”, I brought my hands down to my sides and focused on staying tight as I slowly rose, “five, six, seven, eight. I was all the way up. Then a few moments later I heard the counts as they brought me to chest level then back down to the ground. We had done it, we had hit the stunt and did an extension.
After Dallas had convinced everyone else that going to the bar and getting shit-faced was a good idea. She was forced to go as well. Seeing as how she was practically their baby sitters. Darry stayed behind with Johnny and Pony, not wanting them to go. While she was stuck with Dally, Steve, Two-Bit, and Soda. And she as the designated driver. They all looked old enough to be drinking, even though they weren't, so they got to go into the bar.
I sit in miraculous wonder- As the world’s commotion falls to slumber The crisp cool under the shadow of a tree With nothing but silence surrounding me This is where I feel at peace When there are no prying eyes and the everlasting noise tends to cease Here I can hear the beat of a dragonfly’s wings
The last time I remember something changing the night sky in my life time was the comet Hale-bopp back in 1997. I used to sit on the porch on my townhouse and start at it with my Dad. I was only 12 then so I didn't really have the most in-depth knowledge on what a comet was, but it blew my mind into read as much as I could about space. Speaking of the nighttime sky, astronomers are predicting the sky could look a little different in 2022.
I lifted the mask from the box and admired its beauty. I feel like the mask was a magical mask. I feel like it would bring good things to me. The colors are amazing red, blue, green, yellow, purple, orange, gray, and pink. All the colors make it look and feel magical. I felt different as I slowly put the wooden mask over my face.
any of my previous content types. Unlike a video or a written piece of content, a good Instagram photograph is an instant message - this is why I have now adopted Instagram as my main blogging outlet. Ultimately, marketing and SEO are two of the key tools in my toolkit because I fully intend to put them to formidable use once I have my personal website fully built and the Breaking Cinema podcast finished. If I had taken the job with Sunflower, I would never have obtained the current level of understanding I have with marketing and SEO precisely because I would not have had the time to experiment as I have done with my online presence. You can read more about my understanding of marketing on my DigitalMarketing.me coursework blog.
It was last summer. My friends and I decided to go to splash together. I really loved going to splash and since I didn’t go last year I was excited to go. We started out going on the swings, which felt like you were flying. Then we went on the hurricane, which was my favorite at the time. Lindsey wanted me to go on Zero Gravity but I was kind of scared to. I told her maybe later. After we went on more rides and had lots more fun Lindsey asked me again if we could go on it. I asked her if it was scary and she said no. Finally I said yes. I had never been a fan of rides so that’s why it was a big deal for me to ride a ride like Zero Gravity. I was nervous but very excited. As we stepped on the ride my stomach fluttered. I picked a spot by Lindsey
