This internship experience exceeded my personal expectations. I am very grateful that I was able to take an internship position with Honda Indy Toronto. This internship not only assisted in my graduation process from an exceptional program at Brock University, it opened my world into an entirely different ballpark. Without this experience, I would have never been able to receive the large amount of interviews that I have been able to receive across Ontario. From Mississauga, Richmondhill, Oakville, and Toronto, I have been to different interviews, not only because of my educational background, but my practical experience as well. Overall, this internship experience far exceeded my expectations. I am very glad that I worked for such a …show more content…
I was able to learn at a rapid pace, and develop a strong organizational understanding of what I needed to know from more experienced staff members. Once I was able to understand what was expected of me I was able to take the reins and provide my leadership qualities when I could. I was dependable and trustworthy, and put forth my best attitude and work ethic in any and all situations. My thoughts, opinions and ideas were all genuine and in the best interest of the organization and the organizational culture. I feel that I had a strong understanding of the organizational behaviour, and how to react in various situations that were given to me, and my ability to think quickly and make educated decisions, I feel, were of optimum performance. I have hard evidence that my ability to represent the Honda Indy Toronto brand was positive with regards to the event vendors, sponsors and exhibitors. I received plenty of emails and personal SMS messages explaining their gratitude towards my hospitality. I also had a full understanding of the organizational rules, regulations and policies and abided by them to my fullest extent. I fully recognized my role and function within the organizational processes and I realized the interconnectedness between all processes. I had assessed myself this way in congruence with my final performance appraisal as well as my own

HELLO GUYS!!! I have something veryyyyyyyy important to tell you! After all of my stressing about FAFSA ( Free Application Federal Student Aid) , Colleges, and Transportation, I decided to further my education at Rowan University. It took me a long time to make this decision because this wasn’t my first choice! My first choice/ dream school was LIU Brooklyn ( Long Island University) in Brooklyn, New York. I was recently accepted there and planned on attending there, but their out-of-state tuition was extremely high! Their tuition was $33,000 a year and poor black man like myself, cannot afford it. I really loved LIU because it's a great school, beautiful campus, and most of all, it's in New York. I had my whole planned before it even started,
Today was my first day at my new internship at Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs) at Saint James. I worked alongside with my site supervisor Sue-Ann Villano, she gave an introduction to RHIO and its purpose. I was also introduced with other employees in the office and their contributions to RHIO.
The Jersey City Summer Internship Program has given me a chance to experience my first job. They graciously enough placed us in Brown Brothers Harriman Bank. Let me tell you, I would not be anywhere else. This place is candy land for me, to learn and understand how systems/technology works. But, not only am I grateful for this knowledge and experience, I appreciate the way it was organized. Jason, the way you organized this event was spectacular and it incorporated some hands on experience, not just listening to specific instructions. Besides the work life, you’ve given me advice for college and how to balance your private life with work, so you don’t stress yourself out. You put a spin on every task I do, which makes me confident and takes
One day in Canada, I was just little pieces of polymer. And one of my friends were specks of sand. It was a very busy day. People kept walking and stepping on me and my friend. People never saw us on the ground as we were only just raw materials.
Prior to attending Algonquin college for my first year in the practical nursing program, I had a rather large break from my academic studies. Being out of school for over five years, I can’t say I remember the entirety of my experiences in English courses. What I do remember, and what stands true to this point, is that I am not very fond of English classes. From as far back as I can remember, I always struggled with spelling and grammar. Throughout elementary, secondary, and post-secondary school, English was always the one subject that I just couldn’t ace. English courses make me feel overwhelmed and anxious, as I know I am being critiqued on the one thing I am not good at.
The average person hears the word memoir and believe deeply that it is solely their memory, when in actuality it is the recalling of thoughts through influence. When I started to write this paper, I immediately thought of my graduation in May 2015. But it was hard for me to distinguish what I truly thought and what I had heard others say. So I went on to think of the summer program at Dillard through Emerging Scholars June 2015. Here, I thought this would be great, because there was no family around to tell me how great it was, but then I thought about all the other things that students and faculty had said and that made me indecisive on whether or not I wanted to continue on that path. I then decided that I should write about my first semester
Few days after my 8th birthday, my family and I left our home in India and began a new life in Canada. It was not long before, I became aware of how different I was from the other children at school. Not just aesthetically but even our thoughts were different. Steadily, I became isolated and lowered my self-esteemed. At recess one day, the clear skies suddenly changed in the dark clouds with chilling wind. I was shivering in the cold, when one of girls from my class wrapped me inside of her jacket. She was smiling and at me and hugged me and said, “warm”. Soon other kids hugged us and we formed a small huddle. Although they did not know me, they understood the gestures of hugging to provide warmth. Jessica, the girl with the jacket, and
Last summer, I participated in the Student Historian internship at the New-York Historical Society (N-YHS) and navigated from New Jersey to the museum every day. During the internship, I researched, wrote, edited, and formatted a blog post on a piece from their collection, now posted on the N-YHS website, demonstrating my strong research and writing skills. I am currently taking a photography class and enjoy using DSLR cameras in manual and automatic mode. Moreover, we learn about shutter speed, depth of field, aperture, and ISO as well as how to adjust the camera in order to take the best possible picture. In photography class, I take weekly photos on various subjects as well as edit and enhance photos in Photoshop. Last year, I took a sculpture and ceramics class where we not only learned how to create sculptures and ceramics but also the elements of sculpture and design.
I am currently a student attending Grandville High School and am looking for my first job. Although I do not have actual work experience, I work well with people of all ages and have experience with organization and time management, skills I have learned from my 5 years of volunteering at the local library, helping with events such as carnivals, registering people for the summer reading program, and also promoting the library and its programs. This past school year, I have taken 3 honors classes, 1 A.P. class, 1 foreign language class, and participated in the school symphony orchestra. I worked hard to learn my material to keep up with the fast pace of my classes and finished the year with all A's. Outside of class, I play the piano and was
Around the age of 13, and before moving to Canada, I used to attend a private school in Egypt called the Chouifat. I experienced some of my best memories and some of my worst. I have met some really inspiring people that taught me a lot, and I met some stupid people that carried me down the wrong path. I have done a great deal of good during my 9 years in that school and I have done a lot of bad too. During my last day of school I did something that was incredibly foolish. I decided to jump over the wall that surrounded the school. And this wall was not some cute wall that you can hope over, no! It was a 7 foot, rusty, old, unsafe, disgusting, dust covered wall. After I climbed and jumped off the wall on to the street, I hear a screeching
Montreal, a city in Quebec. A city that is the most populated city in the province and is has a multi-ethnic society. Montreal who is known for the Grand Prix races and Expo 67. Montreal is the place where I was born and is my home. It is the place where I was raised and I am still growing up in this city and studying here in order to achieve the future i wish for. This will take you through the adventures from curious teenagers following in the footsteps of many Canadian soldiers that helped make possible the freedom Europe relishes today.
I started my Fashion Major with Mrs. Walker on September 6. The experience is different than a typical internship, because Mrs. Walker is a teacher at my school and the internship is in a normal class environment. Being able to work with a teacher than I 'm already acquainted with and comfortable around made the experience more relaxed. During the first day, Mrs. Walker and I created lists of monthly goals, expectations of my performance in her class, and field trip ideas.
My education goals are to learn in an environment where I can fully utilize my strengths, tackle large-scale projects with other people, and work with professors and other students to further my education. I also plan to work on a research project and participate in non-engineering extracurricular activities to diversify my experience. The University of Waterloo will help me achieve my educational goals through their innovative environment and co-op opportunities. Electrical Engineering is a course where I can utilize my academic strengths in science and math and balance my work between tangible and intangible objects. Many of my education goals can be achieved and exceeded in an engineering. I chose Risk Management because I feel an interest
